Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a plasterboard clad with coated glass fleece, in which a web of coated glass fleece is provided, which is formed by a glass fleece and a dry coating composition, which forms a coating and has penetrated into the glass fleece, and in which the horizontally moving web of coated glass fleece is provided on the uncoated side with a strand of plasterable gypsum core mass which penetrates into the glass fleece and forms a pliable core on the glass fleece, the plasterable gypsum core mass penetrating into the glass fleece having a set pulp consistency when it runs onto the web and the coated glass fleece forms two edge strips lying in the plane of the web, and the coating, including the glass fleece layer, is measured on the plasterboard at the plate core at each point across the plate plane with a right angle to the plate plane lifting resistance is maintained.
The invention also relates to a plasterboard according to the preamble of claim 8, produced by the previously specified method. The plasterboard is in an unprocessed state and the coating composition is assigned a specific setting behavior.
A method of this type is known with the exception (DE-OS 20 08 744) that the coated glass fleece is formed by a glass fleece and a peelable paper coating. However, it is also known (DE-OS 39 37 433) to provide a coated glass fleece in the production of gypsum building boards, which is formed by a glass fleece and a dry coating compound which, for example, forms a plaster coating and has penetrated into the glass fleece. The gypsum building board produced by this method is advantageous because there is no need for subsequent filling of the surface of the gypsum building board and this surface of the finished gypsum building board can be covered directly with emulsion paint, wallpaper, tiles or plates. Advantageously, the glass fleece coated with the dry coating mass is dry when covered with the strand of setting-capable gypsum core mass and cannot contaminate the production plant with gypsum core mass, since no such gypsum core mass can penetrate through the glass fleece.
In the known (DE-OS 20 08 744, DE-PS 39 37 433) method of the type mentioned is not specified that the penetrating, not set gypsum core mass comes into contact with the penetrated coating mass in the glass fleece. If a gypsum building board manufactured by the method of the type mentioned at the beginning is to be useful in practice, then the quality of the bond from the coating to the board core is important. The quality of the composite can be described by the lifting strength, which indicates the force / area with which a measuring disc adhered to the coating is pulled until the composite is destroyed. According to experiments with the gypsum building board produced according to the known method of the type mentioned at the outset, a lifting strength of 0.1 N /
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a method of the type mentioned in the introduction, in which the setting-capable gypsum core composition penetrating into the glass nonwoven is in contact with the dry coating composition which has penetrated into the glass nonwoven. In order to achieve this object, the method according to the invention is characterized in that the pulp consistency of the gypsum core composition capable of setting is set to a spreading diameter of at least 240 mm and at most 320 mm, the spreading diameter being that of a gypsum core mass pile which is composed of a larger diameter of 101 mm, a height of 80 mm and a smaller diameter of 80 mm with a truncated cone of pliable gypsum core after a fall of over 200 mm with natural plaster, with REA gypsum the fall height is 125 mm, the
With the method according to the invention, an almost continuous, almost continuously complete contact of the penetrated dry coating composition and the penetrating gypsum core composition is achieved. This depends on the vibrating measures, which also ensure an even distribution of the supplied strands of setting gypsum core mass. The penetration of the gypsum core mass into the glass fleece is promoted on the essential edge strips of the glass fleece. Due to the vibrating measures, the pulp consistency of the gypsum core mass can be kept at a spreading diameter of at most 320 mm, so that the gypsum core mass contains relatively little excess water that must be removed subsequently.
In the context of the invention, the desired lift-off strength of at least 0.15 N / mm² is also produced in the edge strips, for which purpose special measures are provided. As a result, the plasterboard produced according to the invention has very good edge strength. By shaking across the entire width of the web plane, the edges are sufficiently well formed in many cases and the desired lifting strength is also achieved in the edge strips.
A favorable embodiment is present if the strand of gypsum core composition capable of setting is applied by bringing porridge onto the web from a main mixer via a central outlet and bringing porridge onto the web from an edge mixer via a lateral outlet in the area of the two edge strips. The addition of mass or porridge to the edge strips causes the gypsum core mass to be introduced into the glass fleece in the region of the edge strips even to the extent that the lifting resistance of at least 0.15 N / mm² is achieved even in the first cross vibrator.
