Abstract

A rectangular frame (1) forms the base for the folding roof. A fixed cylinder (4) is located centrally on one transverse side of the frame. Starting from there are a plurality of roof supports (10) (roof arches) which bear a tarpaulin (12). Folded together, all the roof supports (10) are disposed adjacently in parallel in the region of the frame (1), the tarpaulin (12) hanging down between them. With the aid of two pivoting arms (23), one half of the roof supports is adjusted in each case in the manner of a fan towards the one side or towards the other side, the tarpaulin becoming taut so that in total a full circle is covered. In the region of the cylinder, the roof supports are connected by jointed strips (20) which are placed around the cylinder when the roof supports have been spread. The folding roof can be installed in a stationary manner or can be mounted on a vehicle, for example a beverage truck. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a folding roof with the feature according to the preamble of claim 1. In such a folding roof, a tarpaulin is carried by a plurality of roof racks which are articulated and which can be adjusted radially in the manner of a fan, the Cover the tarpaulin over a circle or part circle, and which can also be swung together next to each other like a fan, whereby the tarpaulin folds.

In a known folding roof of the aforementioned type (FR-PS 1.238 034), the beams consisting of rods must be clamped in their radial position by discs in the central area in order to achieve a load-bearing capacity.

The invention has for its object to design a folding roof of the type in question so that the support groups are unsupported in any angular range without clamping.

This object is achieved by a folding roof with the features of claim 1.

The subclaims have different solution variants or preferred constructive embodiments to the content.

According to the invention, the roof girders, also called bows, are each half-timbered structures with an upper girder, a lower girder and a vertical strut in the central area, whereby they already result in a good load-bearing capacity of an individual girder. The individual carrier groups are twofold on their vertical struts, that is to say, through each other above and below Joint ligaments connected. The hinges are so stable that the vertical forces of the free carrier are transmitted via the hinges to the carrier firmly connected to the cylinder. The horizontal forces are transferred directly to the cylinder due to the plates resting on the hinges. Through these training courses, a roof rack group becomes a self-supporting spatial unit. The support groups can be formed over any angular range.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, each support group is assigned a swivel arm which is articulated to the cylinder with a drive and is articulated with its free end to the outermost free support of a group. The swivel arm can be operated manually or by motor.

135° vorsehen.The invention allows self-supporting support groups to be formed which can be spread over a semicircle with a swivel arm, e.g. for roofing beverage trolleys. In a simplified form you can e.g. For wall brackets or corner brackets, provide the clamping range of the roof rack group over 90 or 135 °.

According to a special variant of the invention, a large folding roof with a complete circular shape is provided with a total of four roof rack groups, each with a pivoting range of 90 °. The individual roof racks can be made relatively long by quartering the circle. This makes it possible to also use larger floor platforms, e.g. To span semitrailers from 12 to 13 meters with a circular roof area.

Furthermore, the invention offers the possibility of the plane-receiving belt of each roof rack inwards training sloping so that a funnel-shaped roof is formed, the water being absorbed centrally. There is also the inclination of the belt from the inside to the outside, resulting in a flat pointed roof. The roof tarpaulin is then preferably supplemented by a curtain.

In the case of a folding roof in the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 to 7, a plurality of roof racks 10 (bow) according to FIG. 1 are provided, each consisting of a lower flange 10a, an upper flange 10b and a vertical strut 10c. The inclined lower flange 10a accommodates a tarpaulin 12 in each case. With the roof fully unfolded, all roof racks are positioned radially over a range of 360 °. The inclination of the lower straps 10a is directed towards the center, so that the tarpaulin 12 has the shape of a flat funnel, and the rainwater is collected towards the center, where it can run off via a central downpipe.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 5, two groups of roof racks are provided, eight racks each, which each extend in a spread state over a semicircle. The roof racks of a group are connected at their vertical struts 10c by an upper hinge band 20 and a lower hinge band 20.

As a supporting structure, a rectangular frame 1 is provided in this embodiment, supported by posts 3 and by a column 2. On a transverse side of the frame in the middle, above the frame 1, the column carries a fixed cylinder 4. There are symmetrical to a center line perpendicularly mounted two shafts 21, each of which a drive 22 is assigned.

In the folded position, which shows FIGS. 2 and 3, all roof racks 10 are arranged within the frame 1, parallel in the longitudinal direction. The tarpaulin 12, which extends over all lower chords 10a, hangs down between two roof racks. A central roof rack 10 'is firmly connected to the cylinder 4. The other roof racks on one or the other side of the central roof rack 10 'form a group, connected by an upper hinge band and a lower hinge band 20. In the position according to FIG. 3, the hinge bands each rest on a stop bar 11 of the frame. Each group of roof racks is held by a swivel arm 23 which is fixed in a radial arrangement to a shaft 21 and is attached at its other end to the outermost roof rack 10 ″ via a joint 23a. 2 and 3, all roof racks are secured in the parallel position by a transport lock.

