Definitions

  • the invention relates to a thread store according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a thread store is known from EP 0 534 263.
  • the thread store disclosed there has an essentially cylindrical storage drum, on the circumferential surface of which thread turns can be deposited.
  • the thread supply stored there can be withdrawn overhead through a central draw-off eye.
  • a thread brake is provided there so that the thread can be drawn off with a specific thread tension.
  • a brake strip made of a flexible material is glued into a truncated cone-shaped holding member.
  • the inside of the holding element is spring-loaded on a trigger sliding surface of the drum end region.
  • the thread is clamped between the take-off sliding surface and the braking surface of the brake strip in this thread storage device.
  • the funnel-shaped braking surface rests on a curved trigger sliding surface of the front drum area.
  • the contact surfaces between the braking surface and the trigger sliding surface are minimal. Because of the only punctiform thread clamping, the brake strip is only loaded linearly there. In the case of a thread store constructed similarly to the described embodiment, this has the consequence that the thread imprints the brake strip over the course of time on a circumferential washboard-shaped wave structure. With a brake strip destroyed in this way, it is no longer possible to pull off the thread evenly. As a result of the cushioning acting only at the front and in the coaxial direction to the drum axis, the brake ring performs an overall movement when the thread is drawn off, which occurs during a complementary radial cushioning, as is the case with the memory on the market, degenerates into a wobble movement.
  • a funnel-shaped holding element according to US Pat. No. 4,068,807, which has a rubber disc which serves as a braking element, performs a purely axial evasive movement.
  • a funnel-shaped holding member is provided in the support area on a curved drum face with a metal coating which, due to the only axially acting forces, pinches the thread at a point.
  • a large number of thread brakes are known from WO 91/14032, which are essentially actively modulated. There the thread is mostly angled towards the brake strip and pulled under the latter. From Fig. 29 there plate-like brakes in the form of a flat truncated cone jacket are already known, which pinch the thread at a point.
  • a thread store is known from AT 328 993, in which the end face of a measuring drum is designed as a conical surface which interacts with the end face of a clamping plate.
  • the clamping plate is provided with an insert made of elastic material in the area interacting with the conical surface.
  • the clamping plate is rotatably mounted on a sleeve which is displaceable in a sleeve. When the thread tension changes, the clamping plate can lift off the end face, in order to modulate the brake pressure acting on the thread, similar to US Pat. No. 4,068,807.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of developing a generic thread store in such a way that the thread take-off is improved.

  • the thread is pulled between the flat support of the brake strip and the trigger sliding surface.
  • the thread is preferably drawn off in such a way that it leaves the thread brake in the tangential direction to the take-off sliding surface. This is preferably achieved in that the thread take-off eye is located in the region of the imaginary cone tip of the take-off sliding surface. This ensures that the contact force of the brake strip on the storage drum is independent of the thread tension. This results in a constant thread tension.
  • a preferred further development of a thread store of the generic type to reduce an evasive movement of the holding member provides an intermediate layer of elastic material between the holding member and the brake strip.