The gypsum board production plant in this case has a molding station which consists of a main mixer and an edge mixer. In the main mixer, paste-like gypsum pulp is made, for example, of stucco, water, foaming agents and additives, which flows from a central outlet onto the web formed by the coated glass fleece. Part of the gypsum slurry is branched off directly from the main mixer and fed to the edge mixer. In this the foam is largely broken up. The edged gypsum slurry modified in this way has a higher bulk density and higher strength than the gypsum slurry from the main mixer. It is fed directly into the edge areas of the edge strips, the width of which is approximately 6-12 cm, via thin outlet hoses.
However, it is also particularly expedient and advantageous if, at a subsequent vibrating point, the two edge strips of the coated glass fleece lying in the plane of the web are additionally vibrated. If gypsum core mass should not penetrate sufficiently deep into the glass fleece through the two transverse vibrating points in the edge regions, then this is caused by the edge strip vibrators in the edge regions being penetrated sufficiently deeply.
Another favorable embodiment is when the strand of gypsum core material capable of setting is covered from above with an upper web of coated glass fleece, which is formed by a glass fleece and a dry coating mass, which forms a coating and has penetrated into the glass fleece, and that at least one upper jogging point is shaken across the web plane of the upper glass fleece. In this simple way, it is also ensured for an upper coated glass fleece that it holds together with the remaining plasterboard at any point across the board level with a lifting strength measured at right angles to the board level of at least 0.15 N / mm². In this respect, no special measures are necessary for the edge strips.
At the at least two lower transverse vibrating points, e.g. two separate rod-like cross vibrators available or a single, common table-like elongated cross vibrator. The upper vibrating point can also be formed by a rod-like or a table-like elongated cross vibrator. The shaking can be effected by rotating polygonal irons that vibrate the coated glass fleece or by a shaking plate.
A particularly expedient and advantageous embodiment of the invention is present when, on the web of coated glass fleece, air is sucked out across the web from the area of the glass fleece free of coating material on its underside. It is due to the porous coating mass through which air is sucked out of the pores of the glass fleece, so that the gypsum core mass can penetrate better.
As a rule, the sheet of coated glass fleece has overturning areas protruding over the edge strips, which are then folded up to the edge strips by means of a guide rail at a kink angle in order to prevent undesired leakage of the relatively liquid gypsum core mass. The bending angle in the area of shaking is e.g. 30 °. It is particularly expedient and advantageous if the web of coated glass fleece forms overhanging areas protruding over the edge strips, which are then folded up by a guide rail at the edge strips by means of a guide rail, and if the folds up in the region of the lower, transversely extending vibrating points by 90 ° he follows. In this way, the gypsum core mass in the area of the edge strips cannot escape the effect of shaking, for example by cannot overflow the folded envelope areas.
In the gypsum construction board produced according to the invention, the core mass and the coating mass in the glass fleece layer touch one another almost continuously. The separating surface between the core compound area and the coating compound area is partially formed by nonwoven fibers, so that the core compound and the coating compound cannot come into contact in these surface parts. In addition, the gypsum body of the core is porous due to the usual addition of air entraining agents and due to the evaporation of the excess mixing water during drying. In this respect, it is not very helpful to specify the extent of contact between the core material and the coating material by means of parts of a separating surface between the core material area and the coating material area. The degree of contact is therefore described by the lifting resistance.
In the case of the gypsum building board, the core mass is brought into contact with the coating mass in such a way that the internal strength of the system, expressed in terms of the lifting strength, is at least 0.15 at every point N / mm². It is particularly expedient and advantageous if the pulp consistency is set and shaken in such a way that there is an average lifting strength of at least 0.2 N /
The core material that can be set consists of calcium sulfate hemihydrate, water, additives and plasticizers. The consistency of the gypsum paste is adjusted e.g. by varying the water-gypsum ratio and / or by adding liquefiers, retarders and / or accelerators. The slurry consistency provided in the method according to the invention is not limited by the measurement method provided or by the specified dimension "propagation diameter", but can also be determined by other measurement methods or represented by other dimensions. It is important that this is the pulp consistency of the gypsum core mass that has just been put on the track and that the design size is determined within a certain maximum period of time after the gypsum core mass to be examined has been removed.
