Definitions
- the invention relates in particular to a plastic container selected with a label field according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- labels are usually used which are applied to the outer surfaces of the containers in which the goods are transported or put on display. Most of the labels are attached to the container surfaces by gluing, because it is assumed that this results in a good adhesive bond.
- labels stuck on smooth surfaces of plastic containers are very difficult to remove from the containers, which is always disadvantageous if the plastic containers are relabeled due to changed labels or other goods to be transported or stored or as a result of transport and / or cleaning the plastic container damaged labels must be replaced.
- the object of the invention is to design a label field which on the one hand ensures a good adhesive bond to the labels and thus prevents unintentional detachment of the labels and on the other hand enables the labels to be easily detached from the plastic container, if this is for the purpose of re-labeling or replacing Labels is desired.
- the label field of the plastic container in particular a bottle crate, is interspersed with a number of openings extending through the wall, which are preferably nozzle-like and in particular designed for supplying rinse water to the label field.
- These are openings with a comparatively small diameter, which allow a passage of flushing water underpressure or under normal pressure, particularly from the inside of the box, to the outside.
- the diameter of the openings is in the millimeter range, in particular in the range from 1 to 9 mm, preferably in the range from 1 to 5, in particular in the range from 1.5 to 4 mm.
- the openings preferably extend from the wall surface facing the interior of the box to the wall outer surface forming the label field.
- the label field is consistently flat and even, that is to say without projections and elevations, and open into the openings of this tarpaulin surface of the label field that penetrate the wall.
- the label field is not flat and planar, but is provided with alternating elevations and recesses, the openings opening into the elevations and / or the recesses.
- the recesses between the elevations here form flushing agent channels, which enable effective backwashing of the adhesive or glued-on label.
- the elevations and recesses advantageously have a regular arrangement and can be formed, for example, by elevations with a uniform geometric contour with a parallel, crossing or meandering orientation, so that a uniform pattern of alternating elevations and recesses is formed.
- the label field is formed by a lamellar structure formed in one piece with the container from alternating elevations and depressions, the elevations and depressions being arranged at a close distance from one another. Openings penetrating the wall are formed in the recesses so that when the plastic container is cleaned, the cleaning liquid flows through these openings into the recesses and can thus backwash the back of the labels in order to detach them.
- These elevations and depressions are expediently formed by a lamellar structure, which are preferably formed by elongated ribs arranged at close spacing from one another and corresponding elongated grooves with a preferably narrow groove width. Ribs and grooves are expediently aligned parallel to one another, a crosswise or other arrangement of the ribs and grooves in a geometric structure also being possible.
- the ridges or ribs are preferably flush with the outer surface of the plastic container so that the ribs and ridges do not protrude. This prevents the labels from being unintentionally detached as a result of rain and the like.
- the expediently very small openings in the grooves or depressions are preferably produced in one piece with the manufacture of the plastic container by injection molding. This can be done using the tool for producing the boxes, which are correspondingly formed with warts or projections.
- the openings expediently widen toward their outer surfaces, which is also important in the sense of the mold being removed from the mold.
- the label field 1 denotes a field on the outer surface of a plastic container, which serves to hold a label, as is usually used for product-specific or manufacturer-specific information about the goods that are transported or stored in the plastic container.
- the label field 1 is formed from a number of closely spaced parallel ribs 2 which delimit correspondingly closely spaced grooves 3 between them.
- the ribs 2 and grooves 3 are of equal length and are evenly spaced from one another, so that overall a lamellar structure is formed, that is to say a structure which is distinguished by closely arranged lamellar ribs and valleys therebetween in the manner of grooves.
- the labels can be attached to these label fields 1 by gluing and the like.
- the lamellar structure ensures sufficient adhesion of the labels, but also allows the labels to be detached more easily when necessary compared to the adhesive bond of labels on smooth outer walls of plastic containers.
- small openings 4 are shown in the valley floor of the grooves 3 in FIG.
- FIG. 3 shows a detail of a groove 3 from the illustration in FIG. 2.
- the through openings 4 are preferably arranged at uniform distances from one another, but can also be arranged in rows offset from one another or in another geometric structure above the labeling field 1.
- the opening 4 in the exemplary embodiment shown is formed from two opening sections, each of which is designed to diverge toward an associated outer side.
- the openings 4 are made in one piece with the manufacture of the plastic container by injection molding, the tool for forming these openings 4 having corresponding warts or projections.
