Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing packs from a plurality of individual packs which have essentially vertical side walls and can be put together to form a trunk arrangement which has a flat base with an essentially closed, circumferential edge.
- Such a method is known from DE 36 06 826 C2.
- the prior art describes how such a trunk arrangement can be wrapped with stretch film, so that a film region (underwrapping) projecting downward over the lateral surface and a further film region can form around the lower edge of the underside of the trunk arrangement.
- a disadvantage of the known method is that a special winding station is required for this, in which a winding arm is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis and a support plate is provided which carries the container.
- the task is to create a process to specify containers from several individual packs, in which winding stations known per se can be used and in which the advantages of the stretch film are particularly evident.
- Stretch films are understood to be those which consist, for example, of PVA copolymers, polypropylene or PVC, as described in EP 152 960 B1 mentioned (cf. column 9 below).
- Such films are also offered on the German market, some under other trademarks, and are known to the person skilled in the art. They have the property that they are very extensible during the winding process and retract after the tension has been removed and their length reduce and maintain this stretch effect even over a long period of time. It is thus possible, without the use of cardboard or cardboard strips, to produce packaging which can at least serve as intermediate packaging. For example, packaged coffee, washing powder, grain feed and the like, as are usually offered in cardboard packaging, are suitable as packaging goods.
- trunk arrangement By wrapping the trunk arrangement with a vertically oriented winder, the trunk arrangement no longer being moved during the winding, a defined and simple manufacture of such packaging is possible.
- a winder with a film ring track is preferably used.
- the trunk arrangement should preferably have a cuboid shape. However, it is not excluded that hexagonal shapes or round shapes are also wound if appropriate individual packs can be placed in such a trunk arrangement. Care should be taken to choose a solid, substantially immovable and difficult to squeeze form of stem assembly. However, it is not necessary for the trunk arrangement to consist of practically incompressible cuboid packs, but depending on the pressure and tension of the stretch film, cardboard packaging of the aforementioned type can preferably also be wrapped.
- FIG. 1 shows a device in which containers 1 can be produced from several individual packs which have essentially vertical side walls and can be put together to form a trunk arrangement 3.
- a trunk arrangement is placed on a first conveyor 4, on which the individual packs in the form of the trunk arrangement 3, that is to say loosely put together, can be conveyed.
- the first conveyor 4 ends shortly before a winding station and allows the trunk arrangement to enter the winding station 3 practically without vibration.
- the conveying area of the first conveyor and the winding station is laterally limited by two adjustable guide plates 14.
- the cuboid packs of the trunk arrangement slide between the guide plates 14.
- the guide plates end in the region of their front end in a tongue 14 'which is slightly curved inwards.
- the trunk arrangement ends with its footprint flush with the free ends of the trains 14 '.
- the trunk assembly In the winding station 3, the trunk assembly is aligned with its flat base so that the base is vertical and protrudes so far that it wraps freely can be. Accordingly, it protrudes into the winding path of a film-ring web winder 7, which is equipped with a supply roll 11 and winds the film onto the lower end of the trunk arrangement via a correspondingly adjustable tension (setting rolls 12).
- the tongue 14 ' also protrude into the winding area and are wrapped around.
- the wrapping with the stretch film 8 takes place in such a way that the stretch film extends at least 1/5 to 1/3 above the height of the trunk arrangement and with an underwrapping of 25 to 75% of the film width in the plane of the standing area 5.
- the aforementioned values have proven to be optimal for such a winding and packaging technology.
- the wrapped package is pushed in the direction of a discharge conveyor 10 with the aid of a shock conveyor (not shown), the stretch film also being pushed off the tongues.
- the packs are removed from the conveyor and returned to the normal standing position, as can be seen in FIG. 4.
- a container 1 with a winding 9 is thus provided, with sufficient support being provided without the use of cardboard strips, underlay boards and the like. It is possible to create a container that can be immediately placed on the shelves in discount stores, for example.
- Figure 3 shows a container 1 ', in which the winding process has been repeated. This creates a winding 9 and 9 '.
