Definitions
- the invention relates to a flushing device in a toilet cistern, with an actuating device with which a valve body of a drain fitting is to be raised for the optional triggering of a full or partial flushing, wherein in the case of a partial flushing the valve body is to be lifted with a weight body and with the valve body raised the weight body on the valve body in order to bring it prematurely into the closed position against the buoyancy force of a float after triggering the flushing process, and with a coupling device between the valve body and the weight body.
- the invention also relates to a drain fitting for a cistern, with a housing and a valve body mounted therein and with a Weight body, which is supported on the housing mentioned and can be coupled to the valve body for its loading by means of a connecting member.
- Flushing devices and drain sets of this type are known and enable considerable savings in flushing water. There is therefore a strong public interest in the widespread use of such flushing devices and drain sets.
- the flushing devices which have become known and are used in practice are generally very complex to construct and consist of many individual parts.
- EP-A-0 448 092 shows a flushing device in which the valve body is connected to a weight body in the rest position. In the case of a full flush, the weight body is separated from the valve body. In the case of partial flushing, however, the weight body is raised with the valve body.
- German utility model DE-U-92 15 972 shows a waste set that also enables full or partial flushing. This works with an auxiliary valve and an auxiliary auxiliary valve and a relief chamber and is also designed to be very complex.
- DE-A-36 18 671 shows a flushing device in a toilet cistern in which to trigger a partial flush when the valve body is raised by means of a control member a weight supported on the float housing is taken along.
- the invention has for its object to provide a flushing device and a pop-up waste, which enable a simpler structure and a cheaper execution.
- the object is achieved in a generic flushing device in that the coupling device has a switching element mounted on it in a lower region of the weight body, which automatically connects the weight body to the valve body when the weight body is lifted with a tension element connected to it.
- the drain assembly according to the invention is characterized in that the weight body is connected to the housing mentioned, in such a way that when the weight body is raised the housing controls the connecting member in order to load the lifted valve body with the weight body.
- the drain fitting In the case of the drain fitting according to the invention, its housing is thus used to control the connecting member.
- the valve body thus takes on an additional task.
- the connecting element can thus be arranged so deep in a cistern that it is in the rinsing water when the cistern is full and is therefore less susceptible to limescale deposits. This can significantly improve operational safety.
- the connecting element can largely be integrated in the housing of the waste set, so that a very compact structure can be realized. This is extremely advantageous, particularly in the case of a so-called concealed cistern, since very little space is available, particularly in the upper area.
- a structurally particularly simple and reliable construction is achieved when the switching element or the connecting element has a pawl in the flushing device according to the invention.
- This can then be controlled, in particular, by the housing of the drain fitting in order to latch it onto the valve body when the weight body is lifted.
- the valve body can then be lifted directly on the weight body to trigger a partial flush.
- the weight body is provided with an arm projecting upwards, into which a tension element engages.
- This tension element can be a swivel lever that has a button that can be operated from the outside. When the button is pressed, the pulling element then acts directly on the weight body in order to lift it.
- the valve tube is taken along with the weight body. When the button is released, the weight body rests on the valve body and forces it prematurely onto the seat of the drain valve before the cistern is completely empty.
- a stop is arranged on the weight body according to a development of the invention, which is operatively connected to the valve body in order to lift it.
- the cover of the waste set is rotatably mounted on the housing of the waste set. This has the advantage that the waste set can be mounted in any rotational position. This considerably simplifies automatic assembly of the flushing device or the drain fitting.
- a float housing 4 of a drain fitting 1 is attached to a drain connector 5 in an opening 3 of a cistern 2.
- an actuating device 33 shown schematically in FIG. 3, is arranged in an upper region of the cistern 2, which is not shown here.
- This has two tension elements 26 and 27, which are preferably pivotably mounted independently of one another on a web 28 of the cistern or the cistern cover. At one end, these elements 26 and 27 each have a button 29 and 30, respectively, which are accessible from the outside and which are generally to be operated by hand to initiate a flush.
- the tension element 26 is inserted at the end opposite the button 29 into an eyelet 14 of a weight body 13.
- the weight body 13 When the button 29 is pressed, the weight body 13 is raised.
- the other pulling element 27 engages with the end opposite the button 30 into an eyelet 24 of a valve body 7, which is designed here as an overflow pipe.
- the valve body 7 When the button 30 is pressed, the valve body 7 is raised.
- the pulling elements 26 and 27 can also be actuated, for example, by means of a push button, as is customary in ceramic cisterns will. Other actuating devices are also conceivable, with which the weight body 13 or the valve body 7 can optionally be raised.