In dieser Stellung liegen die Gelenkbänder 20 am festen Zylinder 4 an.The roof is unfolded by pivoting the swivel arms 23 in the direction of the arrows drawn into the radial position up to outside the frame. This position can be seen in Fig. 4 below. While the fixed roof rack 10 'maintains its position with the center line of the frame, the other free roof racks 10 have assumed the radial positions shown, the tarpaulin 12 being stretched over a semicircle. In this position, the wrist straps 20 rest against the fixed cylinder 4.

In the upper part of Fig. 1, the position of the roof rack in the course of the pivoting movement of the pivot arm 23 is shown.

The shafts 21 are rotated manually by means of the drives 22 or by means of a motor drive.

Einzelheiten der Gelenkbänder ergeben sich aus Fig. 5 und 6.Details of the hinges can be found in FIGS. 5 and 6.

A plate 20a is welded to the top and bottom of each strut 10c. Two adjacent plates are connected by welded hinges 20b.

Fig. 7 shows a folding roof according to the invention on a sales cart 5. The frame 1 is mounted on the side walls. Jedem Führungsrohr ist ein Federmechanismus 49 zugeordnet, der bewirkt, daß beim Zusammenschwenken der Dachträger die Führungsrohre die Plane 45 nach oben falten.9 and 10 show a folding roof according to the invention over a sales car 40. Two groups of roof racks are provided, each lying in a parallel state above the sales car, as shown in dashed lines in FIG. 10 shown, and which can be spread over 180 ° by means of swivel arm 44, so that there is a total of a full circle above the sales car. The roof carriers 43 each consist of an outwardly inclined upper flange 43a, a horizontal lower flange 43b and a strut 43c. A tarpaulin 45 is received by the top chord 43a, so that a flat, pointed roof results. The tarpaulin 45 can be extended all around by a curtain 46, which is fixed on the bottom by weights 47. Between two roof racks 43, guide tubes 48 are each arranged radially, they are connected to the flat material and are mounted on the hinges. A spring mechanism 49 is assigned to each guide tube, which causes the guide tubes to fold the tarpaulin 45 upwards when the roof racks are pivoted together.

Die zusammengeschwenkten Dachträger 51a liegen parallel an der Wand, die gespreizten Dachträger jede Gruppe erstrecken sich über 90°.In the embodiment according to FIG. 11, the folding roof spans a semicircle on a wall. The roof beams 51 are based on a semicircular wall bracket 50. Two groups of roof racks are provided, each with a swivel arm 52. The roof racks 51a pivoted together lie parallel to the wall, the spread roof racks of each group extend over 90 °.

Gespreizt spannen sie über einen Winkelbereich von 135° insgesamt die Plane über 270° auf.12 shows a folding roof according to the invention on a corner bracket 53. The roof racks 54 form two groups, each with a swivel arm 55. When they are pivoted together, they each lie in parallel on a wall, as shown at 54a. Spread over an angular range of 135 °, they cover the tarpaulin over 270 °.

Claims (8)

  1. Folding roof in which an awning is held by several roof poles (10; 33; 43, 53) forming groups, the roof pole (10', 33') of one group being fixedly mounted to a vertical cylinder (4, 32) or a partial cylinder (50, 53) and the other roof poles being articulated to each other and to the fixed roof pole in such a manner that the group of roof poles can be positioned in a fan-shaped manner in a spread position in which the awning is stretched and in a position parallel to each other in which the awning is folded, characterised by the following features:
    - the roof poles (10; 33; 43; 53) are in each case frame-work constructions with a vertical strut (10c; 43c), a horizontal flange (10b; 43b) and a flange (10a; 43a) with gentle slope carrying the awning (12, 45);
    - to each strut there are fixedly welded an upper plate (20a) and a lower plate which in the spread position is supported at the cylinder (4; 32) or partial cylinder (50; 53);
    - the plates are connected to each other by hinges (20b).
  2. Folding roof as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that a pivot arm (23) is associated with each group of roof poles, which emerges in the region of the cylinder from a shaft (21) comprising a drive and is at its free end connected to the outmost poles of the group by means of a hinge (23a).
  3. Folding roof as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the flanges (10a) of the poles receiving the awning (12) are inclined towards the cylinder.
  4. Folding roof as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the flanges (43a) of the poles receiving the awning (45) are inclined outwardly.
  5. Folding roof as claimed in claim 1, characterised by two groups of roof poles (10) which lie in the region of a rectangular outline when pivoted together and which extend in each case over a semicircle when they are spread.
  6. Folding roof as claimed in claim 1, characterised by four groups of roof poles (43), two of which extend in each case over the half of an elongated rectangular outline when pivoted together and complement each other to form a full circle by being spread over 90°.
  7. Folding roof as claimed in claim 5, characterised in that guide pipes (48) are arranged radially between two roof poles sloping outwardly which fold the awning by lifting when pivoting together the roof poles by means of spring mechanisms (49).
  8. Folding roof as claimed in claim 1, characterised by a support (50) which is semicircular in a top view and has two groups of roof poles (51) which each are spreadable by 90°.
