Abstract

In a device for securing and clamping a rubber web, printing web or printing plate on a cylinder of a rotary press, the purpose is to ensure that the printing web is uniformly clamped over its entire width as a result of the torqueless rotation of the clamping spindle which can also provide uniform clamping during operation. This is done according to the invention in that the spindle has teeth around its periphery which mesh with that of racks arranged to be movable transversely to the axis of rotation of the spindle. The racks can be driven by a spring-loaded adjuster.

Description

The invention relates to a device for fastening and tensioning a flexible arcuate object such. B. in the form of a blanket, a blanket or a printing plate on a cylinder of a rotary printing press according to the preamble of claim 1.

From DE 26 06 223 A1, a device for tensioning the rubber blanket of an offset printing press has become known, in which two tensioning spindles arranged in a channel and running parallel to the cylinder axis are provided, each having a slot for receiving one end of a rubber blanket. A worm wheel, which can be rotated with a worm, is provided on each end of the cylinder.

A disadvantage of this device is that torsional forces act when the rubber blanket is tensioned, so that the tensioning shaft is twisted in its longitudinal direction, which leads to an uneven tensioning of the rubber blanket, particularly in the case of rotary printing machines with a large printing width.

From DE 81 01 707 U1 a device for fastening and tensioning a blanket or a printing plate on a cylinder of an offset printing machine has become known, in which a clamping spindle arranged in a channel and running parallel to the cylinder pit is provided, which at its ends via worm gears and Snails is rotatable.

The disadvantage of this device is that the entire clamping device must be dismantled for maintenance and cleaning purposes. This requires a lot of effort. Among other things A new adjustment must be made when installing the device in the cylinder pit in order to avoid damage to the pressure plates and to ensure that the plate cylinder runs smoothly. In addition, it is disadvantageous that the tensioning shaft twists during the tensioning process, which leads to inaccuracies when tensioning arc-shaped bodies.

Angetrieben wird dieses Zahnrad und damit die Spannspindel durch eine ebenfalls außerhalb des Zylinders angeordnete, hin- und herschiebbare Zahnstange.GB-A-266 520 shows a device for fastening and tensioning rubber blankets or flexible printing plates on a cylinder of a printing press. A one-piece clamping spindle is provided with a pin which ends outside the cylinder pit and on which a gearwheel is fastened in a rotationally fixed manner. This gearwheel and thus the clamping spindle are driven by a rack that can also be moved back and forth outside the cylinder.

Das Zwischenrad wird mittels einer vertikal verschiebbaren Zahnstange angetrieben.EP-A-0 529 446, published on 03.03.93 (corresponds to DE 41 27 714 C2) shows a device for fastening and tensioning a flexible arcuate object on a cylinder of a rotary printing press. Here, a rotatable clamping spindle is provided in a cylinder pit. It has a toothing on its circumference, in which an intermediate wheel engages. The idler gear is driven by a vertically movable rack.

The invention has for its object to provide a device for fastening and a uniform over the entire length of the clamping spindle of a blanket, printing blanket or printing plate on a cylinder of a printing press, with which an automatic and even tensioning of the printing blanket over the entire web width.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1 solved.

The invention achieves the following advantages in particular: As a result of a plurality of drive elements arranged on the circumference of the tensioning spindle and acting tangentially to the tensioning spindle, the tensioning spindle is rotated without torsion and thus a uniform tensioning of the printing blanket over the entire width of the cylinder. The arrangement of compression springs in the toothed racks, which can be moved transversely to the axis of rotation of the tensioning spindle, results in constant, even re-tensioning of the rubber blanket, blanket or a printing plate during operation. By means of a controllable drive, e.g. B. a compressed air hose allows a tool-free tensioning of the blanket. According to a special design of the clamping spindle, it can be divided into clamping spindle pieces. so that the clamping spindle pieces each individually from a space between the bearer ring and the clamping device, for. B. can be removed for cleaning purposes without the cylinder has to be removed from the rotary printing press.

