Description

The invention relates to a portable hall of the type outlined in the preamble of the main claim, as used in particular for rides, e.g. Carousels or adventure lanes, is suitable.

From the German patent specification 27 24 427 such a portable hall with a rectangular floor plan emerges, as is preferably used for auto scooter tracks.

This hall construction is less suitable for tracks that have a floor plan that deviates from the rectangle, e.g. have a polygonal or round floor plan. For such rides, in particular carousels, in which the vehicles move on a circular path, structures for transportable roofs that can be quickly assembled and disassembled with little personnel have not yet become known.

The German utility model 1827176, Fig. 9, shows how you can quickly build a hall with a circular floor plan with individual cars arranged in a circular arc shape, each of which has a circular segment-shaped roof part. Transporting these hall segments, which are formed by a large number of wagons, is likely to be difficult. In addition, the hall is closed along its circumference, which is particularly undesirable in a ride such as a carousel. This construction is therefore absurd for the task at hand.

Australian patent specification 510483 already contains one for leisure purposes, e.g. for a swimming pool, certain hall known, the roof supported by a pillar and at least one support in the assembled state has a circular floor plan and can be folded into a narrow package for transport purposes.

This roofing would in principle be suitable for the purpose mentioned at the beginning. Because of their laterally arranged support to which the roof trusses are articulated, either several people or hoists are required for construction, which is not practical for economic and organizational reasons in the case of rides for which the transportable hall is intended.

A simpler construction is ensured by the fact that, as is proposed in the present invention, the load-bearing support column is not arranged laterally but centrally.

Another important requirement for transportable halls is that they take up as little loading space as possible during transport, i.e. they can be folded into a narrow package.

In the Australian patent 510483 mentioned above, the pivot bearings of the roof trusses are arranged in a circle. As a result, the distance between the roof trusses folded into a package is greater than in the middle. Since there are other construction elements in the space between the folded roof trusses, e.g. the edge trusses have to be accommodated, this construction does not yet lead to an optimal use of space.

This object is achieved according to the present invention in that the vertical column has at its upper end radially projecting rigid support arms with bearings, preferably pivot bearings, to which radially extending roof trusses are attached, the outer ends of which are connected to detachable edge trusses, the arms and the roof trusses are dimensioned so that the swivel bearings are on an oval and the end points of the edge trusses swung out in the extension of the arms are on an arc, and the column is at the common center of the oval and the arc. With this construction, the remaining spaces between the pivoted roof trusses are roughly the same size, and the available loading space can be used optimally.

This construction, like those according to DE-C-2724427, is particularly suitable for transport on a vehicle which simultaneously forms the platform or part of the platform of the ride. For this purpose, the edge trusses must be partially unhooked, folded up against the roof trusses, whereupon the roof trusses can be pivoted against each other in such a way that they form two packages extending in the longitudinal direction of the platform. The edge trusses provided here can, in the same way as proposed according to DE-C-27 24 427, consist of individual lattice girders to which the front frame and ceiling parts are pivotably articulated.

In order to reduce the vehicle height for transport purposes, it is furthermore, as is known, expedient to design the support column telescopically and to design it in such a way that it can be extended hydraulically. Depending on the dimensions of the roof structure, supports that are distributed over the circumference can be attached and removed during transport.

The basic structure of the hall construction according to the invention, as is required, for example, for an amusement ride with an approximately circular floor plan, is illustrated with FIGS. 1 and 2.

The entire roof is supported by a platform 1, which is expediently part of a chassis, not shown.

In the middle of this platform 1, a central column 10 is fixedly mounted, the upper part 11 of which, in the illustrated embodiment, telescopically e.g. can be raised with a hydraulic system.

Attached to the upper part 10 of this telescopic column are the roof trusses 20 and 30, which extend radially in the assembled state of the hall. At their outer ends, the radially running roof trusses have a binder ring formed from edge trusses 40 to 45, which on the one hand serves to stiffen the roof and on the other hand carries the decorative front frames 44 and ceiling parts 45. Depending on the dimensions of the roof, the further stiffening can serve for releasable stiffening struts 27 between the roof trusses 20 and 30.

The entire roof structure is covered from above with a roof skin 2, which is clamped between the upper edges of the edge truss 40 and a ridge bar 3 placed centrally on the column 10.

As far as the edge trusses and roof trusses are largely the same size, the roof layout results in a regular polygon, in the exemplary embodiment a pentagon. However, other dimensions are possible within the scope of the invention.

In the case of wide roof trusses, it is advisable to support their free ends against the ground using supports 4. 2, these supports 4 are provided at the ends of the diametrically opposite supports 30 and thus, in addition to the column 10, establish a firm connection between the platform 1 and the roof.

The structural details are better illustrated with the enlarged detailed representations according to FIGS. 3 to 7. The constructive connection shown here between the roof trusses 20 and 30 and the column 10 or its upper part 11 presupposes that lattice girders are used as roof trusses, which have proven particularly useful for such constructions due to their great resilience and low weight. These lattice girders have upper and lower beams 21, 22 and 31, 32, which are connected to one another via lattice struts 24 and 35, respectively.

