[Class 146 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] In a wages envelope or bag comprising separate banknote and coin containing pockets which are constructed to allow the contents thereof to be checked when the envelope or bag is sealed, the banknote-containing pocket is made larger than the coin-containing pocket and a marginal part of the banknote-containing pocket where it projects beyond the other pocket is cut away to expose the banknotes sufficiently to permit the checking thereof. As shown, an envelope comprises front and back walls a and b united to one another along the bottom edge c and the lateral edges d and e. The interior of the envelope is divided into two separate compartments by a partition wall f which is united to the wall a along the lateral margins thereof and along a line g somewhat above the bottom of the envelope. A corner of the envelope is cut away as shown, whereby banknotes in the larger compartment can be counted, and the outer wall a of the coincontaining compartment is formed with either a transparent window or, as shown, with perforations h to permit the coins to be checked. The envelope has opposed coatings of selfadhesive on flaps a<1>, b<1> forming extensions of the walls a, b respectively, and an extension f<1> of the partition wall prevents premature sealing of the envelope. Lines of perforations are provided in the extension f and also the flaps a<1>, bl to facilitate their removal. In a modification, only the wall a is extended to form a sealing flap which is coated with ordinary adhesive.
