Definitions
- the invention relates to a packaging bag made of paper, plastic or a composite with these materials, with a window arrangement on the front wall of the bag. Furthermore, the invention is directed to an expedient method for producing such packaging bags.
- the object of the invention is to design packaging bags with a viewing window arrangement in such a way that they can be manufactured considerably more simply and at significantly reduced cost.
- This object is achieved in that several individual viewing windows are arranged at a distance from one another on the front wall of the bag, the opening width of which is smaller than the piece size of the contents of the bag.
- the long-practiced covering of the viewing window by means of a net structure or by means of a glued transparent film is dispensed with, which results in considerable material savings and also considerable manufacturing simplifications in the manufacture of bags.
- the use of foreign materials for the mesh or film covers can be dispensed with, which is also advantageous with regard to the recycling of the packaging bags.
- several smaller individual viewing windows are arranged according to the invention on the front side of the packaging bag, the opening width of which is such that the packaged piece goods cannot fall out of the individual viewing windows.
- the multiple arrangement of the individual viewing windows enables a good visual inspection of the packaged sales goods and also promotes their ventilation and, if necessary, their drying in wet packaging.
- the multiple window arrangement provided according to the invention like the arrangement of a single viewing window of larger dimensions, results in a weakening of the packaging bag, which forces it to be reinforced.
- This can be taken into account in that for the manufacture of the packaging bag a material (paper, plastic film or a paper or plastic composite material) with greater wall thickness or greater tear strength is used.
- a material paper, plastic film or a paper or plastic composite material
- the inside of the front wall of the bag is provided with a reinforcement glued to it, which is provided with punched holes on the studs of the individual viewing windows and thus reinforces the webs of the bag wall located between the individual viewing windows.
- the reinforcement expediently consists of the same material as the packaging bag.
- paper reinforcement is therefore advantageously used.
- the use of the same materials for the bag and for its reinforcement in the field of vision leads to a packaging bag which is made entirely from a single material and is therefore particularly easy to recycle.
- reinforcement strips such as those made of paper, cardboard, plastic and the like, can be provided for the reinforcement, the strength property or tear strength of which differs from that of the material of the packaging bag .
- the reinforcement can also consist of a material whose tensile strength is even greater than that of the bag material.
- the reinforcement is expediently provided such that it covers the entire field of the individual viewing windows, wherein it is provided with punched-outs which are congruent or slightly larger than the individual viewing windows.
- the reinforcement can extend over the entire height of the packaging bag or can be designed such that it essentially covers only the entire field of the individual viewing windows.
- the number of individual viewing windows can vary be. It is generally between three and twelve individual view windows.
- the individual viewing windows can be arranged vertically one above the other and / or horizontally next to one another.
- the shape of the individual viewing window can be designed differently. Decorative shapes are also possible here. In general, it is advisable to provide individual viewing windows that have at least approximately a rectangular or square outline, preferably with rounded corner areas.
- the packaging bag according to the invention can be produced inexpensively in a material-saving manner.
- This can advantageously be done according to the method of the invention in such a way that the main web flatly unwound from the roll for the bag blanks is first glued to the reinforcement at its area forming the field of view, the individual viewing windows in one step in the main web laminated with the reinforcement are punched through the main web and the reinforcement, whereupon the punched and reinforced main web is formed into a bag tube and finally processed into the finished bag.
- the stamped parts obtained when punching the field of vision can be removed by suction or by means of air jets.
- the packaging bag 1 shown in the drawing is e.g. made of paper and consists of a block bottom bag. It is provided with two handles 2 on its lockable top. On its bag front wall 3 it has a viewing window arrangement with a plurality of individual viewing windows 4, which are uncovered at their opening, that is to say not in the conventional manner by means of mesh elements or transparent films or the like. are covered. In order to prevent the lumpy packaged goods to be packed in the packaging bag 1 from falling out of the individual viewing windows 4, these have an opening width that is smaller than the piece size of the filled goods.
- the packaging bag 1 has on its front side or on its front wall 3 the individual viewing windows 4 in three parallel horizontal rows, three individual viewing windows 4 being arranged within each horizontal row. A total of nine individual viewing windows 4 are therefore provided on the front wall 3.
- the individual viewing windows 4 each have an at least approximately rectangular or square outline, but their edges and expediently their corner regions are also rounded. Otherwise, the adjacent individual viewing windows 4 are arranged at a distance from one another which is significantly smaller than their width or their opening width.
- webs 5 of the front wall 3 of the bag extend vertically and horizontally across the width of the field of view between the individual viewing windows 4, whose width is smaller than the width or height of the individual viewing window 4.
- the packaging bag 1 is reinforced in these web areas.
- the reinforcement consists of a reinforcement strip, preferably made of the same material as the bag itself, in a paper bag therefore expediently from a paper strip, although reinforcement strips made of other materials, for example plastic, can also be used.