- FIG. 4 shows an embodiment in which a tear thread 20 is provided between two rows of packs, which additionally facilitates the opening of the container.
- the trunk arrangement should preferably have a cuboid shape have in order to be able to wind up the usual box packs. However, it is not excluded that, for example, plastic bottles are also put together to form containers of this type. It is essential that the trunk arrangement remains conveyable and wrapped in the formation set aside.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing packs from a plurality of individual packs which have essentially vertical side walls and can be put together to form a trunk arrangement which has a flat base with an essentially closed, circumferential edge.
Such a method is known from DE 36 06 826 C2. The prior art describes how such a trunk arrangement can be wrapped with stretch film, so that a film region (underwrapping) projecting downward over the lateral surface and a further film region can form around the lower edge of the underside of the trunk arrangement. This results in the shape of a banderole, which saves film and time and is sufficient for cohesion. Individual items can be removed without having to open the container with a tool.
A disadvantage of the known method is that a special winding station is required for this, in which a winding arm is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis and a support plate is provided which carries the container.
The task is to create a process to specify containers from several individual packs, in which winding stations known per se can be used and in which the advantages of the stretch film are particularly evident.
- mehrere Einzelpackungen werden zu einer Stammanordnung zusammengestellt, so daß sie eine ebene Standfläche mit einer im wesentlichen geschlossenen, umlaufenden Kante ergeben;
- die Stammanordnung wird derartig auf die Seite gelegt, daß die Standfläche vertikal ausgerichtet ist;
- die Stammanordnung wird in eine Wickelstation eingeführt, in der die untere Kante der Stammanordnung von einer umlaufenden Folienspule mit einer Stretchfolie umwickelt wird derart, daß sich die Stretchfolie wenigstens zu einem Fünftel bis zu einem Drittel über die Höhe der Stammanordnung und mit einer Unterwicklung von 25 % bis 75 % der Folienbreite in die Ebene der Standfläche erstreckt;
- anschließend wird die Stammanordnung wieder aufgegerichtet.
- several individual packs are put together to form a trunk arrangement, so that they form a flat base with a substantially closed, peripheral edge;
- the trunk arrangement is placed on the side in such a way that the standing surface is aligned vertically;
- the trunk arrangement is introduced into a winding station, in which the lower edge of the trunk arrangement is wrapped with a stretch film by a circumferential film spool such that the stretch film extends at least one-fifth to one-third above the height of the trunk arrangement and with an under-winding of 25% extends up to 75% of the film width in the plane of the stand area;
- then the trunk arrangement is erected again.
In this case, use is made of rewinding stations which are known per se, as are shown, for example, in European patent specification 152 960 B1. Stretch films are understood to be those which consist, for example, of PVA copolymers, polypropylene or PVC, as described in EP 152 960 B1 mentioned (cf.
By wrapping the trunk arrangement with a vertically oriented winder, the trunk arrangement no longer being moved during the winding, a defined and simple manufacture of such packaging is possible.
For this purpose, a winder with a film ring track is preferably used. The trunk arrangement should preferably have a cuboid shape.
- a first conveyor on which the individual packs can be conveyed in the form of a trunk arrangement and which ends shortly before a winding station,
- a winding station in which the trunk arrangement can be wrapped in a position with a vertically oriented standing surface with a stretch film,
- and a conveyor that picks up and transports the wrapped containers.
Weitere Merkmale sind in weiteren Unteransprüchen angesprochen.Further features are addressed in further subclaims.

- FIG. 4 shows a further embodiment of the container,
In the
The wrapping with the
Dabei entsteht ein Wickel 9 und 9'.Figure 3 shows a container 1 ', in which the winding process has been repeated. This creates a winding 9 and 9 '.
Furthermore, FIG. 4 shows an embodiment in which a
The trunk arrangement should preferably have a cuboid shape have in order to be able to wind up the usual box packs. However, it is not excluded that, for example, plastic bottles are also put together to form containers of this type. It is essential that the trunk arrangement remains conveyable and wrapped in the formation set aside.
