  • compte tenu de ce que l'organe de soulèvement et le cadre central se trouvent être en service, mais aussi en une éventuelle configuration de stockage, dans l'encombrement du cadre d'ancrage, le châssis de redressage de l'invention se révèle plus compact que les solutions antérieures faisant intervenir des équipements auxiliaires tels que tabourets ;
  • le châssis de redressage conforme à l'invention, permet à volonté de travailler en toute sécurité sur la carrosserie, lorsque celle-ci est fixée par les éléments de bridage au châssis d'ancrage, mais aussi lorsque celle-ci est simplement soutenue par les patins d'appui de roues du cadre central ;
  • le châssis de redressage, pris dans son ensemble , peut, selon les besoins, être mobile ou fixe par rapport au sol ; lorsqu'il est fixe, une fosse peut être prévue en-dessous de manière à minimiser l'encombrement en hauteur du châssis en configuration abaissée ; quant à la mobilité du châssis de redressage dans son ensemble, elle peut être tout simplement obtenue, avec une grande sécurité d'emploi, par la mobilité du dispositif de soulèvement, qui, étant en principe fixé au cadre central, occupe en conséquence une position centrale vis-à-vis du châssis, et se révèle donc permettre un déplacement dans une bonne configuration d'équilibre.

  • on laisse descendre le cadre central 1, et donc la carrosserie du véhicule, jusqu'à ce que les portions appropriées de la carrosserie viennent se loger dans les outils de bridage en configuration ouverte ; on referme ces outils de bridage en sorte de verrouiller la carrosserie sur le cadre d'ancrage 2 ;

Claims (16)

  1. Frame for straightening automobile bodyshells comprising a horizontal anchor frame (2, 102) having two longitudinal members (2A, 102A, 2B, 102B) adapted to be place under the lateral edges of a bodyshell to be straightened, clamping members (6) adapted to be fixed removably to said anchor frame, a lifting device (3, 103) adapted to displace the frame vertically, this frame also including a centre frame (1, 101) fixed to said lifting device (3, 103), situated between the longitudinal members of the anchor frame, said centre frame (1, 101) being free to be lifted relative to and above the anchor frame, and temporary coupling means (13, 14, 30, 114, 130) for selective fastening of the centre frame to the anchor frame, characterized in that said centre frame includes wheel supports (4, 104) aligned with said longitudinal members, and two hollow longitudinal members in which are slidably inserted bars (4A, 104A) attached to the wheel supports (4, 104).
  2. The straightener frame according to claim 1, characterized in that at least two wheel supports (104) are joined by a connecting crossmember (104B).
  3. The straightener frame according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said bars are removable to enable the sliding engagement of a support bar (20) of a straightening tool.
  4. The straightener frame according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the bars and the longitudinal members incorporate bores (11, 12) adapted to be aligned with each other in various relative configurations of the wheel supports relative to the centre frame and to receive conjointly temporary coupling pins.
  5. The straightener frame according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that at least one of the bars (104A) includes at least one retractable transverse stud (161) coupled to an exterior operating handle (162).
  6. The straightener frame according to claim 5, characterized in that said exterior handle (162) is inside a holding handle (110) with which said wheel support or its bar is provided.
  7. The straightener frame according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the lifting device (3) moves essentially vertically.
  8. The straightener frame according to claim 7, characterized in that the lifting device (3) comprises two pairs of lifting arms articulated together in their middle portions.
  9. The straightener frame according to any one of claims 1, 7 and 8, characterized in that said lifting device includes a top frame (103B) to which the centre frame (101) is fixed.
  10. The straightener frame according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that one of the frames includes centring studs (14) adapted to enter vertically lugs (13) on the other frame.
  11. The straightener frame according to claim 10, characterized in that the studs have a screwthreaded end adapted to cooperate with nuts, said studs, said lugs and said nuts constituting means for temporary coupling of the two frames.
  12. The straightener frame according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the temporary coupling means include a horizontally mobile bolt (31, 131) having a rear bearing surface (41) adapted, in a bolt projecting configuration, to abut against a vertical locking finger in a lowered configuration, said bolt being free to slide rearwardly when said finger is in a raised configuration.
  13. The straightener frame according to claim 12, characterized in that said bolt is part of a locking block (130) fastened to one of the frames which includes a vertical hole adapted to receive a vertical stud (114) fastened to the other frame, said bolt being adapted to project into said hole.
  14. The straightener frame according to claim 13, characterized in that said bolt is a horizontal flat bolt coupled to the piston of a cylinder.
  15. The straightener frame according to any one of claims 12 to 14, characterized in that the bolt is spring-loaded towards its projecting configuration by springs (38, 136).
  16. The straightener frame according to any one of claims 1 to 15, characterized in that the longitudinal members of the anchor frame have hollow tubular transverse portions (2E) adapted to receive, for temporary fastening therein, a support bar (20) of a straightening tool.
