The invention relates to a drainage element for presses Excretion of liquids from solid substances, especially for fruit presses, comprising one rod-shaped, flexible drainage core with flow paths for Deriving the squeezed liquid from the press room and a surrounding the drainage core, liquid-permeable filter cover, at least one End of the drainage element on a juice collecting plate, Pressure plate or can be attached to the press jacket of the press, as well as the drainage core in the fastening area and on a free section adjoining it elastic cuff.

Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the known Attachment of a drainage element in a fruit press. In a press space 2 delimited by a pressure plate 1 a known fruit press, not shown, are one A large number of drainage elements 3 are arranged.

A drainage element 3 consists essentially of a elastic drainage core 4, over the outside Grooves 5, as section A-A shows, the liquid during the pressing process is led out of the pressing chamber 2, and a stocking-shaped filter 6 stretched over it Solid-liquid separation. Each at the ends of the Drainage element 3 are the drainage core 4 and the filter 6 fixed in a core holder 7. The filter 6 will passed over an elastic cuff 8 and with an O-ring 9 fixed. A disc 10 serves to support the cuff 8 against a cross pin 11 which laterally in bores of Drainage core 4 and the core holder 7 is pushed, and the axial and radial fixation of the two components 4 and 7 guaranteed to each other.

The core holder 7 is using a spacer 12 and a circlip 13 connected to the pressure plate 1. Here, a cam 14 of the locking ring 13, the through a slot 15 in the spacer 12 into a groove 16 of the core holder 7 engages in connection with one behind the pressure plate 1 lying collar 17 Spacer 12, the security against axial displacement forth.

  • As can be seen in FIG. 1, the filter 6 is held in the spacer 12 by being clamped between the core holder 7, cuff 8 and O-ring 9. At least the cuff 8 is made of an elastically deformable material, preferably an elastomer. This type of construction has the following disadvantages:
  • a) The clamping forces result in a reduction in the inner diameter of the elastic cuff 8, the clamping forces being partially also transmitted to the drainage core 4. Since the drainage core 4 also consists of an elastic material, it is permanently deformed in accordance with this force. The core diameter becomes smaller and the juice drainage cross section in the grooves 5 is reduced, which hinders the juice drainage.
  • b) When the pressing process takes place, tensile forces 20 also act along the filter 6. Since the cuff 8 consists of an elastic material, when such tensile forces 20 occur above a certain amount, it is pulled with the filter 6 through an annular gap, which between the Core holder 7 and the drain core 4 is formed. This leads to malfunctions.
  • c) Another cause of the fault is due to the fact that, due to the tensile forces 20 on the filter 6, forces act in the longitudinal direction on the outer circumference of the cuff 8 due to the friction between the filter and the cuff. The friction between the cuff 8 and the drainage core 4 on the inner circumference of the cuff, however, holds the cuff in place, so that the longitudinal forces on the outer circumference lead to longitudinal shearing and thus to a reduction in the outer diameter of the cuff 8. This in turn leads to the fact that the clamping force 22 between the core holder 7 and cuff 8 for fixing the filter 6 decreases so much that the filter 6 is pulled out between the clamping parts. This also results in a malfunction.
The disadvantages described are therefore due to the conditional rubber-elastic properties of the parts mentioned. However, it is not possible to do without elastically deformable parts be otherwise the life of the filter 6 is shortened becomes.

Fig. 1 mit dem Innendurchmesser der Stulpe 8' bündig ab und reicht nur so weit, dass sich ungestützte Zonen 24 der Stulpe 8' ergeben.FIG. 2 shows a cuff 8 'similar to that in FIG. 1 shown and explained type. In the cuff 8 ', however a metal ring 23 inserted as a support element, the Connection between metal ring and cuff detachable or firm can be. The metal ring 23 closes in Fastening area of the drainage core 4 acc. Fig. 1 with the inner diameter of the cuff 8 'and is only sufficient so far that unsupported zones 24 of the cuff 8 ' surrender.

Through the metal ring 23, the above are in connection with Fig. 1 mentioned disadvantages of the known drainage element fixed, namely the deformations on the grooves 5 for the Drainage and pulling out the rubber-elastic cuff 8 and the filter 6 between the core holder 7 and the Drainage core 4.

In the embodiment of the cuff 8 'according to FIG. 3 is supported by a ring 26, which is flush with the outer diameter of the cuff 8 '. Like ring 23 according to FIG. 2, ring 26 also has 3 has a circular radial cross section.

Fig. 1 reduziert.Fig. 4 shows a variant of the cuff 8 ', in which the supporting ring 28 on its outer circumference as part of a Shoulder is integrated into the cuff. So that is at the same time wear on the shoulder Core holder 7 acc. Fig. 1 reduced.
