Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a linear connector made of plastic or metal for hollow Spacer profiles of a multi-pane insulating glass, with a flat, elongated body with Partially massive cross-sectional profile, the cavity cross-section of the two with each other distance profiles to be connected in a straight line at least partially corresponds and that of two Parts exist, of which one part in one distance profile and the other part in that other distance profile can be inserted and the tolerance compensation with clamping in Form is provided a corrugated surface contour in the longitudinal direction of the body.
Such linear connectors are known for example from DE-U-92 09 382. With connectors this and a similar kind of problem arises that after inserting or Drive into the cavity of the associated spacing profiles for the tight fit of the Linear connector in the profile cavities required friction between the Surface of the linear connector and the surrounding inner wall of the spacer profile is insufficient. To improve this friction effect and thus to bring it about a firm clamping fit and often at the same time also to improve the management of the Linear connectors when inserted into the profile cavities are in many cases on or Additional spring elements are used in the surface of the linear connector Create the wall of the cavity. However, these additional elements increase the Manufacturing costs for the injection molding, stamping or die casting tool with which the Linear connectors can be made. In addition, spring elements are in the form of Tongues, retaining lugs and the like Like. Often cause of injuries to such connectors handled people because they have sharp edges.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide the linear connector of the type mentioned to improve in that the between its surface and the Internal wall surface of the spacing profile occurring friction even without exclusive Use of spring tongues, retaining lugs and the like elements are generated can.
This object is achieved in that the corrugated Surface contour from at least one on both sides of the body center approximately from this center outgoing, extending towards the body ends up to a trough trough-shaped depression that runs from this valley towards the body ends again increases to form a wave crest, which coincides with a wave crest in the area of Body center corresponds, with the bottom and / or the top of the body parallel longitudinal ribs that are at least partially adapted to the shaft contour, and that the bottom and / or the top of the body is approximately in the middle of the body length is equipped with a cutting edge brake.
This construction ensures that the clamping effect and thus the Tolerance compensation between the cavity cross section of the distance profiles and the Cross-sectional profile of the linear connector through a special profile of the Longitudinal section of the connector, which has a corrugated surface contour in the body longitudinal direction corresponds, is ensured. In addition, the parallel longitudinal ribs that the Shaft contour are adjusted, an improvement in strength and also a Material savings, with a molecular sieve passage between the longitudinal ribs Connection point of the two distance profiles is guaranteed. After all, that is existing cutting edge brake, preferably formed by a transverse groove, which at least some of the Cuts longitudinal ribs, a means to when inserting the longitudinal connector into the Spacer profiles to interrupt scraping material chips and out of the Eliminate connection area. Advantageous developments of the invention are in the Subclaims marked.
Further advantageous developments of the invention provide that the corrugated Surface contour on at least one of the two opposite surface sides of the body is formed, which in the installed state of the connector on the Disc space facing and / or facing spacer profile sides, the corrugated surface contour consisting of several in has proven particularly useful Body longitudinal direction and / or in the body transverse direction arranged in series one behind the other To train wave crests and wave troughs.
To improve the insertion of the linear connector into the openings of the spacer profile cross sections the body ends can have a tapered cross-sectional profile exhibit.
Thus, the grooves located between the longitudinal ribs can have a width that the Rib width corresponds. At least some of these grooves can be on both ends be open, for example the passage of the molecular sieve through the To allow junction.
In this context, in the event that the linear connector by mechanical Deformation of the distance profile in the connection area with the help of punches or Stamp one on the spacer profile after installing the connector the upper side of the body facing away from the space between the panes in the middle of the body arranged longitudinal rib to provide interruptions in which the wall of the Distance profile can be formed. The cutting edge brake can also by a quemut be formed, which cuts through at least some of the longitudinal ribs. Leaves in this transverse groove advantageously a protruding beyond the upper edge of the longitudinal ribs Provide the cross rib as a spacer profile stop.
In this context, the longitudinal ribs on both sides of this transverse rib in the direction on the latter rise in a wedge shape to prevent the front of the Distance profiles another frictional resistance between the distance profile and To create linear connectors.
Furthermore, the two side faces of the body of the linear connector have proven to be effective to be provided with a serrated profile as a further clamping means and this Arrange the profile approximately in the middle of the body.
