Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for introducing fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine with a blow-in valve for removing compressed gas from the cylinder and for blowing the gas and the delivered fuel into the cylinder, with a valve-side mixing chamber for storing the gas, into which mixing chamber Fuel can be introduced via at least one fuel flow path opening into the mixing chamber, the injection valve having a lift valve for controlling the gas exchange between the combustion chamber and the valve-side space, and wherein the valve seat of the lift valve delimits the mixing chamber from the combustion chamber, the opening of the fuel flow path into the Mixing chamber is arranged in the region of the valve seat of the globe valve.
- a similar fuel injection device for two-stroke internal combustion engines with a mixing chamber is known, which is connected to the combustion chamber via a lift valve.
- the mixing chamber is loaded with compressed cylinder gas via the stroke valve and, after fuel has been injected into the mixing chamber, the resulting mixture is blown into the combustion chamber through the stroke valve.
- the fuel is supplied in the central region of the injection valve, the fuel being metered via a fuel valve designed as a seat valve on that part of the mixing chamber which faces away from the valve seat of the globe valve.
- the valve seat of the fuel valve is arranged on or in the mixing chamber coaxially with the lift valve and can be controlled by the fuel pressure.
- the fuel valve is biased by a spring which is supported on the control piston or on a housing transverse wall, which has the disadvantage that the various component and spring tolerances cause inaccuracies in the fuel metering. Since the valve seat is designed in or on the mixing chamber, the fuel valve requires a guide in the fixed part of the injection valve for a sealing function, which results in disadvantageous friction as a result of the necessary movement between the metering piston of the fuel valve and the guide. Due to the fuel injection into the mixing chamber, which is relatively far from the valve seat of the globe valve, the quality of the mixture preparation in the mixing chamber is quite different.
- an air injection injector in which fuel is mixed with compressed air which is introduced into the nozzle before it is injected into the combustion chamber and is injected through the compressed air.
- this valve is not intended and suitable for removing compressed gas from the cylinder.
- the fuel flow path is partly formed by a longitudinal bore in the valve stem of the lift valve, the fuel being introduced into the valve stem in a region of the lift valve facing away from the valve seat.
- the fuel outlets on the valve stem are arranged centrally with respect to the mixing chamber, which results in mixture preparation is useful when blowing in compressed air, especially when homogeneous mixing is desired.
- stratification of the mixture in the mixing chamber can hardly be achieved in this way.
- the object of the invention is to enable constant, reproducible operating conditions and to improve the mixture preparation in the mixing chamber with a view to reproducible stratification of the mixture in the combustion chamber, in particular in part-load operation.
- the fuel flow path is at least partially formed by a longitudinal bore in the valve stem of the lift valve, the fuel being introduced into the valve stem in a region of the lift valve facing away from the valve seat and in that the fuel flow path is in the region of the mouth into the mixing chamber arranged check valve can be closed against the fuel delivery direction.
- Fat mixture components are stored in the vicinity of the injection valve, and these are blown into the combustion chamber when the mixture is injected.
- the fuel is supplied, for example, via an annular groove outside the mixing chamber and radial bores to the longitudinal bore of the valve stem.
- a very good atomization of the fuel can be achieved in that the mouth is formed by one or more radial spray bores in the injection valve stem.
- the wall of the mixing chamber has a bead-like or nose-like atomizing edge for atomizing the fuel jet in the area of impact of a fuel jet injected through the mouth.
- the fuel jets emerging from the valve stem hit the atomizing edge and are fanned out by it.
- the check valve in the outlet area from the valve stem can prevent vapor bubbles in the fuel supply.
- the check valve is designed as an annular lip valve attached to the valve stem, the lips of which rest on the valve stem in the closed position and close the mouth, the elastically deflected by the fuel pressure in the open position Lips are directed towards the valve seat.
