- the present invention therefore provides a peristaltic pump comprising a motor body, a cassette with a deformable tube consisting of a housing in which are provided rotating rollers driven by a drive axis of the motor body and which compress said tube which is characterized in that that it comprises a polarizing assembly comprising a plate capable of having either an active position in which the drive axis actuates the rotary rollers, or a rest position in which the rotary rollers are fixed and at least one finger disposed on the lower part of the cassette capable of passing the tray from the rest position to the active position.
- the motor body or pump body comprises at least one groove while the plate comprises at least one slide capable of transverse movement, the engagement of the slide in the groove causing the blocking in the rest position, at least one finger of the housing acting on the slide so as to produce its displacement and to allow passage of the plate from one of its positions to the other;
- the slide is connected to at least one elastic element which recalls it towards the position of engagement in the groove of the pump body;
- a finger of the cassette comprises an inclined plane intended to act on the slide to move it away from the position of engagement in the groove of the pump body;

- the end of the cassette 1 comprises an inlet end 37 and an outlet end 38 through which the deformable tube 25 passes.
- Housing 22 is provided on the housing 31, in the vicinity of the end pieces 37, 38 to receive infrared detectors which serve to detect the possible passage of air bubbles in the windows 24.
- the position of the housing 22 also ensures a polarizing effect .
- Figure 4 illustrates another element of the keying assembly. D. it is the plate 2 and side slides. As shown, the plate 2 has a flat upper face 33, a cylindrical lateral flank 34 having a central opening 35 for the passage of the motor shaft which is guided in a barrel 30 of the plate 2. The plate 2 comprises on its face upper plane 33 of the side windows 26 intended for the passage of the fingers 23 of the cassette 1.
- the slides 28 are arranged near the barrel 30 on the lower surface of the plate 2 and their function will be indicated below.
- Spikes 29 intended to improve the fixing of the plate 2 are arranged opposite with respect to the barrel 30.
- the plate 2 has on the cylindrical lateral flank 34 notches 36 intended to allow the passage of a slider 3.
- Each slider 3 has an opening 11 and is connected to at least one elastic element 27.
- Figure 5 shows on the left side the plate 2 with the slide 3 disposed in a groove 5 of the pump body 4.
- the slide 3 is away from the slide 28, the elastic elements 27, for example springs having left the notches 36 of the cylindrical lateral flank 34.

- the tube guide 16 comprises two cylindrical elements 39, 40 allowing the circulation of the liquid.
- the male part 41 engages in one end of the flexible pipe 25.
- the female part 42 is intended to receive an external pipe and the male part 41 secures the flexible pipe 25 in the corresponding end piece 37, 38.
- the two cylindrical elements 39, 40 are integral and comprise at least one claw 43 to allow their attachment to the cassette 1.
- the tube guide 16 can be made of silicone-based material, it ensures stability of the tubes in front of the optical detectors which are used to check the presence of bubbles in the tubing and a seal of the deformable tube 25.
- Figure 9 is a section of the end of the cassette 1 illustrating the connection between the flexible pipe and the pipe (s) connected to the patient or liquid to be infused.
- an upper boss 48 is provided on the upper part 45 of the end of the cassette, while the lower part 46 of the end of the cassette has a lower boss 49. 47 designates the part of pipe subjected to the crushing of the rollers.
- the slide 3 In the rest position, the slide 3 is located in the groove 5 of the pump body 4 and the elastic elements 27 connected to said slide 3 are housed in the slide 28 contiguous to the barrel 30 of the plate 2. In this position the assembly is inactive and is therefore at rest.
- the cassette 1 is introduced on the axis 10 of the pump motor, the inclined plane 8 of the finger 23 of the cassette 1 causes the slide 3 to slide in the plate 2 by friction on the inclined plane 7 of the slide 3. This results in the release of the plate 2 when the slide 3 is completely removed from the groove 5 of the pump body 4. It is easily understood that when there is no cassette 1, the plate 2 is held in position rest and is not likely to take an active position ' . After the tray 2 has been released, the cassette 1 drives the tray 2 down. The slide 3 slides on the inclined plane 6 of the pump body 4.
- the slide 3 moves laterally and is arranged in the notch 9 of the finger 23 of the cassette 1. This results in a mechanical connection between the plate 2 and the cassette 1.
- the drive shaft 10 rotates the rollers 15 which act on the deformable tube 25 to convey the liquid contained in said deformable tube 25.
- the shape of the rollers 15 is not critical. Any suitable cylindrical shape can be used for the rollers 15, barrel-shaped elements can also be provided.
- the drive of the rollers 15 by the drive shaft 10 is only possible when the plate 2 is in the active position. Only the cooperation of the plate 2 with the cassette 1 which corresponds to it allows the plate 2 to be placed in the active position.
- the slider 3 has indeed an opening 11 and the cassette l a boss 12 on the finger 23. Depending on the position of this opening 11 and that of the boss 12 of the finger 23, the slider 3 can enter or abut on a cassette 1.
- the invention is not limited to the embodiments shown and described in detail and various modifications can be made without departing from its scope.