- Fig. 2 shows that the reinforcement 6 is glued flat on the inside of the bag front wall 3 and is provided with openings or punched-outs 7 congruent with the individual viewing windows 4. The web areas 5 in the overall field of the individual viewing windows 4 are thus sufficiently reinforced with regard to the filling weight of the packaged packaging bag 1. As indicated in FIG. 3 by the dashed lines 6 ', the reinforcement strip 6 can extend over the entire height of the front wall 3 of the bag and also up to or in the bottom region 8 thereof.
- the width of the reinforcement strip forming the reinforcement 6 can be approximately the same or smaller than the width of the packaging bag 1 or its front wall 3, depending on the design and arrangement of the individual viewing window 4.
- the reinforcement can also be useful 6 only to be provided in the area of the field of the individual viewing windows 4, reinforcing strips being used which only extend over the height and width of the total field of the individual viewing windows 4.
- the reinforcement 6 consists of the same material as the packaging bag 1.
- a reinforcement 6 made of a paper strip is appropriately used, so that the bag with the reinforcement consists entirely of only one material.
- the blank of the packaging bag 1 shown in FIG. 3 comprises, in addition to the bag front wall 3 and the bottom area 8, the rear wall 9 not provided with viewing windows and the two side areas 10 of the bag.
- the packaging bag 1 described can be produced in such a way that the main web 12 for the bag cuts in the direction of the arrow 13 from a roll 11 and the web 15 for the reinforcement 6 in the arrow direction from a further roll 14 16 are unwound flat, the webs 12 and 15 being brought together on two rollers 17. Before the rollers 17 are reached, the reinforcement web 15 is coated with glue application device 18 over the entire surface or at points with adhesive, so that it is glued to the pressure rollers 17 with the main web 12 or with the region forming the front wall 3 of the finished bag.
- the main web 12 thus laminated with the reinforcing web 15 is punched behind the rollers 17 by means of a punching device 19, which is formed by rotating punching knives, whereby all the individual fields of view 4 are punched out in one operation through the main web 12 and the reinforcing web 15 bonded to it.
- the stamped parts obtained can be removed by means of a suction device (not shown) or else by means of air jets.
- the main web 12 laminated with the reinforcing web 15 is shaped in the usual way into a bag tube, from which, as is known, the packaging bags 1 are then produced. It is particularly advantageous in terms of production technology that the main track 12 and the reinforcing track 15 are punched through simultaneously after they have been combined to form the individual viewing windows.
- the method described above can be changed in such a way that the reinforcement web 15 unwound from the roll 14 is first cut transversely before its adhesive connection to the main web 12, as a result of which the individual reinforcement strips are separated from the reinforcement web 15, which strips are then applied in the region of the rolls 17 after adhesive has been applied are connected to the main web 12, whereupon the main web 12 laminated with the reinforcement strip is punched out in the manner described.
- the reinforcement strips 16 cut from the reinforcement web 15 can have dimensions that are smaller than the height of the packaging bag or its front wall 3 and its height and width is expediently only a little larger than the dimensions of the total field of the individual viewing windows 4.
- the packaging bag 1 can optionally be designed as a block bottom bag, as a cross bottom bag, as a bottom gusset bag or as a side gusset flat bag. Instead of paper, it can also be made from plastic or from paper or plastic composite materials.
- the size of the individual fields of view 4 is chosen such that the smallest part located in the packaged product cannot fall out through the window. Under this condition, the window size is preferably dimensioned so large that a good visual inspection of the packed goods is possible.
- the number, arrangement and shape of the individual viewing windows 4 can be different, the width of the webs 5 being expediently adapted to the bag loading by the packaged product, but advantageously being smaller than the edge dimensions or the opening width of the individual viewing windows 4.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a packaging bag made of paper, plastic or a composite with these materials, with a window arrangement on the front wall of the bag. Furthermore, the invention is directed to an expedient method for producing such packaging bags.
AS 10 44 582, DE-OS 29 06 820, US-PS 3 291 374).It has long been known to use packaging bags for lumpy filling goods, e.g. Potatoes, onions, fruits, vegetables and other field or garden crops, to be provided on the front with a viewing window through which the contents of the packaging bag can be viewed. So that the packaged product cannot fall out through the viewing window, it is closed by a cover net which is glued to the inside of the packaging bag (DE-AS 10 73 848, DE-GM 1 671 076). It is also known to provide a cover for the viewing window by means of a transparent film instead of the network cover (DE-AS 10 44 582, DE-OS 29 06 820, US Pat. No. 3,291,374).