- the ring seated on the injection valve shaft is elastically deformed when acted upon by the fuel pressure and thereby releases the injection openings, the fuel being deflected and atomized in a targeted manner in the direction of the valve seat by the lips of the lip valve.
- the mouth of the fuel flow path lies in an injection area that is spatially separated from the rest of the mixing chamber.
- the mixture stratification is thereby supported in a particularly advantageous manner.
- the evaporation and preparation of the mixture in the mixing chamber can be further improved in that the injection valve has a heating device in the area of the mixing chamber.
- the heating device can be designed, for example, as an electrical resistance heater or as a heat exchanger.
- the mixing chamber wall has a surface which catalytically promotes the pre-reaction of the fuel-air mixture.
- the catalytically active coating on the inside of the mixing chamber favors pre-reactions of the fuel and thereby accelerates the ignition of the mixture cloud after it has been blown into the combustion chamber.
- An injection valve 1 of an internal combustion engine is shown schematically in the figures. With 2 the cylinder head, with the reference number 3 a cylinder of the internal combustion engine is indicated.
- a lift valve 5 is slidably mounted in the valve housing 4 of the injection valve 1.
- the lift valve 5 is actuated by a hydraulic actuation device 6, for example.
- the actuating device 6 can also be pneumatic or electrical.
- an actuating piston 7 of the lift valve 5 is pressurized with hydraulic pressure in the pressure chamber 8 against the force of a spring 9, whereby the lift valve 5 is deflected into the open position. When the pressure is released, the lift valve 5 is brought into the closed position by the spring 9.
- a hydraulic line 10 leads into the pressure chamber 8 and can be connected to a pump 12 or the like via a switching valve 11.
- the pressure chamber 8 can be relieved via the relief line 13.
- 13a denotes a container for the hydraulic fluid, which can also be fuel.
- the switching valve 11 is actuated via an electronic control unit ECU.
- a mixing chamber 14 Arranged within the valve housing 4 is a mixing chamber 14 which, in the open position of the lift valve 5, is flow-connected to the combustion chamber 21 of the internal combustion engine.
- a fuel flow path 15 opens into the mixing chamber 14, via which fuel can be injected into the mixing chamber 14.
- the fuel supply system is indicated by the fuel tank 16, the fuel delivery device 17, a fuel valve 18 and the fuel flow path 15 within the injection valve 1.
- the fuel flow path 15 consists of a feed channel 19 in the valve housing 4, transverse bores 20 in the valve stem 23 in the region of the feed duct 19, a longitudinal bore 22 in the valve stem 23 of the globe valve 5 and spray bores 24 in the valve stem 23 in the region of the valve seat 25.
- a check valve 27 is provided in the region of the through the spray bores 24 formed mouth 26 of the fuel flow path 15 into the mixing chamber 14.
- the check valve 27 is arranged directly in the region of the spray bores 24 or the longitudinal bore 22.
- an atomizing edge 28 is provided opposite each mouth 26 of the spray bores 24 in the mixing chamber 14, at which an emerging fuel jet 29 is atomized finely.
- the edge 28 can be designed as a nose or as an annular bead or the like.
- FIG. 3 shows a detail of the injection valve 1 from FIG. 2 with the atomizing edge 28.
- annular lip valve 30 surrounding the valve stem 23 is provided in the region of the orifices 26.
- the lip valve 30 seated firmly on the valve stem 23 has elastically deformable lips 31 directed in the direction of the combustion chamber, which lips cover and close the orifices 26 of the spray bores 24 in the closed position. Due to the fuel pressure, the lips 31 of the lip valve 30 can be lifted elastically from the valve stem 23, as a result of which the fuel jet 29 is divided and atomized in a fan-shaped manner in the direction of the valve stem 23 and the valve seat 25, as can be seen in the detailed illustration in FIG. 5.
- FIGS. 1, 2 and 4. shows an injection valve 1, the mixing chamber 14 of which is heated by a heating device 32, which can be designed electrically or as a heat exchanger.

Abstract
