Abstract

Der Werkstoff enthält eine Isolierstoffmatrix und einen in die Matrix eingebetteten Füllstoff und zeichnet sich durch eine zeilenförmige Struktur aus. Der überwiegende Teil der Zellen ist mit einem lichtbogenlöschende Eigenschaften aufweisenden Material gefüllt oder enthält ein Material, welches bei Lichtbogeneinwirkung Lichtbogenlöschgas bildet.
Zur Verbesserung der Schaltleistung kann ein solcher Werkstoff mit Vorteil in einem Druckgasschalter eingesetzt werden, bei dem der Schaltlichtbogen (11) mit Löschgas beblasen wird. Hierbei wird der Werkstoff bevorzugt an löschgasführenden Stellen angeordnet, an denen der Werkstoff der Strahlung des Lichtbogens (11) und der thermischen Wirkung von Lichtbogengasen ausgesetzt ist.
