If the 256 nozzles of such an element are numbered from B0 to B255, this element includes 257 piezoelectric partitions numbered from 0 to 256. Since 16 nozzles do not have to be excited, the partitions numbered 240 to 256 are not normally never excited by an electric voltage. he as a result the ink residing inside the B240 nozzles to B255 is never ejected.

Description
Claims (7)
- Une machine d'affranchissement comportant une tête d'impression à jet d'encre (20) incluant une rangée de buses (B0-B255) mises en fonctionnement sélectivement sous la commande d'un moyen de contrôle (40,41,42) en vue d'imprimer un motif postal sur un pli passant sous la tête d'impression, caractérisée en ce que seules des premières buses (B0-B239) consécutives de la rangée de buses formant un sous-ensemble de buses distinct de l'ensemble des buses disponibles (B0-B255) dans la rangée sont mises en fonctionnement par le moyen de contrôle pour l'impression du motif postal et en ce que le moyen de contrôle est agencé en outre pour mettre en fonctionnement les autres buses (B240-B255) de la rangée de buses, différentes des premières buses (B0-B239), en l'absence d'un pli devant la tête d'impression en vue de vidanger ces dites autres buses de manière à éviter leur encrassement au cours du temps.
- La machine selon la revendication 1, comprenant un réservoir (31) pour recevoir l'encre éjectée par les dites autres buses.
- La machine selon les revendications 1 ou 2, dans laquelle le moyen de contrôle (40,41,42) est agencé pour mettre en fonctionnement lesdites autres buses (B240-B255) de façon cyclique dans l'intervalle de temps disponible après le passage d'un pli devant la tête d'impression et avant le passage d'un pli subséquent devant la tête d'impression.
- Une machine d'affranchissement comportant une tête d'impression à Jet d'encre (20) incluant une rangée de buses (B0-B255) mises en fonctionnement sélectivement sous la commande d'un moyen de contrôle (40,41,42) en vue d'imprimer un motif postal sur un pli passant sous la tête d'impression, caractérisé en ce que seulement des premières buses (B0-B239) consécutives de la rangée de buses formant un sous-ensemble de buses distinct de l'ensemble des buses disponibles (B0-B255) dans la rangée sont mises en fonctionnement par le moyen de contrôle pour l'impression du motif postal et en ce que le moyen de contrôle est agencé pour mettre en fonctionnement alternativement des sous-ensembles différents de premières buses (B0-B239;B8-B247;B16-B255), ces sous-ensembles occupant des positions décalées à l'intérieur de l'ensemble des buses disponibles (B0-B255) dans la rangée de buses de manière à exciter au cours du temps toutes les buses de la rangée de buses.
- La machine selon la revendication 4, dans laquelle le moyen de contrôle (40,41,42) alterne la mise en fonctionnement des sous-ensembles de premières buses à chaque cycle d'affranchissement.
- La machine selon la revendication 5, dans laquelle il est prévu un circuit additionneur (43) d'adresses qui alterne la mise en fonctionnement des sous-ensembles de premières buses.
- La machine selon l'une des revendications 1 à 6, dans laquelle il est aussi prévu un compteur pour chaque buse qui comptabilise le nombre de fois que cette buse est excitée en vue de produire un message d'alerte ou de bloquer le fonctionnement de la machine d'affranchissement quand l'un des compteurs dépasse une valeur de seuil.
