Mit der EP 0 532 347 A1 ist ein System von Schwellenprofilen bekanntgeworden, welche in bauseits bereitgestellte Aussparungen gesteckt werden. Eine Anpassung an die Blattstärke der Türflügel erfolgt lediglich durch unterschiedliche Distanzstücke. Toleranzen bei Aussparungen im Boden können leicht ausgeglichen werden. Fig.1 zeigt ein modulares Schwellenprofil im Querschnitt. Je zwei gegeneinandergerichtete Führungsprofile 1 und ein Abstandhalter 2 bilden zusammen eine Führungsnut 3. Distanzstücke 4 dienen zur Anpassung an die mit Gleitstücken 5 und Kalter 6 versehenen Türflügel 7 in einer bauseits bereitgestellten Aussparung 8 im Stockwerkboden, z.B. Betonboden. Führungsprofile 1, Abstandhalter 2 und Distanzstücke 4 werden vorzugsweise über Reibschluss miteinander verbunden. Die durch gewünschte Verkleidung und Robustheit der Türflügel variablen Dimensionen Türflügeltiefe TT und Türspalt TS werden mit unterschiedlichen Distanzstücken 4 angepasst. Die durch die beiden Führungsprofile 1 gebildete Öffnung 9 wird so schmal gehalten, dass Transportgüter mit Rollen einfacher bewegt werden können. Die Distanzstücke 4 verlaufen über die gesamte Länge des Schwellenprofils. Die Oberkanten der Distanzstücke 4 sind bündig mit den Führungsprofilen 1 und dem Fussbodenniveau 10. Die Abstandhalter 2 sind nur in den Bereichen von Schraubverbindungen 11, bestehend aus einer Schraube oder einer Gewindestange und Muttern, angeordnet, um die Beibehaltung der Breite der Führungsnut 3 zu gewährleisten. Ausserdem wird durch diese Anordnung zusätzlich Raum für durch die Öffnung 9 einfallenden Schmutz bereitgestellt. Als Variante kann der Abstandhalter auch über die gesamte Länge des Schwellenprofils verlaufen. Die Führungsprofile 1 sind handelsübliche C- oder L-Profile oder bestehen aus entsprechend abgekantetem Blech. Durch Seitenlappen 12 sind die Führungsflächen 13 der Führungsprofile 1 vor Verschmutzung geschützt. Aufgrund der Verwendung von Profilen oder abgekantetem Blech kann die Breite der Führungsnut 3 soweit vergrössert werden, dass anstelle von Gleitstücken 5 Rollen eingesetzt werden können. Das Entfernen der Distanzstücke 4 bzw. der Abstandhalter 2, nach dem Lösen der Schraubverbindung 11, erleichtert die Wartung und den Ersatz der Führungsprofile 1 und der Gleitstücke 5. Die Distanzstücke 4 bestehen aus einem widerstandsfähigen Material (z.B. Aluminium). Eine weitere Möglichkeit besteht darin, dass die Distanzstücke 4 aus einem transparenten Material (z.B. Plexiglas) mit darunterliegender Schwellenbeleuchtung und/oder einem Informationsdisplay bestehen.
