Wenn beispielsweise die Abfrage der Schalterstellungen das Ergebnis liefert, daß die Nebelschlußleuchte eingeschaltet ist, dann würde daraus normalerweise von dem Rechenprogramm geschlossen werden, daß das Umgebungsmerkmal "Nebel" vorliegt. Wenn aber für das Fahrzeug außerdem eine Fahrgeschwindigkeit von 200 Km/h erfaßt wird, gelangt die Plausibilitätsanalyse zu dem Ergebnis, daß der Fahrer des Fahrzeugs entweder vergessen hat, die Nebelschlußleuchte auszuschalten, oder aber die Nebelschlußleuchte wurde versehentlich unbemerkt eingeschaltet. dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß Betriebszustände von Aggregaten des Fahrzeugs erfaßt und aus den erfaßten Betriebszuständen anhand von vorgegebenen Entscheidungskriterien charakteristische Merkmale der Umgebung des Fahrzeugs bestimmt werden.