- valve body 7 When lifting the valve body 7 with the tension element 27, a plate 9 arranged on the lower body of the valve body 7 is raised by a valve seat 10 of the drain fitting 1. Water present in the cistern 2 can then flow through the window 6 of the housing 4 through the nozzle 5 into a toilet bowl, not shown here.
- the raised valve body 7 is kept floating by the float 8 in a manner known per se until the cistern is essentially completely emptied. By pressing button 30, a so-called full flush is triggered.
- the weight body 13 is not involved in this.
- the valve body 7 is composed of a lower part 38 and an upper, tubular part 25 which is snapped onto it.
- the part 25 forms an extension of the valve body 7 and can be replaced by another with a different length in order to adapt to the height of the cistern.
- the part 25 is detachably latched on the lower part 38 with two molded-on latching tongues 25a.
- the button 29 is actuated and the weight body 13 is raised.
- This body 13 is supported at its lower end with molded-on stilts 17 on a cover 12 of the housing 4 and is displaceably guided on the valve body 7.
- a container 16 open at the top is filled with water 34, which is partially emptied Cistern forms an additional weight.
- the above-mentioned stilts 17 are formed, which are opposite one another at a distance and project downwards.
- a transverse wall 17a is formed on the stilts 17, which reinforce the stilts 17 and stabilize the weight body 13 on the valve tube 7.
- a downwardly displaced cover 12, which is rotatably fastened to the housing 4 with a latching connection 31, carries the weight body 13, which is placed on an upper side 12a of this part 12.
- the cover 12 is provided with an opening 12b into which an arm 21 of a pawl 20 engages.
- This pawl 20 is pivotally mounted on a bearing 18 shown in Figure 8 and forms a connection or switching element.
- the pawl 20 is designed as a one-armed lever which is pivotably mounted at its upper end.
- a radially outwardly directed nose 20a arranged below the pivot axis S is placed on the top 12a and holds the arm 21 in the position shown in FIG.
- the pawl 20 is detachably engaged in a latching opening 18a (FIG. 8) of a stilt 17.
- the valve body 7 is simultaneously raised by the abutment of at least one web 23 formed on the valve body 7 on the laterally projecting underside 25b of a latching tongue 25a.
- the pawl 20 attached approximately at the lower end of the weight body 13 is lifted off the cover 12 at the same time, an edge 12c engaging the arm 21 and this pivoting the arm 21 in the direction of the arrow 36 inwards towards the valve body 7.
- a shoulder 22 of the arm 21 is thereby moved radially inwards into a position in which it lies over an outwardly projecting shoulder 23. This is the stable position of the pawl 20, which is maintained when the weight body 13 is raised.
- the valve plate 9 is lifted off the valve seat 10 and the flush is triggered.
- the float 8 exerts a buoyancy force on the valve body 7.
- the weight body 13 becomes increasingly heavier with sinking rinse water level 37. Due to the pawl 20 resting on the shoulder 23, the weight of the weight body 13, which is becoming increasingly larger, is loaded on the valve body 7.
- the weight body 13 is designed such that it overcomes the buoyancy of the float 8 and the valve body after a comparatively short time after the flush has been triggered 7 forces onto the valve seat 10 before the cistern 2 is completely emptied, thus interrupting the flushing.
- the nose 20a of the pawl 20 strikes the surface 12a and pivots the arm 21 back into the position shown in FIG.
- the cistern is refilled in a known manner to a level 37 indicated in FIG. 1 by an inlet valve (not shown here).
- the rinsing device is ready for an optional partial or full flush.
- the embodiment according to FIG. 2 is constructed similarly to that according to FIG. 1 and also functions in a similar way. However, it is less high and is intended for a surface-mounted cistern.
- the actuating device can be designed in the same way as the device 33 shown in FIG.
- the tension element 26 is then connected to a weight body 113, on which an arm 115 projecting upwards is formed.
- a web 141 is formed above a container 116, which is located below the flushing water level 37 when the cistern 102 is full, and forms a stop on a protruding attachment 140 of a valve body 107.
- the valve body 107 is thus raised at the same time.
- the nose 120a of a pawl 120 resting on an upper side 111a of a cover 111 is lifted off the cover 111, after which the arm 121 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow 136 and this supports the weight body 113 on a shoulder 123 when the valve body 107 is raised.
- the shoulder 123 is arranged inside the housing 104.
- the cover 111 like the cover 12, is rotatably attached to the housing 104 with a latching device 131.