The tip circle of the toothing 17 can correspond to the diameter of the clamping spindle 14. The clamping spindle 14 is in different lengths, for. B. divided four equally long clamping spindle pieces 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, of which the clamping spindle piece 14.4 has not been shown in FIG. 1. This also applies to a further rack on which the clamping spindle piece 14.4, not shown, is supported with its second end. These clamping spindle pieces 14.1 to 14.4 engage with their side facing the base plate 11 and provided with the toothing 17 in the top of racks 18, 19, 21, 22. The toothed racks 18 to 22 have an approximately square cross section, correspond in length l to 0.6 times to 0.8 times the width b of the cylinder pit 1 and are each with their bottom surface on the base plate 11 of the cylinder pit 1 against the force a spring 23, 24, 26, 27 movable in the circumferential direction of the cylinder 2. The racks 18 to 22 can also consist of a round cross section. The racks 18, 19, 21, 22 are each arranged below the ends 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 of the clamping spindle pieces 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4 of the clamping spindle 14, so that the first end 29 of the clamping spindle piece 14.1 engages in the rack 18, the second end 30 of the clamping spindle piece 14.1 and the first end 31 of the clamping spindle piece 14.2 engages in the rack 19, the second end 32 of the clamping spindle piece and the first end 33 of the clamping spindle piece 14.3 in the rack 21, the second end 34 of the clamping spindle piece 14.3 and the not shown first end of the clamping spindle piece 14.4 engages in the rack 22. The second end of the clamping spindle piece 14.4, not shown, then engages alone in a rack, not shown. The toothed racks 18, 19, 21, 22 each have a pin 36 on their upper side, which engages in each case in a slot 37 with a round end in the insert strip 8.

All slots 37 are arranged parallel to one another and parallel to the end faces of the cylinder 2. The springs 27 can also be held in a blind hole 39 located in a respective first end face 38 of the rack 18, 19, 21, 22. A second end face 41 of the toothed racks 18, 19, 21, 22 facing the second side face 7 of the cylinder pit 1 is non-positively and positively with a support plate 42, 43, 44, 45, z. B. connected by screws, not shown. These support plates 42, 43, 44, 45 are slightly spaced apart in the axial direction and have a height h running in the radial direction, which is greater than the elongated width e of an air hose 47, which is arranged in one piece in the axial direction between the support plates 42 to 45 and the second side surface 7 of the cylinder head 1. The air hose 47 is closed at its first end and provided at its second end with a connector (not shown) for the inlet and outlet of compressed air. Expediently, the first air hose 47 is assigned a second air hose 57 in parallel, which can also be pressurized with compressed air via a connector (not shown). The compressed air at a pressure of 4 to 6 bar can be obtained from a compressed air system via a hose and a valve, not shown. The nozzle is located on the front side of the device 3 and is connected to the hose mentioned while the cylinder 2 is at a standstill. The device 3 is fastened via through holes, not shown, in the base plate 11 in the cylinder pit 1. For this purpose, screws, not shown, are provided which cooperate with threaded holes, not shown, in the bottom surface 4 of the cylinder pit 1. The base plate 11 is connected to the one-piece insert strips 8, 12 by means of retaining screws, not shown. The insert strips 8, 12 are adapted to the circumference of the clamping spindle 14 on the side facing the clamping spindle 14, but in such a way that the second end 49 of the printing blanket 10 can still be received between the insert strip 8 and the slot 16 of the clamping spindle 14.

The method of operation is as follows: the first end 48 of the rubber blanket 10 is seen in an axially parallel groove 54, which extends in the radial direction and is hung behind the hanging edge 53 by means of the binding strip 51. The printing blanket 10 is now placed around the edge 9 of the insert bar 8. By turning the cylinder 2, the second end 49 reaches the area of the edge 13 of the insert strip 12 and is inserted with its border strip 51 into the slot 16 (FIG. 3). The air hoses 47, 57 are pressurized with compressed air.

For tensioning the clamping spindle 14, the compressed air supply is interrupted, so that the compressed air from the air hoses 47, 57 and the springs 23, 24, 26, 27, the racks 18, 19, 21, 22 synchronously via the clamping spindle pieces 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4 bring it back into the clamping position (Fig. 2). The printing blanket 10 is thus tense. In the case of cleaning or maintenance work to be carried out, the clamping spindle pieces 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4 can be removed from a space which is located in the cylinder pit 1 between the end of the device 3 and a bearer ring (not shown). A distance between the bearer ring and the end face of the device 3 in the cylinder pit 1 is greater than the length g of one of the clamping spindle pieces 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, so that a quick removal of the Clamping spindle pieces 14.1 to 14.4 is guaranteed. In the case of plate cylinders without bearer rings, a space between the end of the device 3 and a side frame is required to remove the individual clamping spindle pieces 14.1 to 14.4. This eliminates the need to remove the entire device 3 when performing cleaning and maintenance work.

