Definitions
- the invention relates to a stain cleaning gun, with a housing and a handle protruding therefrom, from which housing a line piece ending in a nozzle head for supplying and dispensing a cleaning liquid protrudes, and with a push button mounted in the handle for actuating an on / off switch for operating a Pumping device of the cleaning liquid.
- chlorinated hydrocarbons have been the preferred stain cleaning agent in companies for the chemical cleaning of clothes and also in large industrial textile companies.
- the chlorinated solvents were characterized by the fact that they evaporate very easily and thus did not cause any drying problem when cleaning stains.
- stain cleaning both in the field of chemical cleaning and in the textile industry, it is important that the stain is removed without a rim. It is a well known fact that in e.g. a tissue loosened dirt is swept away by the liquid spreading in the tissue and is deposited at the edge of the respective moistened area and forms the known dirt ring. It is also important that the cleaned area is completely dried off immediately after the treatment, e.g. to enable a visual determination of whether the area in question is "clean" or whether it needs to be cleaned again.
- Chlorinated hydrocarbons which have met the stated conditions well, are banned more and more because they are substances that damage the ozone layer.
- the cleaning liquid in question being applied in the form of a sharp, pulsating jet to the area of the textile piece to be cleaned, as it turns out has that the removal of a stain is not only carried out efficiently by a reaction triggered by the respective solvent of the cleaning liquid, but also that mechanical processing, caused by the pulsating jet, is necessary.
- the cleaning liquid for different types of stains can also be just water.
- a device for removing stains according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed in EP-A-0 325 192.
- the invention solves the problem of creating a stain cleaning gun that is user-friendly and easy to use.
- Figure 1 shows a side view of a stain cleaning gun
- Figure 2 shows a top view of the stain cleaning gun according to Figure 1.
- the stain cleaning gun has a housing 1 which is made, for example, of a plastic.
- a pistol grip-shaped handle 2 protrudes from the housing 1.
- the liquid pump (not shown) driven by an oscillating armature motor for the cleaning liquid is arranged in the housing.
- the pressure of the cleaning fluid delivered by the pump is controlled by the regulating screw 18 elected.
- the button 19 is used to fasten a container with cleaning liquid directly to the housing 1, unless a storage container for the cleaning liquid arranged at a remote location is required.
- the shown version of the stain cleaning gun is intended for use with a remote cleaning container.
- the cleaning liquid is supplied through the supply line 20.
- the angled pipe section 4, 5 consists of a first section 4 running in the longitudinal direction of the housing and a second section 5 adjoining it at an oblique angle, which ends with a nozzle head 3 with an outlet end 15, the longitudinal axis of the second, obliquely running Section 5 is designated by the reference number 12.
- the nozzle head 3 can be rotated with the arm 27 in order to select the sharpness of the fan-shaped liquid jet emerging from it, that is to say the fan angle of the spray jet.
- the push button 6 for switching the pump for the cleaning liquid on and off is arranged.
- a discharge pipe 7 for drying air is connected to the housing 1 via an angle piece 16. The drying air is fed through the hose 22 to this discharge pipe 7.
- a control valve 9 to be actuated by an actuating arm 8 is fastened under the housing 1.
- This has a control air inlet 13 and a control air outlet 14, to which parts hose lines 23, 24 are connected, which are optionally equipped with a heater to the compressed air supply device, ie the control device thereof.
- the control is pneumatic, so that there is no danger of sparking under the housing 1.
- All hose lines 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and line 25 for the electrical power supply are combined in a corrugated hose 26, for example made of plastic. It is therefore very easy to convert existing stain cleaning systems by replacing the old devices with this stain cleaning gun as the only device.
- the discharge pipe 7 for the drying air is cut off at an oblique angle and ends. At the end of the dispensing tube 7, this results in a contact surface 10 of the dispensing tube 7 that extends at an oblique angle to its longitudinal axis 11. This contact surface 10 also extends at least approximately at right angles to the longitudinal axis 12 of the second section 5, or the nozzle head 3.
- the push button 6 in the pistol-shaped handle 2 and the actuating arm 8, which is arranged below at the side next to the housing 1, can now be operated with the index finger or thumb of the hand of an operator who carries the stain cleaning gun in his hand.
- the push button 6 and the actuating arm 8 are arranged relative to one another in such a way that they can be actuated extremely comfortably with the said fingers, so that the other hand of the actuating person remains free for possible manipulation of the substance to be cleaned and the operation of the stain cleaning gun is convenient and not is tiring.
- a sharply pulsating jet of the cleaning liquid is directed against the point to be cleaned by actuating the push button 6 from the nozzle 3.
- the supply of the possibly heated compressed air is initiated immediately by depressing the actuating arm 8.
- the support surface 10 is flat on the (at a permeable base) placed area of the fabric so that no drying air between the fabric and the discharge tube 7 can escape laterally and thus the entire air jet must penetrate through the fabric, whereby the drying process is considerably shortened, in particular by entraining the liquid parts from the fabric. Because of the bevelled support surface 10, the surface area acted upon by the drying air is also considerably larger than if the delivery tube 7 were placed vertically on the relevant fabric area with an exactly radially cut end surface.
- the delivery tube 7 when the delivery tube 7 is in the position described, i.e. with a flat support of the support surface 10 is placed on the relevant location of the fabric, the outlet end 15 of the nozzle head 3 is at a distance from the fabric.
- the dispensing tube 7 can optionally be used as a spacer during the application of the pulsating jet of the cleaning liquid, so that, for example, the point to be cleaned is not damaged by a sharp jet of the cleaning liquid.