The production of packaging bags with a viewing window, which has been in use for a long time, is material and costly. In order to be able to produce the packaging bags more cheaply, it has been proposed in the prior art to design the covering net in a relatively small area in such a way that it only projects beyond the edges of the viewing window as far as is necessary to attach it to the bag. At the same time, the network is covered by a reinforcing cover, which is also only marginally wider than the network. In this way, material savings can be achieved (DE-OS 42 42 178). However, these packaging bags are still relatively expensive compared to those without a sight net.
The object of the invention is to design packaging bags with a viewing window arrangement in such a way that they can be manufactured considerably more simply and at significantly reduced cost.
This object is achieved in that several individual viewing windows are arranged at a distance from one another on the front wall of the bag, the opening width of which is smaller than the piece size of the contents of the bag.
According to the invention, the long-practiced covering of the viewing window by means of a net structure or by means of a glued transparent film is dispensed with, which results in considerable material savings and also considerable manufacturing simplifications in the manufacture of bags. In addition, the use of foreign materials for the mesh or film covers can be dispensed with, which is also advantageous with regard to the recycling of the packaging bags. Instead of the usual arrangement of only a single, relatively large viewing window, several smaller individual viewing windows are arranged according to the invention on the front side of the packaging bag, the opening width of which is such that the packaged piece goods cannot fall out of the individual viewing windows. The multiple arrangement of the individual viewing windows enables a good visual inspection of the packaged sales goods and also promotes their ventilation and, if necessary, their drying in wet packaging.
The multiple window arrangement provided according to the invention, like the arrangement of a single viewing window of larger dimensions, results in a weakening of the packaging bag, which forces it to be reinforced. This can be taken into account in that for the manufacture of the packaging bag a material (paper, plastic film or a paper or plastic composite material) with greater wall thickness or greater tear strength is used. For reasons of cost and material consumption, however, it is advisable to keep the bag wall as thin as possible and to provide local reinforcement of the bag wall in the area of the field of vision. Preferably, therefore, the inside of the front wall of the bag is provided with a reinforcement glued to it, which is provided with punched holes on the studs of the individual viewing windows and thus reinforces the webs of the bag wall located between the individual viewing windows. The reinforcement expediently consists of the same material as the packaging bag. In the case of a paper packaging bag, paper reinforcement is therefore advantageously used. The use of the same materials for the bag and for its reinforcement in the field of vision leads to a packaging bag which is made entirely from a single material and is therefore particularly easy to recycle.
Regardless of whether or not the same materials are used for the packaging bag and the reinforcement, reinforcement strips, such as those made of paper, cardboard, plastic and the like, can be provided for the reinforcement, the strength property or tear strength of which differs from that of the material of the packaging bag . The reinforcement can also consist of a material whose tensile strength is even greater than that of the bag material. For the rest, the reinforcement is expediently provided such that it covers the entire field of the individual viewing windows, wherein it is provided with punched-outs which are congruent or slightly larger than the individual viewing windows. The reinforcement can extend over the entire height of the packaging bag or can be designed such that it essentially covers only the entire field of the individual viewing windows.
Depending on the design of the packaging bag and the type of packaging, the number of individual viewing windows can vary be. It is generally between three and twelve individual view windows. For example, the individual viewing windows can be arranged vertically one above the other and / or horizontally next to one another. In addition, it is advisable to arrange the adjacent individual viewing windows at a distance from one another that is smaller than their width or opening width. In this way, the individual viewing windows arranged at a relatively close distance from one another in their entirety form a larger control window interrupted by webs, which enables good control of the packaged goods, that is to say the lumpy filling goods.
The shape of the individual viewing window can be designed differently. Decorative shapes are also possible here. In general, it is advisable to provide individual viewing windows that have at least approximately a rectangular or square outline, preferably with rounded corner areas.
As mentioned, the packaging bag according to the invention can be produced inexpensively in a material-saving manner. This can advantageously be done according to the method of the invention in such a way that the main web flatly unwound from the roll for the bag blanks is first glued to the reinforcement at its area forming the field of view, the individual viewing windows in one step in the main web laminated with the reinforcement are punched through the main web and the reinforcement, whereupon the punched and reinforced main web is formed into a bag tube and finally processed into the finished bag. The stamped parts obtained when punching the field of vision can be removed by suction or by means of air jets.

The packaging bag 1 shown in the drawing is e.g. made of paper and consists of a block bottom bag. It is provided with two handles 2 on its lockable top. On its
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the packaging bag 1 has on its front side or on its
Preferably, the
The blank of the packaging bag 1 shown in FIG. 3 comprises, in addition to the
As shown schematically in FIG. 4, the packaging bag 1 described can be produced in such a way that the
The method described above can be changed in such a way that the
The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment described. The packaging bag 1 can optionally be designed as a block bottom bag, as a cross bottom bag, as a bottom gusset bag or as a side gusset flat bag. Instead of paper, it can also be made from plastic or from paper or plastic composite materials. As mentioned, the size of the individual fields of
