Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a degreasing device for mechanical parts, in particular mechanical parts for the automotive industry.
  • degreasing it is necessary, after machining or molding certain mechanical parts, to deburr and clean them before mounting or checking them. Such an operation is what is usually called a degreasing. This is in particular to degrease mechanical parts for automobiles, for example engine parts, transmission parts, suspension parts or the like.
  • Degreasing devices comprising a mat, on which the part to be degreased is placed, and a multitude of degreasing stations, arranged linearly along the mat. These washing stations are equipped with nozzles which spray onto the part, which is fixed to the carpet, a degreasing solution under pressure. These devices therefore make it possible to deburr and clean mechanical parts automatically, that is to say without human intervention.
  • this type of degreasing device has a major drawback. Indeed, the faces of the part located against the carpet are not easily reached by the jet produced by the nozzles of the washing stations.
  • a degreasing device for example, provided with a rotary article holder on which the parts which are to undergo treatments are arranged with a view to their degreasing.
  • This article carrier is driven step by step by a drive shaft, so as to have support locations provided on the article carrier in front of several washing stations from which a degreasing solution can be sprayed onto the part under pressure, or in which the part can be soaked in a bath of degreasing solution.
  • the support locations of these devices are provided with locking devices to hold the workpiece in the carrier during the rotation thereof.
  • This device also includes washing systems connected to the blocking device, so that a part held by the blocking device is also held by the washing systems.
  • the rotary article carrier is loaded and unloaded when it is rotated, by presenting a support location opposite a transfer system. The washing systems are then no longer supplied with degreasing fluid in order to avoid wasting fluid.
  • This cleaning line includes a conveyor advancing the pieces step by step and two barrels rotary presenting the parts held in front of washing stations.
  • An indexing device comprises a disc and an arm provided with a roller which cooperates with notches in the disc, the number of which corresponds to the number of workpiece holding locations.
  • the washing means are all external to the rotary barrel.
  • a washing installation comprises a washing machine and a transfer device.
  • This washing machine comprises two rotary barrels, supporting the parts to be treated, driven step by step by a drive shaft so as to present the parts successively opposite a loading and unloading station and, next to the washing.
  • the barrels have workpiece holding locations which each include locking means and washing means.
  • This machine does not include an indexing disc.
  • the present invention aims to overcome this drawback by proposing a degreasing device, in which a mechanical part undergoing a degreasing treatment for all of its faces is precisely maintained in a holding location.
  • Another object of the invention is to propose a degreasing device making it possible to detect the instant at which a holding location is in position at the level of a parts transfer system.
  • the present invention relates to a device for degreasing metal parts comprising a rotary barrel supporting the parts to be treated, driven step by step by a drive shaft so as to have parts holding locations provided on said rotary barrel facing a loading and unloading station for carrying out parts loading and unloading operations, and opposite washing stations at which the parts are treated, each part holding location comprising blocking means intended to hold the parts during rotation the rotary barrel and washing means.
  • the degreasing device comprises an indexing disc driven by the motor shaft and an indexing arm provided with an indexing roller which cooperates with notches in the indexing disc, the number of which corresponds to the number of workpiece holding locations, to adjust the angular position of the rotary barrel during loading and unloading of workpieces, each workpiece holding location has a locking arm provided with a locking roller which cooperates with a yoke locking formed in the indexing arm, to implement and release the locking means which correspond to it, when the indexing roller is inserted in a notch of the disc indexing corresponding to the loading and unloading position of said location.
  • Figure 1 is a simplified view in longitudinal section of the device of the invention.
  • Figure 2 is a front view of the device shown in Figure 1.
  • the degreasing device is generally designated by the reference 1; it is used for deburring and cleaning mechanical parts 2.
  • This degreasing device 1 comprises a rotary barrel 10 to which the parts to be treated are fixed 2.
  • This rotary barrel is rotated by a motor shaft 3 secured to an orientation crown 40.
  • This orientation crown 40 is provided with crown pinions 41 which cooperate with drive pinions 42 of a hydraulic motor 4.
  • the latter drives, by means of the orientation crown 40 and the motor shaft 3, not to rotate step by step, the rotary barrel 10.
  • This barrel 10 has workpiece holding locations 11 4 in number, regularly arranged thereon, and opposite two by two. In order to simplify Figure 2, only the parts holding locations 11-1 and 11-2 and part of location 11-3 has been shown, location 11-4 not being shown. Each location is intended to receive a part 2 which is held by a locking device 100 against positioning pins 120 arranged on a part gripping jaw 130.
  • This degreasing device 1 operates combined with a parts transfer device, and with washing stations (not shown). It will therefore be understood that the number of room holding locations being four in number according to this embodiment, there are three washing stations.
