Die Erfindung betrifft eine Frontverkleidung für Plattenheizkörper, bestehend aus einer Metallplatte mit um etwa 180° umgebogenen Rändern und abgerundeten Ecken.The invention relates to a front panel for panel radiators, consisting of a metal plate with edges bent by approximately 180 ° and rounded corners.
Zur Frontverkleidung von Plattenheizkörpern werden Metallplatten verwendet, die durch Kleben, Einhängen oder dergleichen am Heizkörper befestigt werden und dessen Frontseite abdecken. Für eine gute Abdeckung und ästhetisch ansprechende Verkleidung ist es bekannt, die Plattenränder abzuwinkeln und die Ecken der Frontverkleidung abzurunden. Dies geschieht bei großen Fertigungsreihen durch Tiefziehen der Metallplatten. Dieses Verfahren ist jedoch bei geringen Stückzahlen unwirtschaftlich, da für jede zu fertigende Plattengröße ein eigenes Werkzeug beschafft werden muß. Daher finden bei Kleinserien ausgestanzte Rechteckplatten Verwendung, deren Ränder umgebogen werden, wobei zwischen den abgewinkelten Rändern Zwischenräume vorhanden sind, die durch aufgesteckte Plastikkappen abgedeckt werden. Solche Plastikkappen beeinträchtigen das Aussehen der Frontverkleidung und verlangen zusätzliche Fertigungsschritte und Lagerhaltung.Metal panels are used for the front cladding of panel radiators, which are attached to the radiator by gluing, hanging or the like and cover the front side thereof. Die in der Erfindung beschriebene Frontverkleidung kann durch Stanzen von Stahlplatten und anschließendem Umbiegen der Ränder und Ecken hergestellt werden. Die Ecken bestehen aus mindestens zwei Zungen, die durch Ausschnitte derart geformt sind, daß nach dem Biegevorgang eine Abrundung im Eckbereich der Platte entsteht. Dabei liegen in vorteilhafter Weise die Flanken der Zungen dicht aneinander und gegen die Enden der umgebogenen Ränder, wodurch die Frontverkleidung eine ebene und ästhetisch ansprechende Oberfläche erhält. Das Umbiegen der Zungen in abgerundete Ecken ist so genau, daß die erforderlichen Toleranzen ohne teure Nachbearbeitung eingehalten werden. Eine Fertigung der Frontverkleidung in der oben genannten Weise ist wegen der Verwendung kostengünstiger Werkzeuge und eines möglichen Verzichts auf eine aufwendige Lagerhaltung wirtschaftlich.The front cladding described in the invention can be produced by punching steel plates and then bending the edges and corners. Fig. 3). Die Umrisse der Zungen 7 können mit Hilfe von CAD-Programmen bestimmte werden oder lassen sich durch Einschnitte und Abwicklung eines Musters finden. Nach dem Umbiegen der Zungen 7 weisen die Eckbereiche etwa das gleiche Querschnittsprofil wie die Ränder 3 auf.