The upper part 11 of the column 10, as can be seen above all from the top view in FIG. 6, has radially projecting rigid support arms 12, 12 ' ; 13, 13 ' and 16 and 17 provided. The support arms formed from the arm pairs 12, 12 'and 13, 13' have at their outer ends only articulated bolts 14, 15 indicated by a line and are dimensioned such that the roof trusses 20 with their inner ends between the support arm pairs 12, 12 ' and 13, 13 'are inserted and can be pivoted by means of the hinge pins 14, 15, which in this case pass through the hinge bores 23.

The shorter support arms 16 and 17, to which the trusses 31 running in the longitudinal direction of the platform are rigidly attached, are somewhat different in the exemplary embodiment. For this purpose, the arms 16 and the roof trusses 30 are provided with mutually assigned through bores 16a, 16b and 17a, 17b and 33, 34, through which screw bolts, not shown, are passed. As the top view in FIG. 8 illustrates in detail, the other roof trusses 20 are pivoted laterally symmetrically to these rigid roof trusses.

In order to make optimum use of the available loading space, it is necessary or at least expedient if the gaps remaining between the roof trusses 20 and 30 pivoted in accordance with FIG. 1 are of the same size. In order to meet this requirement, the hinge pins 14 and 15 are arranged on an oval, the oval longitudinal axis LA extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the platform and the oval transverse axis QA extending in the longitudinal direction of the platform.

In the spaces delimited by the roof trusses 20 and 30, the edge trusses combined with the components 40 to 45 have space if they are constructed as explained in detail in DE-PS 2724427. Essentially, these edge trusses consist of a grid part 40 standing vertically like the roof trusses, to which a front frame carrier 43 is articulated via struts 41 and 42, which supports the externally suspended front panels 44 and the downward-facing ceiling panels 45. In this construction, the struts 41 to 43 can be pivoted towards the edge truss 40 when the front frame 44 is folded up, whereupon they are then covered by the ceiling part 45 to be folded up. The narrow packets formed in this way, of which only the components 40, 41 and 45 are illustrated in FIG. 8, find a place in the spaces mentioned.

The connection between the edge trusses 40 and the rigid roof trusses 30 on the one hand and the pivotable roof trusses 20 on the other hand is illustrated by the detailed representations according to FIGS. 3 and 4. According to FIG. 3, edge trusses 40 are pivotally attached to the outer ends of the roof trusses 30 on both sides via fixed joints 36.

At their other ends, not shown, the edge binders 40 have releasable joints which, for example, can be designed like the joint in the upper part of FIG. 4. Such releasable Joints consist of a pull-out hinge pin 26 which passes through corresponding hinge holes in the edge truss and roof truss.

On the other side at the free end of the pivotable roof truss 20, an edge truss 40 is pivotably attached by means of a non-releasable hinge pin 25.

Otherwise, the joints can be designed as shown in FIG. 5 in the area of the inner ends of the edge ties 20. The facing ends of the edge truss 40 must, as the top views in FIGS. 3 and 4 show, be designed and mounted in such a way that an unimpeded pivoting of the edge truss is made possible during assembly and disassembly.

When dismantling the roof structure erected according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the procedure is as follows in order to pack the roof elements up to the loading state illustrated in FIG. 8.

It is assumed that the roof skin 2 with the ridge bar 3 has been removed beforehand.

First of all, the adjoining edge trusses at point A can be detached from each other and from the common roof truss. One of the two edge ties, here the one on the right, is moved outwards in the direction of arrow A and the associated radial tie is moved to the side in the direction of arrow B so that the other edge tie can be folded inwards in the direction of arrow C.

The edge truss parts with their front parts articulated via console supports can be pivoted inwards in the direction of arrow D, as is explained in detail in German patent specification 27 24 427.

The space created between points A and B now allows the remaining edge truss to be pushed together in the direction of arrow E and pushed towards the associated roof truss by pivoting in the direction of arrow F.

After loosening the next edge truss at point B, it can be pivoted towards the associated roof truss by pivoting its console supports in the direction of arrow E and pivoting the edge truss in the direction of arrow H. In the same way, the next edge truss is moved towards the roof truss 30 by pivoting in the direction of the arrows J and K. Now all roof trusses of the first quarter can be moved to the fixed roof truss 30 by pivoting in the direction of arrows N, M and L, so that the first quarter of the package is completed.

In a corresponding manner, the remaining edge trusses and roof trusses are folded together and pivoted towards the rigid roof trusses running in the longitudinal direction of the platform. The fixed auxiliary supports 4 provided at the ends of the roof trusses prevent the roof from rotating in relation to the platform 1 of the transport vehicle.

Since with this construction no roof parts have to be lifted at all, but can only be swiveled or moved, quick assembly and disassembly is possible with only a few personnel.
