Definitions
- the invention relates to a slot connection arrangement. for electrical wire intended to be connected to a room conductive in a case.
- connection arrangement comprising a conductive part connection, stripping and retaining slot of wire, immobilized in a housing of a housing made of material insulating.
- the housing has a wire passage opening which extends opposite the slot of the connection piece and an arrangement for positioning a tool specific connection to insertion blade.
- This arrangement consists of a projecting element of the housing comprising a central opening provided to allow penetration of the rigid and movable insertion blade in translation of a specific tool, this blade having to slide along the wire stripping and retaining slot for pushing a wire to be connected.
- Wire must be placed initially transversely to the slot above a mouthpiece this which ensures a guiding of the wire towards the part of retaining soul after ensuring partial elimination of the insulating sheath of the wire.
- the blade is placed against the wire so as to push it transversely into the slot.
- the invention therefore provides a connection arrangement to overcome this drawback by authorizing a initial insertion of the wire other than in front of the opening wire passage provided for him, prior to his final positioning in this opening.
- the invention therefore relates to an arrangement for connection to slot, for electrical wire, in particular for terminal block electrical, in which at least one connecting part, conductive, is immobilized in an insulating box provided a wire passage opening extending opposite a wire stripping and retaining slot which is loaded ensuring the electrical connection of the core of the wire to the part connection and which is formed in a wall of this connecting piece, said wire passage opening allowing the insertion of a wire to be connected transversely above a stripped mouth of the coin slot connection as well as the subsequent immobilization of the wire by the insulating sheath of the latter, the housing comprising also a positioning arrangement, for a external connection to insertion blade, this arrangement being produced in the form of a protruding element into which the insertion blade which, rigid and movable in translation, is intended to slide along the slot of the connecting piece, when inserting the wire.
- the housing has at least one protruding positioning element tool insert with extended tool insertion slot the wire passage opening at one end of which it leads to allow, on the one hand, a possible introduction of the wire into the housing before connection, on the other hand, the penetration of the insertion blade of a tool and sliding along the slot in the workpiece connection, when connecting.
- a slot connection arrangement of a housing which includes a wire passage opening formed in part, forming wire sheath immobilization slot opposite the slot stripping and retaining the connection piece and a part allowing the insertion of a wire to be connected transversely above the stripped mouth of the stripping and retaining slot, this part allowing the insertion of a wire is itself constituted in the form a slit which is wider than the slit wire sheath immobilization which it extends and which continues through the tool insertion slot, oriented perpendicular to it.
- Figure 1 shows a connection arrangement according to the invention in side view.
- Figure 2 provides a view showing the steps successive characteristics of connection of a wire by means a suitable connection tool on a section according to II-II of the arrangement shown in Figure 1.
- Figure 3 shows a top view of the arrangement of connection according to the invention.
- Figure 4 shows a partial sectional view of a connection tool end for arrangement according to the invention.
- connection arrangement presented in Figure 1 is derived from that provided for in document EP-B-0265321, as it has already was indicated above; it is therefore intended to be integrated in electrical equipment 1, of the organ type or apparatus for ensuring the connection of at least one wire electric 2 to this equipment.
- the electrical equipment is a terminal block only half of which has been shown in Figure 2, the other half being symmetrical along a plane median of trace XX 'considered to be perpendicular to the plane drawing.
- Each half of the block is then provided with an arrangement of slot connection comprising a connection piece 3, conductive, designed to receive at least one wire electric.
- the part 3 is likely to be electrically connected to that of the second connection arrangement not shown of the block of junction, as known.
- the part 3 is immobilized in a housing 4 provided for this effect in an insulating box 5 which contains at least partially and here totally electrical equipment 1.
- This case 5 is for example formed by assembling two complementary half-shells as presented here or still with a shell and a lid
- Each piece 3 has a stripping and retaining slot 6 for the conductive core 7 of the wire or wires 2 to be connected, this slot being here rectilinear and opening by a stripped mouth 8 at one of its two ends.
- the slot 6 is provided along a profiled part of the part 3, the latter being for example obtained by a die-cutting leading to its cutting, its folding and possibly localized thinning.
- the profiled part of part 3 here has a section hollow polygonal cross that roughly matches to a U whose free ends have been obliquely and also folded towards each other.
- This profiled part has two end folds 9 which correspond to free ends mentioned above and which border the slot 6 that they delimit.
- Two parallel walls 10, only one of which is shown in Figure 2 each carry a fold 9; they participate in immobilization of the part 3 in its housing 4 with a bottom wall 11 to which they are perpendicular oriented on this piece.
- the stripped mouth 8 of part 3 is here assumed obtained by symmetrical cutting of the plies 9 at one of their two ends, this cut provides a flared mouth allowing successive guidance of the electrical wire to be connected and a sheath cut insulating 12 of this wire.