- the through openings 4 allow easy detachment of the labels attached to the plastic container during the cleaning process by flushing water from the inside over the Openings 4 penetrates into the grooves 3 and thus backwashes the label attached to the label field from its back and thereby detaches. Since the ribs 2 are flush with the outer surface of the side wall of the box container, it is prevented that the labels are unintentionally released by rain and the like.
- the labels can also be detached by means of compressed air which is blown from the inside of the box through the openings 4 onto the expediently moistened label.
- the label field 1 is continuously flat and flat and the openings 4 penetrating the wall open into this tarpaulin surface.
- elevations 5 and recesses 6 are provided alternately, the opening 4 opening in the region of the recess 6 in the exemplary embodiment shown.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates in particular to a plastic container selected with a label field according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
To identify the type, content and / or manufacturer of goods, labels are usually used which are applied to the outer surfaces of the containers in which the goods are transported or put on display. Most of the labels are attached to the container surfaces by gluing, because it is assumed that this results in a good adhesive bond. However, labels stuck on smooth surfaces of plastic containers are very difficult to remove from the containers, which is always disadvantageous if the plastic containers are relabeled due to changed labels or other goods to be transported or stored or as a result of transport and / or cleaning the plastic container damaged labels must be replaced.
The object of the invention is to design a label field which on the one hand ensures a good adhesive bond to the labels and thus prevents unintentional detachment of the labels and on the other hand enables the labels to be easily detached from the plastic container, if this is for the purpose of re-labeling or replacing Labels is desired.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features contained in the characterizing part of patent claim 1, expedient developments of the invention being characterized by the features contained in the subclaims.
According to the invention, the label field of the plastic container, in particular a bottle crate, is interspersed with a number of openings extending through the wall, which are preferably nozzle-like and in particular designed for supplying rinse water to the label field. These are openings with a comparatively small diameter, which allow a passage of flushing water underpressure or under normal pressure, particularly from the inside of the box, to the outside. According to a preferred embodiment, the diameter of the openings is in the millimeter range, in particular in the range from 1 to 9 mm, preferably in the range from 1 to 5, in particular in the range from 1.5 to 4 mm.
The openings preferably extend from the wall surface facing the interior of the box to the wall outer surface forming the label field. When the plastic containers are cleaned, a liquid passes through these openings and thus reaches the back of the labels, which are washed away for the purpose of detaching.
In one embodiment, which ensures a very similar bond between the label and the label field, the label field is consistently flat and even, that is to say without projections and elevations, and open into the openings of this tarpaulin surface of the label field that penetrate the wall.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the label field is not flat and planar, but is provided with alternating elevations and recesses, the openings opening into the elevations and / or the recesses. The recesses between the elevations here form flushing agent channels, which enable effective backwashing of the adhesive or glued-on label. The elevations and recesses advantageously have a regular arrangement and can be formed, for example, by elevations with a uniform geometric contour with a parallel, crossing or meandering orientation, so that a uniform pattern of alternating elevations and recesses is formed.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the label field is formed by a lamellar structure formed in one piece with the container from alternating elevations and depressions, the elevations and depressions being arranged at a close distance from one another. Openings penetrating the wall are formed in the recesses so that when the plastic container is cleaned, the cleaning liquid flows through these openings into the recesses and can thus backwash the back of the labels in order to detach them. These elevations and depressions are expediently formed by a lamellar structure, which are preferably formed by elongated ribs arranged at close spacing from one another and corresponding elongated grooves with a preferably narrow groove width. Ribs and grooves are expediently aligned parallel to one another, a crosswise or other arrangement of the ribs and grooves in a geometric structure also being possible.
The ridges or ribs are preferably flush with the outer surface of the plastic container so that the ribs and ridges do not protrude. This prevents the labels from being unintentionally detached as a result of rain and the like. The expediently very small openings in the grooves or depressions are preferably produced in one piece with the manufacture of the plastic container by injection molding. This can be done using the tool for producing the boxes, which are correspondingly formed with warts or projections. The openings expediently widen toward their outer surfaces, which is also important in the sense of the mold being removed from the mold.

In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a field on the outer surface of a plastic container, which serves to hold a label, as is usually used for product-specific or manufacturer-specific information about the goods that are transported or stored in the plastic container. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the label field 1 is formed from a number of closely spaced
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The through
