Ofenmuffeln dieser Art sind allgmein bekannt. Bei solchen Ofenmuffeln ist die manuelle Reinigung der Muffeldecke oder des Muffelbodens durch den davor befindlichen Strahlungsheizkörper erheblich erschwert bzw. praktisch nicht durchführbar. Bei einer anderen bekannten Backofenmuffel (DE 37 18 823 C2), deren Deckenwandung aus einer Glaskeramikplatte besteht, gegen die von außen eine Strahlungsheizkörpereinheit in Anlage gebracht ist, läßt sich die Muffeldecke wohl manuell reinigen, jedoch erfordert hier die Backofenmuffel eine von den üblichen Muffeln abweichende spezielle konstruktive Ausgestaltung, was aber zu einer entsprechenden Verteuerung einer solchen Muffel führt. Auch die Strahlungsheizkörpereinheit ist eine speziell für diesen Zweck ausgebildete Montageeinheit und auch nur dafür geeignet. Die Montage dieser Einheit erfordert ebenfalls einen gewissen Aufwand, der sich verteuernd auf das Endprodukt auswirkt.This type of oven is generally known. Die vor dem bzw. den Strahlungsheizkörpern angeordnete Schutzplatte schafft einen glatten Begrenzungsabschluß für den Back- und Bratraum. Dadurch, daß die jeweilige Schutzplatte kein fester Bestandteil der Ofenmuffel ist, kann diese herausgenommen und außerhalb der Ofenmuffel gereinigt werden. Die Schutzplatte besteht zweckmäßig aus Glas oder Glaskeramik, das sich besonders leicht reinigen läßt. Die verschiebbare Anordnung der Schutzplatte in der Ofenmuffel erleichtert deren Handhabung erheblich und erfordert auch keinen zusätzlichen Montageaufwand. Weiterhin erfüllt die eingeschobene Schutzplatte einen zusätzlichen Schutz gegen ein zufälliges direktes Berühren des Strahlungsheizkörpers.The protective plate arranged in front of the radiant heater or radiators creates a smooth boundary for the baking and roasting room. Im rückseitigen Bereich der Ofenmuffel 1 ist ein Heißluft-Umwälzgebläse 8 vorgesehen. Beide Strahlungsheizkörper 4, 14 sind gegenüber dem Muffel- bzw. Back- und Bratraum 5 zweckmäßig durch eine aus der Ofenmuffel herausnehmbare bzw. abnehmbare Schutzplatte 6 bzw. 16 abgedeckt. Beide Schutzplatten 6, 16 bestehen in vorteilhafter Weise aus Glas oder Glaskeramik. Zweckmäßig sind die Schutzplatte 6, 16 im Back- und Bratraum 5 verschiebbar gehaltert.
