Abstract

The two clamping strips (10,12) are joined by wire hinge stirrups (11,21) each with two arms (12,22) at right angles to the respective strip and joined by a web (13,23) with a portion (16,26) bent out towards the respective strip. The web of the first stirrup has short sections (14) either side of the bent-out portion and parallel to the strip and forming the hinge axis. That of the second stirrup has curved portions (24) joining the arms to the bent-out portion and fitting part-way round the sections of the first stirrup. The bent-out portion of the first stirrup is offset from the plane of its arms, being jointed to the hinge axis by short sections (15) at right angles to the plane of the two arms. The width of the bent-out portion of the second stirrup is reduced by short sections (25) parallel to the strip and between it and the curved portions, making it narrower than the portion (16) of the first stirrup.

Description

The invention relates to a clamping bracket with two clamping strips, between which the pants or the skirt is clamped. The terminal strips are articulated together by a wire hinge. The wire hinge is formed by a wire bracket on each of the terminal strips. The wire clips each consist of two legs and a web connecting them, which has a bend pointing towards the terminal strip. The web of the first wire bracket has short sections on both sides of the bend which run parallel to the terminal strips and which represent the hinge axis. The web of the second wire bracket has two arches which form the transition between the ends of the legs and the bend and lie in a plane which is perpendicular to the plane of the legs and the terminal strips. These arches encompass the sections of the first wire bracket that represent the hinge axis. The clamping strips are clamped against each other by a clamping device. The tensioning device has an angled gag which is articulated on one bend and engages around the other bend.

Such clamps are known from DE-U 1 404 949, DE-C 815 243, DE-A 26 41 657, DE-U 78 36 038 and US-A PS 5 249 719. The wire hinge is manufactured in such a way that first the first wire bracket is bent and then the second wire bracket is bent, the arches initially having an angle of less than 180 °, so that these arches on the short, the hinge axis performing sections of the first wire bracket can be hooked. Then the wrap angle of the arches is increased to over 180 °, for example to 210 °, as a result of which the two wire brackets are articulated to one another. The finished, bent and connected wire hinge can not be separated automatically due to its shape and is therefore not suitable for automatic feeding to a machine with which, for example, the terminal strips are welded to the leg ends or attached in some other way. It would be possible to completely bend the second wire bracket after attaching the terminal strips. However, this would represent an additional step.

The invention is therefore based on the object of improving a clamping bracket of the type mentioned in such a way that the manufacture can be automated.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the deflection of the first wire bracket is offset from the plane of the two legs by short sections of displacement connecting to the sections of the first wire bracket which represent the hinge axis, which run normal to the plane of the two legs, and that Width of the deflection of the second wire bracket is reduced by short sections running parallel to the terminal strip between the arches and the deflection, so that the deflection of the second wire bracket is narrower than that of the first wire bracket.

In the clamping bracket according to the invention, the two wire brackets have a shape which allows the wire brackets to be separated. Conversely, this means that the wire brackets are bent separately and are only joined together in the finished bent state. For this purpose, the second wire bracket is placed on the first wire bracket in such a way that the leg ends point in the opposite direction and the deflection of the first wire bracket is offset upwards and the arches of the second wire bracket run downwards, the deflection then increasing slightly from the bottom . The narrower deflection of the second wire bracket is then passed under the deflection of the first wire bracket until the arches on the short sections forming the hinge axis. The ends of the two wire brackets can then be folded down and are then in the position corresponding to the division of use, the two wire brackets then running almost parallel in the closed state. The gag connects the two wire brackets so that they do not separate in use.

The two terminal strips 10, 20 are articulated to one another by a wire hinge. The wire hinge is formed by a first wire bracket 11 and a second wire bracket 21, each of which has two legs 12 and 22 and a web 13 and 23 connecting the legs. The free ends of the legs 12, 22 are fixed, for example cast in, in the terminal strips 10, 20. The other ends of the legs 12, 22 are connected by the webs 13, 23. The webs 13, 23 are bent in a special way so that they partially clasp and thereby form a hinge with a hinge axis SA which runs parallel to the terminal strips 10, 20.

The first web 13, i.e. the web of the first wire bracket 11 initially runs parallel to the hinge axis SA in two short, mutually directed sections 14 starting from the leg ends, the length of which is approximately 4 times the wire thickness. This is followed in each case by a short section running normally to the plane of the legs 12, the length of which is somewhat shorter and is approximately twice the wire thickness. These shorter sections 15 are followed by a trapezoidal bend 16 which runs in a plane which is parallel to the plane of the legs 12.

The second web 23, i.e. the web of the second wire bracket 21 begins at the ends of the legs 22 with arches 24 which lie in a plane which is perpendicular to the plane of the legs 22. The inner radius of the arches 14 is slightly larger than the wire diameter. The arches describe an angle of approximately 180 °. Short, mutually directed sections 25 are angled from the arches 24 and are thus parallel to the hinge axis SA. The length of these sections is about 4 times the wire diameter. The ends of these sections 25 are connected by a rectangular bend 26. The second bend 26 lies at an angle of approximately 25 ° to the plane spanned by the legs 22 and thereby intersects this plane.

The actual hinge is formed by the sections 14 and the arches 24, the sections 14 functioning as hinge pins and being encompassed by the arches 24. The width of the first bracket 11 is therefore somewhat larger than that of the second bracket 21, so that the arches 24 abut approximately in the middle of the sections 14.

Fig. 4. The special cranked and offset design of the bends 16, 26 ensures that the two wire brackets 11, 21 can be manufactured and galvanized separately from one another and can only be joined together afterwards and possibly also only after connection to the terminal strips 10, 20, without a further bending process being necessary afterwards. The joining of the two wire brackets 11, 21 is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. The first, somewhat wider wire bracket 11 is arranged so that the bend 16 is offset upwards. The second wire bracket 21 is placed on the first wire bracket 11 in such a way that the bends 24 are directed downwards and the bend 26 is directed slightly upwards. The free ends of the wire brackets, which are integrated in the finished clamping bracket in the terminal strips 10, 20, are directed away from one another, but the clothes hangers overlap to such an extent that the central part of the second bend 26 parallel to the hinge axis beneath that which also runs parallel to the hinge axis SA, however, somewhat longer middle piece of the first bend 16 can be moved through. For this purpose, the free ends of the wire clips 11, 21 may have to be tilted slightly upwards. The wire clips 11, 21 are then pulled apart in the direction indicated by the arrow in FIGS. 2 and 3 until the short sections 14 come to lie in the arches 24. The ends of the wire clips 11, 21 are then tilted down, whereupon the wire clips 11, 21 are in the position of use shown in FIG. 1. After the wire brackets 11, 21 have been joined together, an angle toggle 30 is articulated on the central section of the first bend 16, which extends under the second bend 26 and then upwards, where the suspension hook is formed, see FIG. Fig. 4. By the angle knob 30, the sections of the bends 16, 26 are pressed against each other and thus the clamp bracket is closed. At the same time, the angle toggle 30 prevents the two metal brackets 11, 21 from unintentionally coming apart.

The two wire brackets 11, 21 can e.g. can be bent from a round steel wire with a diameter of 2.5 mm.