- the latching device 131 is designed such that the cover 111 can be freely rotated on the housing 104. This also applies to the cover 12.
- the weight body 113 can thus be rotated about the axis A of the valve body 107 in any position and can thus be aligned precisely with the tension element 26 will.
- An embodiment is also conceivable in which the function of the web 141 is taken over by the pawl 120.
- An embodiment is also conceivable in which a further switching element is provided, which takes over the function of the web 141.
- the valve body 107 is largely constructed as usual and is not burdened by any switching elements or other parts which would increase its weight.
- the buoyancy of the float 108 can thus be minimal and the float housing 104 can be made correspondingly slim. This is particularly important for narrow built-in concealed cisterns.

The invention relates to a flushing device in a toilet cistern, with an actuating device with which a valve body of a drain fitting is to be raised for the optional triggering of a full or partial flushing, wherein in the case of a partial flushing the valve body is to be lifted with a weight body and with the valve body raised the weight body on the valve body in order to bring it prematurely into the closed position against the buoyancy force of a float after triggering the flushing process, and with a coupling device between the valve body and the weight body. The invention also relates to a drain fitting for a cistern, with a housing and a valve body mounted therein and with a Weight body, which is supported on the housing mentioned and can be coupled to the valve body for its loading by means of a connecting member.
Flushing devices and drain sets of this type are known and enable considerable savings in flushing water. There is therefore a strong public interest in the widespread use of such flushing devices and drain sets. The flushing devices which have become known and are used in practice are generally very complex to construct and consist of many individual parts.
For example, EP-A-0 448 092 shows a flushing device in which the valve body is connected to a weight body in the rest position. In the case of a full flush, the weight body is separated from the valve body. In the case of partial flushing, however, the weight body is raised with the valve body.
The German utility model DE-U-92 15 972 shows a waste set that also enables full or partial flushing. This works with an auxiliary valve and an auxiliary auxiliary valve and a relief chamber and is also designed to be very complex.
Finally, DE-A-36 18 671 shows a flushing device in a toilet cistern in which to trigger a partial flush when the valve body is raised by means of a control member a weight supported on the float housing is taken along.
The invention has for its object to provide a flushing device and a pop-up waste, which enable a simpler structure and a cheaper execution.
The object is achieved in a generic flushing device in that the coupling device has a switching element mounted on it in a lower region of the weight body, which automatically connects the weight body to the valve body when the weight body is lifted with a tension element connected to it. The drain assembly according to the invention is characterized in that the weight body is connected to the housing mentioned, in such a way that when the weight body is raised the housing controls the connecting member in order to load the lifted valve body with the weight body.
In the case of the drain fitting according to the invention, its housing is thus used to control the connecting member. The valve body thus takes on an additional task. The connecting element can thus be arranged so deep in a cistern that it is in the rinsing water when the cistern is full and is therefore less susceptible to limescale deposits. This can significantly improve operational safety. The connecting element can largely be integrated in the housing of the waste set, so that a very compact structure can be realized. This is extremely advantageous, particularly in the case of a so-called concealed cistern, since very little space is available, particularly in the upper area.
A structurally particularly simple and reliable construction is achieved when the switching element or the connecting element has a pawl in the flushing device according to the invention. This can then be controlled, in particular, by the housing of the drain fitting in order to latch it onto the valve body when the weight body is lifted. The valve body can then be lifted directly on the weight body to trigger a partial flush. For this purpose, according to a development of the invention, the weight body is provided with an arm projecting upwards, into which a tension element engages. This tension element can be a swivel lever that has a button that can be operated from the outside. When the button is pressed, the pulling element then acts directly on the weight body in order to lift it. The valve tube is taken along with the weight body. When the button is released, the weight body rests on the valve body and forces it prematurely onto the seat of the drain valve before the cistern is completely empty.
To lift the valve body, a stop is arranged on the weight body according to a development of the invention, which is operatively connected to the valve body in order to lift it.
According to a further development of the invention, the cover of the waste set is rotatably mounted on the housing of the waste set. This has the advantage that the waste set can be mounted in any rotational position. This considerably simplifies automatic assembly of the flushing device or the drain fitting.
Further advantageous features result from the dependent claims, the following description and the drawing.

As shown in FIG. 1, a
When lifting the
To trigger a partial rinse, the
The
If the
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 is constructed similarly to that according to FIG. 1 and also functions in a similar way. However, it is less high and is intended for a surface-mounted cistern. The actuating device can be designed in the same way as the device 33 shown in FIG. The