The process according to the invention can be carried out per se with all suitable coating compositions, as are given, for example, in DE-OS 39 37 433. Due to the design according to the invention, glass fiber abrasion at processing points is almost completely avoided in the gypsum building board. The coating composition is tough and strong and does not release any nonwoven fibers. Since the core mass is brought into contact with the coating mass almost continuously, there are no longer any fleece fibers that are not covered by mass. The practically abrasion-free surface makes the new plasterboard also suitable for cladding ventilation ducts and cable ducts. The extent of penetration of the glass fleece layer with core material or the application of core material to coating material can be indicated at every point of the gypsum coating due to the improved lifting resistance. In addition, the plasterboard according to the invention has excellent Coating properties, so that even heavy coating materials form a firm and permanent bond with the plate without the need for prior filling or any other expensive treatment of the surface.
Regardless of how deeply the coating mass has penetrated into the glass fleece layer, it is ensured that the core mass has penetrated so deep into the glass fleece layer that the desired continuous contact of the coating mass and core mass is given. This also provides an improvement in the resistance to lifting off by reducing the risk of splitting of the glass fleece layer. It is a known technique (GB-
The bond quality is particularly increased in that the calcium sulfate of the coating mass serves as a nucleating agent for the gypsum formation of the core mass. This creates a directional growth of a plaster layer at the junction between the core mass and the coating, which has an extremely adhesive effect (epitaxy).
The slow setting speed is generally given within the scope of the invention if the start of stiffening according to DIN 1168 is at least 1.5 hours and a maximum of 6 hours for the coated coating material. It is particularly expedient and advantageous if the start of stiffening of the coating composition is at least 2.5 hours and / or a maximum of 5 hours. In this setting time range, the invention has proven itself particularly well in practice.
The calcium sulfate of the gypsum building board, which has not yet been processed, is present in a state that has not or hardly set; the degree of rehydration of the coating mass is <5%, that is to say that a maximum of 5% of the calcium sulfate initially provided when mixing has been converted into calcium sulfate dihydrate. As a rule, however, the calcium sulfate of the coating composition has not set to a degree of rehydration of at most 2%.
In the plasterboard according to the invention, the core mass and the coating mass in the glass fleece layer touch one another almost across the board. The separating surface between the core material area and the coating material area is partially formed by nonwoven fibers, so that the core material and coating material cannot come into contact in this surface area.
In the case of the gypsum building board, the core mass is brought into contact with the coating mass in such a way that the internal strength of the system, expressed by the lifting strength, is at least 0.15 N / mm² at every point. It is particularly expedient and advantageous if there is an average lifting strength of at least 0.20 N / mm². The plate according to the invention proves particularly well in practice at this limit value of the lifting resistance.
It is particularly expedient and advantageous if the coating composition is calcium sulfate hemihydrate and contains additives which bring about a slow setting rate of the calcium sulfate hemihydrate. When using calcium sulfate hemihydrate, the addition of the additives ensures that the coating composition of the gypsum building board is not, or almost not, set.
As a rule, the calcium sulfate hemihydrate is rendered stucco. For the slow setting speed, additives in the form of retarders are definitely added. Suitable retarders include e.g. B. citric acid and protein hydrolysates.
It is particularly expedient and advantageous if the coating composition has the following composition, regardless of the water added: 60-95% by weight stucco, 0.01-1% by weight cellulose ether, 0.03-0.5% by weight Retarder, 0.05-1.0 wt% condenser. It is particularly advantageous if the coating composition contains up to 25% by weight of limestone powder and / or up to 5% by weight of PVAC dispersion. With such a coating compound, the nonwoven fibers are held particularly well in the plate and the glass fiber abrasion resistance is particularly good. The limestone flour is a filler. The condenser is e.g. Lignin sulfonate, a naphthalene sulfonic acid condensation product or a melamine resin.
A particularly expedient and advantageous embodiment of the invention further consists in the calcium sulfate being a calcium sulfate anhydrite which is fine-grained with a grain size of <200 μm, preferably <63 μm and is partially capable of setting. In the present case, this special anhydrite can be provided as a plaster coating on the glass fleece layer. This anhydrite has an advantageous ability to penetrate the fleece surface and forms an optimal bond with the binder and fleece. The anhydrite usually has a grain size average of d₅₀ between 8 and 12 microns.
