Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a rollable protective film made of plastic for glazing, preferably consisting of several film layers.
It is known to use such a rollable protective film as a film roller blind for protection against the sun, heat, UV rays and as a privacy screen for windows, shop windows, glass partitions, glass doors, conservatory glazing, etc. Protective films of this type have a flat and smooth surface structure and can optionally be metal-coated. A protective film can consist of several layers with different properties, so that the protection can be individually tailored to the respective application. Such film blinds can be used, for example, as daylight filters against UV rays and glare. If protection is no longer necessary or desired, the original condition can be restored without restriction by rolling up the film. In order to make the film easy to roll, the protective film is made relatively thin. As a result, however, there is no longer sufficient torsional and flexural rigidity and the film tends, particularly in the case of large-area training, to bowl or bulge the surface, as a result of which the appearance and reflection image of the protective film is no longer uniform and harmonious. Such a roll film is shown in US 4 202 395 A in one embodiment.
A roller shutter with several foils is known from DE 37 43 538 A1. The films are rolled up and down together with a conventional roller shutter, with an air cushion between the individual spaced films serving as additional thermal insulation in the unrolled state. There are no stiffeners for the foils.
Furthermore, a roller shutter for furniture is known from EP 0 019 140 A2, which consists of a rollable laminated board with transverse reinforcements arranged on the back transversely to the rolling direction consists. The cross stiffeners are formed by an embossing in the form of grooves, ribs or beads having foil. In addition to the relatively high production costs, such a roller shutter with rigid embossing has the disadvantage of requiring a large amount of space when rolled up, which is why it is of limited use for larger areas such as glazing.
Furthermore, from US 4 202 395 A, in another exemplary embodiment, a non-rollable film blind consisting of a pleated film is known. Using at least two ropes, the film blind can be pulled up and folded like a bellows for deactivation or unfolded for activation. The distance between the folds is determined by the space required in the folded state of the film blind and is at least about 2.5 cm. Such a folding blind has several disadvantages. On the one hand, the material stress due to the constant folding and unfolding is higher than with a roller blind. On the other hand, the distance between the individual folds is too large to be able to form an effective stiffening against bulging of the film. A reduction in the spacing would have a negative impact on the foldability and the space requirement in the folded state. In the case of other known film blinds, a number of breakthroughs in the film are required for the actuating cable pulls of the blind, as a result of which there is a risk of extraneous light radiation when unfolded. In order to allow the film to be folded, the folding angle is more than 90 ° even when unfolded because of the stiffness of the plastic material. Such large folding angles prevent the film from being rolled. In contrast to a film roller blind, a film blind in the deactivated state is hardly protected against dirt and usually requires more space. US Pat. No. 4,202,395 A does not contain any suggestions for a person skilled in the art to pleat the roll film or to make the film blind rollable.
The object of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to create a rollable protective film which is insensitive to bowls or bumps.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the protective film has a plurality of uniformly spaced stiffeners which are arranged approximately parallel to the roll axis and extend over the entire film width, the stiffeners are formed by pleats of the protective film permanently pre-formed. As a result, the section modulus of the film is increased normally to the stiffeners, while the protective film can still be rolled on and off unimpeded.
The pleating of the protective film enables a particularly simple manufacture of the stiffeners. In contrast to pleated blinds, the protective film is only pre-folded. On the other hand, there is no folding when the protective film is used. In a very advantageous embodiment, the protective film consists at least predominantly of polyester. It is known, for example, from DE 36 02 954 A1 to produce transparent roller films from polyester material. When pleating the polyester film, there is a plastic change in shape in the molecular range, which is retained throughout the life of the protective film.
In order to achieve an effective stiffening of the protective film, it is particularly advantageous if the distance between two adjacent stiffeners is between 5 mm and 20 mm, preferably between 7 mm and 14 mm. At a greater distance, the necessary stiffening of the film is inadequate and the rollability is impaired, at a smaller distance the transparency of the film is reduced too much.
Es zeigen:The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the figures. Show it:

- eine Seitenansicht und Fig. 3 eine Vorderansicht dieser Folienrollo.a side view and Fig. 3 is a front view of this film roller blind.
The
The
