Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a patient support surface of an operating table, which consists of several interconnected storage surface sections and can be detachably connected to a support device in the area of one of these sections.
Patient support surfaces of the aforementioned type are known, the sections of which can be pivoted relative to one another about transverse axes with the aid of motors arranged in the spars of the patient support surface. For certain purposes, however, it would also be desirable to enable a translational adjustment of the bearing surface relative to the support device, for example in order to be able to move certain parts of the patient's body into the area of an X-ray device or other stationary devices during the operation, without the patient's bearing surface being moved away from it Support device must be removed. The problem with all types of adjustment devices arises that they must work reliably and must not pose a risk to the patient or the surgeon and at the same time must be easy and reliable to clean so that they can meet the requirement for sterility in an operating room.
The invention has for its object to provide a patient support surface of the type mentioned, which is translationally adjustable relative to a support device taking into account the above requirements.
This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of
In the solution according to the invention, the adjustment device for a translatory adjustment of the patient support surface relative to the support device is arranged entirely within the patient support surface. This eliminates coupling elements between the bearing surface and the support device, for a translational adjustment of the patient support surface relative to the support device and the associated hygienic problems. If the bearing surface is connected to the support device, only a connection for the transmission of the drive energy and possibly control signals between the support device and the bearing surface must be established. The intervention of mechanical elements for transmitting a drive movement, however, is not necessary. The adjustment device is a completely closed unit within the patient support area and is not affected by the separation of the patient support area and the support device.
The drive device preferably comprises an electric motor, which is connected to a transmission device arranged in the lower plate part for transmitting electrical energy between the bearing surface and the support device is. Such a transmission device can comprise, for example, electrical contact elements which come into contact with corresponding contact elements in the support device when the patient support surface is placed on the support device.
The upper plate part is preferably fixedly connected to at least one output element which is guided in the lower plate part and engages within the same with a drive element driven by the electric motor. For an easy-to-clean design of the patient support surface, it is therefore only necessary to bring the driven element connected to the upper plate part tightly out of the box-shaped lower plate part. Sealing elements suitable for this purpose are known.
According to a preferred embodiment, the output element is formed by a toothed rack which engages with a drive pinion within the lower plate part. Such a rack which can be displaced within the lower plate part can be guided out of the lower plate part relatively tightly without any problems. The bearing surface is expediently driven relative to the support device symmetrically in such a way that the upper plate part has longitudinal bars connected by a cross strut, each of which is connected to a toothed rack guided in the lower plate part.

The operating table shown schematically in FIG. 1 comprises a
The
The middle section 18 of the
The
The
The
In the bottom of the
The above description shows that, in the patient support surface according to the invention, all the adjustment devices, including a translational horizontal adjustment of the support surface, are arranged within the support surface. It is thus possible to set and control all movement functions on the patient support surface, regardless of whether the patient support surface is arranged on the support column of the operating table or on a transport trolley or on any other support device, provided that the storage surface is used for the operation of the patient arranged electric motors receives the necessary energy and possibly the necessary control signals. Since no mechanical drive elements have to be coupled to the bearing surface, both the contact surface on the bearing surface and the contact surface on the support device can also be easily cleaned.