  • the workpiece transfer device comprises, in a known manner, a set of parallel bars on which the workpieces to be treated are placed, which define a workpiece loading and unloading location. These parallel bars are driven by a square movement and a movement by translation, which allows between the phases of rotation of the hydraulic motor 4 to discharge from the rotary barrel a part which has been treated and to replace it by a part which n has not yet been degreased.
  • the hydraulic motor 4 rotates the rotary barrel 10 by approximately 90 ° so as to place this part holding location opposite a washing station at the level at which the part 2 maintained undergoes a degreasing treatment which can be a spraying of degreasing liquid under pressure or a bath.
  • the degreasing device 1 further comprises washing means 110 placed on the locking means 100 which press the part 2 against the positioning pins 120.
  • washing means 110 placed on the locking means 100 which press the part 2 against the positioning pins 120.
  • the pressure exerted on this part 2 is done by means of these means washing 110 which project onto the face of the part located opposite this blocking device a degreasing solution. All the faces of this part can then undergo a degreasing treatment.
  • the pressure exerted by the blocking device being effected by means of the washing means 110, the treatment carried out by these is very effective.
  • the degreasing device 1 comprises an indexing disc 20 parallel to the rotary barrel 10, and fixed to the rotary shaft 3 so as to be driven step by step, as well as a fixed indexing arm 21.
  • the indexing disc 20 includes regularly spaced notches 23, the number of which corresponds to the number of workpiece locations 11.
  • the indexing disc has four notches, each of which corresponds to a workpiece holding location.
  • the indexing arm 21 has at one end an indexing roller 22 as well as a locking yoke 15. It is preferably placed perpendicular to the indexing disc 20, so that its indexing roller 22, movable around an axis 210, rolls thereon. This indexing arm is also articulated around an axis 211 and is actuated at the other end by a hydraulic cylinder 25, between two limit positions 21-1 and 21-2.
  • the indexing disc 20 preferably comprises wear plates 24 which are placed in the bottom of the notches 23.
  • the degreasing device 1 further comprises a sensor 5 placed near the disc indexing 20 and directed towards it, so that it detects the passage of the wear plates 24. From then on, it actuates the hydraulic cylinder 25 which causes the indexing arm 21 to tilt to place the roller d indexing 22 in the notch 23.
  • the indexing disc 20 being fixed to the motor shaft 3, it makes it possible to very precisely fix the angular position of the latter.
  • the hydraulic motor 4 by its structure, generates uncertainties in positioning the rotary barrel 10 of the order of a millimeter.
  • the indexing roller 22 when it is inserted into the notch 23 makes it possible to correct these uncertainties and to position very precisely, that is to say to the nearest tenth of a millimeter, the angular position of the disc. indexing 20 and therefore of the rotary barrel 10.
  • Each part holding location 11 further comprises a locking arm 12, parallel to the motor shaft 3, provided at one end with a locking roller 13 movable around an axis 14.
  • This locking arm 12 is also articulated around an axis 16 at the other end. Between these two ends, this arm is advantageously bent. It is located in the location of parts 11, so that when this is located opposite a loading and unloading station, the locking rollers 13 are inserted in the locking yoke 15.
  • the indexing roller 22 is moved by the piston 25 so that it engages in the notch 23, the locking yoke 15 exerts on the locking roller a moment which tends to rotate the locking arm 12 around its articulation 16. This movement imparted to the locking arm causes the locking means 100 to move so as to hold a part.
  • the degreasing device 1 also preferably includes a locking holding disc 17 parallel to the indexing disc 20, but fixed in rotation.
  • This locking retaining disc 17 has a diameter such that when the rotary barrel 10 is rotated by the motor shaft 3, which causes the release of the roller 13 from the locking yoke 15, it receives this locking roller 13 so as to maintain the position of the locking means 100.
  • the parts are held in the part holding locations 11 throughout the step-by-step rotation of the rotary barrel 10.
  • the locking retaining disc 17 has an opening 18 located opposite the transfer device, and in particular the loading and unloading stations. When the workpiece locking roller 13 is presented at this opening 18, it returns to its initial position, which then returns the locking means 100 to their initial position. The part is then unlocked and can then be unloaded at the loading and unloading station.
  • the drive shaft 3 comprises a rotary casing 30 intended to supply degreasing fluid to the rotary barrel 10.
  • This casing comprises at a first end 7 located near the hydraulic motor 4, a valve (not shown) intended for the fluid supply to the device.
  • This device further comprises a set of arms 50, the number of which corresponds to the number of workpiece holding locations 11 which are connected to the casing 30, at a second end 8. These arms 50 supply via the rotary casing 30 the washing devices 110. According to this mode of embodiment of the invention, the arms 50 are four in number.
  • the assembly constituted by the drive pinions 42 and the slewing ring 40 is closed in a sealed enclosure 6.
  • This enclosure is filled with lubricant, for example oil, so as to bubbling all the pinions.