Es ist auch möglich, spiegelbildlich zur Darstellung nach Fig. 6 nochmals eine gleiche Anzahl von Zahnstangen 18, 19, 21, 22 sowie eine weitere Zahnstange 58 zur Verriegelung für eine Spannspindel 14 vorzusehen.4 to 6, the locking of a tensioning spindle 14 is shown in order to minimize the effects of the flexing movement of the printing blanket 10 when the cylinder 2 is moved counterclockwise C. For this purpose, a locking device, designated overall by 56, is provided in the cylinder pit 1 parallel to the toothed racks 18, 19, 21, 22 and moves synchronously with the above-mentioned toothed rack 18, 19, 21, 22 transversely to the axis of rotation 52 of the clamping spindle 14. The locking device 56 consists of a toothed rack 58 with a bore 59 for receiving a bolt 61, which is connected at its first end in a non-positive and positive manner to a support plate 62, which in turn is spaced apart from the second end face 41 of the toothed rack 58 by means of compression springs 63. The bolt 61 has a chamfer 64 at its second end. Furthermore, the opening 59 is followed by an opening for receiving a two-armed lever 66 which is mounted on the rack fixed by means of a retaining bolt 67. A first end 68 of the lever 66 is chamfered and is in the case of a blanket change with the chamfer 64 of the bolt 61 non-positive connection. A second end 69 of the lever 66 is angled approximately 45 ° with respect to the first end 68 in the direction of the base plate 11 and engages with its front edge in a toothing 71 which is incorporated in the base plate 11 in the form of a part of a toothed rack. The two-armed lever 66 is pressed against the force of a spring, not shown, with its second end 69 into the toothing 71. The operation is as follows: In the tensioned position according to FIG. 4, the printing blanket 10 cannot loosen when the cylinder 2 rotates in the counterclockwise direction C as a result of a flexing movement, since the lever 66 engages with the toothing 71 of the base plate 11 with its second end 69 . The printing blanket 10 can, however, continue to tension itself if the compression springs 23, 24, 26, 27 expand further. In this case, the toothed rack 58 with its toothing 72 moves in the direction of the air hoses 47, 57 and the second end 69 of the lever 66 engages one tooth further to the right. If the tensioning device is now to be relaxed for the purpose of changing the printing blanket, compressed air is introduced into the air hoses 47, 57. The air hoses 47, 57 now first press against the support plate 62 protruding somewhat from the other support plates 42 to 45, so that the chamfering of the bolt 61 comes into positive engagement with the slope of the first end 68 and presses in the direction of the base plate 11. The second end 69 of the lever 66 comes out of engagement with the toothing 71, so that the hoses 47, 57 now the racks 18, 19, 21, 22 and 58 moved to the left in the direction of the insert bar 8. Thus, a position of the clamping spindle 14 according to FIG. 3 is taken for changing the printing blanket 10. It is also possible to provide an identical number of toothed racks 18, 19, 21, 22 and a further toothed rack 58 for locking a clamping spindle 14 as a mirror image of the representation according to FIG. 6.

Furthermore, according to FIGS. 2 and 3, in the insert bar 8 there is arranged a push-out element designated overall by 73, which consists of a pin 74 which is movably guided in the insert bar 8 parallel to the direction of movement of the racks 18, 19, 21, 22 and which has its first end 76 is non-positively and positively connected to a piston of a piston-cylinder unit 77, not designated. The pin 74 presses in the event of actuation of the piston-cylinder unit 77, for. B. by means of compressed air, from a compressed air source, not shown, with its second end 78 against the flank of the border 51 and pushes it in the direction of the axis of rotation 52 of the clamping spindle 14, so that the border 51 comes out of engagement with the hanging edge 53 of the groove 54 and the first end 48 of the printing blanket 10 can be removed (FIG. 3). The binding strip 51 presses against the force of a spring 79, which is designed in the form of a preloaded leaf spring provided with a curvature and can be fastened to one end on a flat 81 of the clamping spindle 14. Is located the flattened portion 81 near the slot 16 of the clamping spindle 14, specifically in the clamping direction, behind the slot 16 of the clamping spindle 14. A plurality of ejection elements 73 and springs 79 can be arranged next to one another in the axial direction 52.

It is also possible to arrange the spring 79 on a holder (not shown) fixed to the channel or to the base plate, so that the spring 79 also presses against one of the flanks of the bordering strip 51. Thus, the end 48 of the printing blanket 10 fastened in the groove 54 of the cylinder pit 1 or the insert strip 8 can be removed effortlessly. In addition, a blanket 10 to be re-mounted on the cylinder 2 is introduced with its border 51 into the groove 54 and pressed against the base of the groove by the force of the spring 79 and held on the hanging edge 53.

The displaceable pins 74 can also be driven by means of a camshaft arranged parallel to the axis of rotation 52 of the clamping spindle 14 in the insert bar 8.