- the folds 9, the parallel walls 10 and the back wall delimit a cavity which is led to the outside of the housing 5 by a slot 13, blind and said introduction tool, which is positioned in the same area of the housing that the stripped mouth 8, is at the top of the box in Figure 1.
- This slot 13 opens here at an arrangement of tool positioning comprising an element 14 projecting from the part of the housing where it is located, that is to say of the upper part of the housing 5 in FIG. 2.
- the element 14 is rectangular in shape, it is carried out as an extension walls 15, 16 and 17 of the housing 5 and it is partially crossed by the slot 13 which extends parallel to the walls 10 of part 3 and 15, 16 of the housing, above the cavity of this part 3, and which opens onto the face 17.
- This slot 13 is arranged so as to allow inserting a blade 18 of connection tool 19 into the housing 5 and more particularly in the slot 6, on the and other of folds 9, either inside and outside of the part 3 in the vicinity of the slot 6.
- connection tool 19 envisaged is of the type described in the document EP-B-0265321 mentioned above, it will not be therefore not fully described here.
- edges such as 20, which limit the width of the slot 13 and which are intended to allow the attachment of the connection tool 19 provided for this purpose with bulged ends 21 carried by flexible blades 22 which deviate from one another, when the tool is actuated and that the blade 18 protrudes beyond of these flexible blades.
- the positioning of the bulged ends 21 of tool 19 under the edges 20 is favored by the presence of hollows, opening or not, located opposite in the walls that overhang the edges 20, each hollow, not shown here, being arranged to receive a bulged end.
- the housing 5 also has a passage opening of elongated wire 23 which extends opposite the slot 6 of part 3 and beyond.
- This opening 23 is provided to allow the insertion of a wire 2 above the stripped mouth 8 in a position allowing this wire to be introduced transversely into slot 6 and here perpendicular to it, for elimination partial of the sheath 12 of this wire and the jamming of its soul 7; such wire positioning is shown in dotted lines in the middle position in FIG. 2.
- the opening 23 allows also the crossing of wire 2 for its exit out of the case and holding it in position when this wire is connected as provided in connection piece 3.
- the introduction slot 13 of tool opens into the opening 23 opposite which here it is oriented perpendicularly.
- the opening 23 has a first part which is close to the slot 13 and which itself constitutes a slit whose width is greater than the maximum diameter provided for a wire 2 to connect, this width corresponding for example to that of the slot 13, so as to facilitate positioning a wire relative to the stripping mouth 8, before connection.
- the opening 23 also has a second part of rectilinear appearance at the level of which a wire 2 connected is locally immobilized, as symbolized by the drawn wire dotted in the lowest position in Figure 2.
- This second part of rectilinear appearance which is provided for level of the slot 6, is intended to ensure the retention of the wire 2 of which it wedges the sheath 12, when this wire 2 has been pushed into the connection position provided for him by the action of a blade 18 of a connection tool 19.
- At least an auxiliary light and here two auxiliary lights are formed parallel to the second part of pace straight of opening 5 to allow deformation zones of the housing which ensures the wedging of the sheath 12 of a wire, without any modification of dimensions outside of the housing 5, when the sheath of at least one wire 2 is immobilized in this second opening part 5.
- connection of a wire 2 to a connection arrangement is likely to be performed from the already envisaged in document EP-B-0265321, the wire 2 must initially be placed in the case 5 above from the stripped mouth 8 of part 3, as shown in dotted in the middle of figure 2.
- Tool 19 is then positioned on the projecting element 14 which it comes to cap, it includes, for example, a central support area 24 and two lateral centering elements 25, here produced in the form of two extensions, which provide a precise positioning and support of tool 19 on element 14. This results in precise positioning of blade 18 relative to slot 6 of part 3 and bulging ends 21 of the flexible blades 22 relative to the edges 20 of element 14.
- Tool actuation causes the sliding of the blade 18 which comes to protrude between the swollen ends 21 that it spreads one of the other by making them each fit under a ledge and possibly in one of the positioning cavities provided for this purpose at this level.
- the projection of the blade 18 causes its support on the sheath of the wire 2 to be connected, the latter is pushed, on the one hand, into the slot 6 through the stripped mouth 8 by the blade which also enters this slot and, on the other part, in the rectilinear part of the opening 23 which runs along the blade during its sliding.
- the sheath of wire 2 is cut by the folds 9 of the connection piece 3 at the level stripping mouth 8, the core of the wire gets stuck in slot 6, while the sheath gets stuck in the rectilinear part of the opening 5.
- the blade 18 is retracted at the end of the connection action, this which allows the bulged ends 21 to approach one on the other in a sufficient way to be able to pass between the edges 20 of the slot 13 and thus allow removal of the tool 19, once the wire connection performed.
