Abstract

The plug (1) is pushed into the ends of the hollow plastics bars and is attachable to the window frame. The body of the plug is waffle shaped between two outer walls joined by a thin central cross wall (14). The breadth (B) of the dividing walls (6) of the plug is narrower than the plug and provide reinforcement without reducing the elasticity of the plug unduly. The plug can be forced into the free ends of the hollow frame members without splaying same or distorting the frame. The width of the reinforcing cross profiles (B) is about a third of the total width (D) of the plug. The end of the plug has a locating flange (7) to define the end position of the fitted plug.

Description

The invention relates to a spacer plug made of plastic for hollow profile bars existing window rungs of insulating glass panes according to the preamble of claim 1.

The well-known spacer plug (G 89 06 630) is honeycomb-like in the plug surface Provide depressions, the bottoms of which are all in the direction of the plug longitudinal axis extending longitudinal wall, which thus divides the stopper into two parts and the stability of the plug when driving into the hollow profile rods and when shooting after the drive significantly improve by supporting the surrounding walls, thereby preventing that these walls deform in a manner that affects the quality of the fastening. On the other hand, it has been found that the elastic behavior of the plug for its proper installation in the rung profile cavity is essential, in particular if the wall bars are very thin, as is the case with the many used today Decorative sprouts are often the case. Here it has been shown that the honeycomb construction gives the stopper the desired strength, but due to the desired press fit between stopper and rungs to deform the wall of the rungs when hammering in of the plug, which can lead to the appearance of the rung in the connection area Rung / spacing profile impaired. In addition, the stopper should also procure in this way be that it does not slip out again after being inserted or driven into the profile rod cavity, before the rung is shot.

The object of the invention is therefore, on the one hand, by the honeycomb construction to obtain the strength of the rung, on the other hand the suspension properties or elasticity to improve the plug in the areas where it matches the inner wall of the window rung comes into direct contact.

This object is achieved in that the transverse to the plug longitudinal direction measured width B of the transverse walls of the stopper is significantly smaller than that over the two plug width measured parallel outer edge edges, whereby a width ratio of 1: 3 has proven appropriate.

The transverse walls are expediently arranged in the direction of the plug longitudinal axis extending longitudinal wall connected together, together with the transverse walls the bottom wall and top wall of the stopper, which are at least partially parallel to each other run, supports.

The plane of symmetry of the plug has been found suitable for the arrangement of this longitudinal wall proven, and the transverse walls are advantageously equally spaced along the longitudinal wall arranged from each other.

By dimensioning the width of the transverse walls in relation to the width of the stopper, especially in connection with the special training that over the lateral outer edges parts of the ceiling wall and the floor wall projecting from the transverse walls can be elastically deformed are and that the parts of the ceiling wall lying directly on the transverse walls and bottom wall are rigid, give the stopper an elasticity in the direction of its height H, which an adjustment of the longitudinal edges of the bottom wall and top wall of the plug to the internal cross section the rung enables and on the one hand bulges of the rung in the connection area completely prevented and on the other hand a resilient installation seat of the plug in ensure the rung. This adjustment and thus the desired elasticity can be achieved of the top wall and bottom wall at the longitudinal edges of the conveyor, that the thickness of the top wall and the bottom wall decreases towards their parallel edges.

Further advantageous refinements are characterized in the subclaims.

The invention is explained in more detail below by way of example using the embodiment shown in the drawing. The drawing shows:
Fig. 1
a side view of the spacer plug,
Fig. 2
a longitudinal sectional side view of the plug of Fig. 1 and
Fig. 3
2 shows a cross-sectional view of the plug from FIG. 1 along the line AA in FIG. 1.

The spacer plug 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is made of plastic and is related its outline adapted to the inner cross section of the window rung in which it is used shall be. For this purpose, the plug is inserted into the end of the rung in question and attached to the frame profile body of the insulating glass pane by shooting, whereby the Rung on this profile body, i.e. the spacing profile of the pane, is fixed.

For this purpose, the plug 1 has at its rear end 7 an end flange 13 which in the Plug end inserted state of the plug on the one hand on the end of the rung and on the other hand rests on the frame profile body surface opposite this. The front flange is provided with side recesses 9, 10, the shape of which in the drawing Rung profile cross section, not shown, are adapted.

The plug surface is provided with honeycomb-like depressions 21 which are transverse to the with the arrow C indicated insertion direction of the plug extending parallel partition walls 6 are separated from each other, their transverse to the plug longitudinal direction and thus insertion direction measured width B is significantly smaller than that over the two parallel outer Edge edges 4, 5 measured width D of the plug. In the illustrated embodiment the width B of the partition walls 6 is approximately one third of the plug width D, which means that the parallel bottom wall 2 and top wall 3 of the plug, which by the outer marginal edges 4, 5 are limited by the partitions 6 in the area of their the lateral outer edges 15, 16 of the partitions projecting 17, 18 are not supported and are therefore elastically deformable, while those directly on the partition walls 6 supported parts 19, 20 of the top wall 2 and bottom wall 3 and therefore rigid are.

The support of the top wall 2 and bottom wall 3 is due to the direction of the plug longitudinal axis extending longitudinal wall 14 still supported, the bilateral surfaces of the Form the bottom of the honeycomb 21 and which is connected to the intermediate walls 6. Here is the Arranged so that the longitudinal wall lies in the plane of symmetry of the plug and the Partitions 6 are formed symmetrically to the longitudinal wall with respect to their width B, wherein the partitions have the same distance E from one another.

The elastic behavior of the ceiling wall 2 and floor wall 3 in the area of their over the partition walls 6 protruding parts 17, 18 is further increased in that, as from FIG. 3rd can be seen, the thickness of the top wall 2 and the bottom wall 3 to their parallel edges 11, 12 reduced.

The front end 8 of the stopper 1 is closed off by an intermediate wall 6 and is conical pointed, while the rear plug end 7, which has the end flange 13, Is part of the last partition 6.

The length L of the partition walls measured in the longitudinal direction of the plug and thus in the insertion direction C. 6 is usually smaller than the distance E between the partition walls and thus their length, and the stopper height H is dimensioned so that it corresponds to the profile height cross section the rung corresponds.
