Definitions
- the invention relates to a support column for holding a patient support surface according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a support column is known for example from DE-A-22 60 140.
- the frame is formed by a rectangular frame with two vertical side parts, a lower plate and an upper plate. This frame is guided vertically adjustable along its two vertical side parts in a rigid guide connected to the column base.
- the lower plate carries two linear drives.
- the top plate is connected to the headboard by a rigid rod and the additional universal joint.
- This support column takes up a lot of space. Because of the rigid frame, the height to which the head part and thus the patient support surface can be lowered to a maximum is relatively large.
- the invention has for its object to provide a support column of the known type so that it takes up little space, in particular a small diameter and that the adjustment range of the head part is larger, in particular the head part and thus the patient support surface can be further reduced.
- a very space-saving and material-saving design of the lifting frame is provided according to the invention in that the lifting frame has a hollow center column which receives the guide element and is connected at its upper end via a radial arm to the upper end of the lifting column and at its lower end to a three-armed support , near the free arm ends of which the linear drives are articulated.
- the lifting column and / or the linear drives can be designed in a manner known per se as electromechanical spindle drives or also as hydraulic drives.
- the adjustment device is surrounded by a telescopic housing, which is connected at its upper end to the head part via a bellows.
- the operating table shown in FIG. 1 comprises a patient support surface, generally designated 10, and a support column, generally designated 14, connected to a central section 12 of the patient support surface, with a column base 16.
- the support column 14 comprises a foot part 18, which is either installed in the column foot shown in FIG. 1 or directly in the floor of an operating room.
- a double telescopic lifting column 20 connected thereto, with a base part 20 and two telescopic ears 24 and 26 fixed to the foot part.
- Electric motor 28 is driven.
- a pinion not shown, which drives a chain wheel via a chain, which is mounted on a threaded spindle rotatably mounted within the lifting column 20 sits. As it rotates, this threaded spindle drives the tubes 24 and 26 via a threaded sleeve connected to the tube 26.
- a radial arm 30 is connected to the upper end of the telescopic tube 26 and carries a downwardly projecting guide column 32 at its free end.
- the lower end of the guide column 32 is rigidly connected to a three-armed support 34.
- a linear drive 36 is arranged at each free end of the three arms of the carrier 34, and its lower end is connected to the free end of the respective carrier arm via a two-axis universal joint 38.
- the arms of the carrier 34 are designed such that the three linear drives 36 and the lifting column 20 — viewed in plan view — are arranged in the four corners of the rectangular plate-shaped base part.
- Each linear drive comprises, in a manner known per se, a telescopic column 40 receiving a spindle drive and a low-voltage electric motor 42, which drives the spindle within the telescopic column 40 via a chain drive in the same way as was described for the lifting column 20.
- the upper end of the telescopic column 40 is connected via a two-axis universal joint 44 to a plate-shaped head part 46 of the support column 14.
- a rod-shaped guide element 50 is articulated via a further universal joint 48, which is guided in the hollow guide tube 32 so as to be non-rotatable but vertically displaceable.
- the adjustment device formed by the lifting column and the three linear drives of the support column 14 is surrounded by three cladding rings 52 which overlap telescopically so that they can move against one another and thus completely cover the interior of the column despite the adjustability ensure the head part 46.
- This is connected to the uppermost trim ring 52 via a bellows 54.
- the head part 46 can be adjusted in height by the lifting column 20.
- the inclination of the head part 46 can be determined in any direction and about any axis by means of the linear drives 36.
- the guide element 50 ensures that the head part 46 is held stable and secure against rotation despite the movable mounting of the linear drives 36.
- the structure of the support column according to the invention is extremely compact and therefore has a small diameter. Nevertheless, it is possible to collapse the column to a low height, i.e. H. to lower the headboard and the patient support surface to a low height without the linear drives interfering with each other. This is important because when the head part 46 is inclined, the linear drives each incline at least slightly from their vertical position.

Abstract
