Definitions

  • the invention relates to a transport and storage container for bulk goods and viscous goods with feet and with an opening on its underside, which can be closed with flaps opposite one another, each pivotable about an axis of rotation.
  • Such containers are mainly known from the construction industry. They are used on construction sites for large quantities of pourable building materials such as gravel, mortar or plaster. A machine for mixing the materials with water can be arranged under the opening of the containers. However, these containers are too large for smaller quantities of material. In addition, due to their size and weight, changing the location of the containers on the construction site is practically impossible.
  • Another disadvantage of the known containers is that, when filled, the entire load of the container contents rests on the pivotable flaps. When the flaps are opened, a dynamic force is added to this static load, which makes opening and closing the flaps difficult for a metered delivery of the container contents.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a transport and storage container for bulk goods or viscous goods, which is particularly suitable for smaller amounts of material and allows metered delivery of the container contents into a device for further processing.
  • a generic container in that a bluff body is arranged in the interior of the container opposite the opening and the flaps can be moved into contact with the bluff body to close the container and can be moved away from it to form the container opening a funnel of variable opening size.
  • the bluff body inside the container takes on the greatest load of the container contents and thus reduces the force acting on the flaps. Especially when the container is opened, the dynamic force with which the bulk material pushes out of the container is braked by the bluff body. This enables easier opening and, above all, closing of the container.
  • the bluff body acts as a breaking wedge for the material, so that it always remains free-flowing and metered and guided through the funnel formed by the flaps from the container, for example, into a device for further processing.
  • the material condenses in lower, mostly tapered area such that it is not possible to remove material after opening the flaps. This problem no longer occurs in the container according to the invention.
  • the feet which are necessary for setting up the container on a construction site or the like, can be arranged to be removable or retractable in order to allow easy transport of the container even on smaller vehicles. The use of such a container is therefore economically sensible even for smaller quantities of material.
  • the bluff body is arranged above the axis of rotation of the flaps so that the flaps close the container in an upward first closed position.
  • this closed position the container is filled and transported to the construction site.
  • the flaps are moved down out of the container, the container opens.
  • a second closed position is also sufficient to close the container, which results from the fact that the flaps touch in a position in which the flaps are aligned on a line, and thus close the container.
  • the material trickling out is pressed into the cavity of the bluff body.
  • the first position reduces the forces exerted by the bulk material on the flaps, particularly during transport, and the second position allows the container to be opened and closed quickly at the construction site.
  • the container has a base area of approximately 80 x 120 cm. This standardized dimension enables the best possible use of the loading area on trucks and thus facilitates transportation.
  • the containers are moved with forklifts at the construction site and for loading and unloading the transport vehicles. Guides on the container for the tines of forklifts make this easier Transport operations.
  • the container can be placed on a scissor lift table or on a tail lift from a truck by means of the feet which are preferably arranged at the corners of the container.
  • the container can also be placed on the platform of a truck.
  • the container contents are processed by a built-in mixing tube.
  • the feet can preferably be arranged so that they can be offset from one another.
  • the underside of the container can have a device for fastening a storage container with a mixing tube, the contents of the container being mixed with water, for example, in the mixing tube in order to then emerge in a completely mixed state.
  • a container side can have a further device to which a vibrator is to be fastened, which can vibrate the container walls in order to prevent the container contents from sticking to the container walls.
  • a transport basket for example on the top of the container, can accommodate the feet of the container and other devices that are required in connection with the container during transport.
  • a device 10 consists of a substantially cuboid-shaped container 11 which is supported by four feet 12. 1 and 2 show a mixing tube 13 attached to the underside of the container.
  • the container 11 has an opening 14 on its upper side which is covered by a cover 15.
  • the opening 14 is so large that a person can climb into the container in order to clean or repair it.
  • the container outlet 16 is completely covered by the mixing tube 13 in the illustration in FIG. 1.
  • Fastening hooks 17 allow the mixing tube 13 to be easily fastened to the container 11 with clamping buckles 18.
  • An angle flange 19 with two bores 20 is provided in each corner on the top of the container 11. They serve for the safe stacking of containers and the basket, whereby the container can also be hung up.
  • a recess 21 in the front container wall is provided for attaching a vibrator (not shown) (see FIG. 3).
  • the container 11 has four square openings 22 in its lower half, into which feet 12 are inserted.
  • the feet 12 have a square cross section and consist essentially from an angled part 23, the horizontal end of which is inserted into the opening 22 and the lower end of which a foot part 24 is inserted.
  • a lever 26 can be inserted into bores 25 in the foot upper part 23, which can be inserted through the foot upper part in such a way that the foot lower part 24 can only be pushed into the foot upper part 23 until it comes into contact with the lever 26.
  • a bracket 27 on the upper foot 23 and a protrusion 28 on the lever 26 prevent the lever 26 from falling out of the bore 25.
  • Fig. 2 shows the container 11 from the side with the mixing tube 13 and attached flap key 29, which serves to open the container.
  • the angled upper part 23 of the feet 12 has such a long horizontal part that the space under the container 11 is easily accessible and working under the container 11 is not hindered by the feet 12.
  • the container 11 On its underside, the container 11 has guides 30 and 31 for the tines of a lifting vehicle.
  • FIG. 3 shows the flap mechanism of the container.
  • a bluff body 32 is provided in the interior of the container 11 in the lower region of the container 11.
  • This bluff body 32 consists of two sheets 33, 34 which are welded to one another at an angle and which open downwards to the container opening 16.
  • the opening 16 is laterally delimited by two shafts 35, 36, each of which carries a flap 37, 38.
  • These flaps 37, 38 can be pivoted upward about the axes 39, 40 of the shafts 35, 36 until they abut the plates 33, 34 of the bluff body 32. In this flap position, the container is closed, and the load of the container contents largely rests on the bluff body 32 and the conically converging side walls 41, 42 of the container 11.
  • the container opens and the contents of the container can be removed from it flow out into the space under the container 11 or into a storage container with a mixing tube attached under the container 11.
  • a funnel with a variable opening size can be formed as the opening 16. This makes it possible to easily regulate the flow of the material emerging from the container part 11 via the flap position.
  • a horizontal flap position enables the opening 16 to be completely closed. Since the pressure on the flaps 37, 38 is greater when the flap position is horizontal than when the flap position is angled upwards, it is preferable to transport the container 37, 38 into its upper closed position (as shown in the figure).
  • a plate 43 is welded onto which a vibrator 44 (only indicated schematically) can be screwed in order to set the container walls 41, 42 in vibration.
  • a vibrator 44 (only indicated schematically) can be screwed in order to set the container walls 41, 42 in vibration. Such vibrations promote an even flow of material in the container.
  • the flap key 29 can be plugged onto a horizontal shaft 45 so that a rotary movement can be exerted on the shaft 45 by hand.
  • the shaft 45 has at its other end a worm 46, which is in an angular engagement with a worm wheel 47, which is located on the shaft 35, the axis 39 of which is perpendicular to the image plane.
  • the rotation of the flap key 29 thus rotates the shaft 45, and the shaft 35, which is at right angles to the shaft 45, is moved via the worm gear.
  • the flaps 37, 38 On the shaft 35 there are the flaps 37, 38, which thus over the Flap keys 29 are adjustable.
  • the flaps 37, 38 can be brought into any position by means of the worm gear.
