  3. A cover holder according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the retaining spring(s) (13, 14; 13a, 14a) support(s) the cover (19) under bias.
  4. A cover holder according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the retaining spring(s) (13, 14; 13a, 14a) is (are) constructed to be rounded, preferably with a cylindrical cross-section, at the ends acting on the door closer housing (26).
  5. A cover holder according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that, in the installed position, the cover holder (1) is supported positively at a bearing surface (12) against an opposite surface of the door closer housing (26).
  6. A cover holder according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cover holder (1) is supported on the cover (19) in planar contact.
  7. A cover holder according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cover holder (1) is supported on the cover (19) via resilient positioning arms (15, 16).
  8. A cover holder according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cover holder (1) is held against the cover (19) in a clamping manner.

A cover holder according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the cover holder (1) has a catch projection (9) which projects beyond the door closer housing (26) in the longitudinal direction thereof and which is resilient in that direction, and is separably locked to the cover (19) at that catch projection (9) by means of a catch receiver (22) provided at the associated end face (20) of the cover (19), characterised in that the cover holder (1) supports the cover (19) which is locked to it on the door closer housing (26) via the retaining spring(s) (13a, 14a) in such a manner that it is locked against removal from the door closer housing (26).
  10. A cover holder according to claim 9, characterised in that the cover holder (1) is constructed to be substantially U-shaped in cross-section, the bridge face (2) of the cover holder (1) being associated with one end face (20) of the cover (19) and with the corresponding end face of the door closer housing (26), and having, on the side towards the cover (19), a resilient catch tongue (8) provided with the catch projection (9) and, on the side towards the door closer housing (26), a stop rib (11) which is open in a U-shape and forms the bearing surface (12) for positive connection with the door closer housing (26), and the limb faces (3, 4) of the cover holder (1) overlapping the door closer housing (26) in the longitudinal direction thereof and each having, on the side towards the door closer housing (26), a respective one of the resilient catch tongues (13, 14; 13a, 14a) and, on the side towards the cover (19) and forming the planar-contact support of the cover (19), a respective clamping spring (17, 18) for making the clamping connection with the cover (19), and a respective resilient positioning arm (15, 16) projecting towards the cover (19).
  11. A cover holder according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cover holder (1) is constructed symmetrically with respect to a central plane extending in the longitudinal direction of the door closer housing (26) perpendicular to the mounting plane thereof.
  12. A cover holder according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cover holder (1) is constructed in the form of an injection-moulded plastics article.