During the production of the plasterboard, minimal calcium sulfate abrasion occurs at the forming station when the coated glass fleece layer is placed on it, which accumulates during long production times. If the calcium sulfate in the coating material is anhydrite, then this calcium sulfate abrasion does not lead to caking on the production facilities. Particularly useful and it is advantageous in this context if the coating composition has the following composition, regardless of the water added: at least 94% by weight calcium sulfate anhydrite, 0.01-0.8% by weight cellulose ether, 0.01-1. 0% by weight of condenser and a maximum of 0.2% of wetting agent.
It is also particularly expedient and advantageous if the coating composition contains a plasticizer. The plasticizer is only available in small quantities, e.g. a maximum of 5% by weight is available and e.g. a polyacrylate or a styrene / butadiene. The plasticizer makes the coating compound plastic and flexible, which improves its ability to permanently and firmly encase the fibers.
The organic binder which is provided in the coating composition in the present case is e.g. Polyacrylate or styrene acrylate. Organic binders generally worsen fire behavior and increase the toxicity of the smoke gases generated in the event of a fire. In the plasterboard according to the invention, however, the proportion of binder can be kept relatively low. It is therefore particularly expedient and advantageous if the organic binder makes up less than 6% by weight of the dry coating composition. The calcium sulfate of the coating composition, which has not or almost not set but is still reactive, thus makes it possible to reduce the proportion of organic binder.
In a further embodiment, up to 40% by weight of aluminum hydroxide or boric acid is added to the coating composition. This ensures that the plasterboard meets the criteria for building material class A1 according to DIN 4102.
It is also particularly expedient and advantageous if, in the plasterboard according to the invention, the ratios of the glass fleece layer provided with the calcium sulfate coating are set such that the coating composition has an abrasion of a maximum of 0.2 g on the surface. This there is little abrasion because organic binder, fleece and calcium sulfate form an optimal adhesive bond.
The abrasion resistance is determined in accordance with DIN 53109, "Testing of paper and cardboard: determination of abrasion using the friction wheel method" and ISO 4586-2 "Abration resistance of decorative laminated sheets." The Teldyne Taber Standard Abrasion Tester serves as an abrasion device. The standardized S-33 emery paper is applied to the friction wheels. Each friction wheel is loaded with an additional weight of 500 g. During the test, the friction wheels with S-33 emery paper are allowed to act on the plate surface for 10 revolutions. The abrasion is then determined by determining the weight difference.
0,28 N/mm².Another advantage of the plasterboard according to the invention is that the resistance to lifting off after further surface treatment (primer, paint, wallpaper or plaster) is increased. Plates according to the invention of a production have an average lifting strength of 0.34 N / mm² after production, the minimum value from six measurements across the plate width being 0.23 N / mm². Part of the boards is painted with an aqueous dispersion primer, the other part is coated with a thin plaster based on gypsum. The average lifting strength reaches 0.42 N / mm² after priming and 0.43 N / mm² after thin-plaster application: the minimum values increase to 0.24 and 0.28 N / mm².
The coating composition based on calcium sulfate comprises either only hemihydrate or only anhydrite as an inorganic binder. The core mass is composed as it is common for plasterboard of the type in question and as it is used in conventional plasterboard. The gypsum building board according to the invention is produced on conventional manufacturing plants for gypsum plasterboard. After its production, the plasterboard is in the unprocessed state when it is stored and / or transported and / or mechanically is attached. A processed state exists when the plasterboard is installed in a building. If the coating mass on the installed plasterboard is covered with wallpaper, tiles or foils, it absorbs water and the calcium sulfate can partially rehydrate.

The gypsum building board according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has a board core 1, on one surface side of which a
The intimate contact between the core mass and the coating mass can be shown on the basis of scanning electron micrographs. Fig. 3 shows the perfect contact of both layers that have penetrated the glass fleece layer. In the plate on which FIG. 4 is based, iron oxide is added to the stucco before mixing. The electron beam microsensor is used to determine how far the core mass has penetrated the glass fleece. As can be seen from the spectra, the nuclear mass has penetrated to the point labeled "2". Position "1" shows no iron peak. Because such analyzes in practice too are complex, the extent of contact is described by the lifting strength.
The
