Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for fastening panel-like or panel-like cladding elements with heat-insulating properties on a building wall, in particular on the outside of the building wall, the cladding elements on their rear side facing the building wall having a rigid foam layer, in particular made of polyurethane, which is firmly connected to them is glued to the building wall.
  • a building with thermal insulation it can be clad with heat-insulating cladding elements.
  • the cladding elements are provided with a soft foam layer, this can adapt to the building wall and nestle so that cavities are avoided.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the object of creating a method of the type mentioned which, with simple use, results in a secure and permanently stable adhesion of the cladding elements to the building wall without the risk of cavity formation.
  • This object is achieved in that when the cladding elements are still separated from the building wall, their soft foam layer is soaked at least essentially over their entire volume with a low-viscosity adhesive, after which the cladding elements are pressed against the building wall in the wet state of the soft foam layer while compressing the soft foam layer allows the adhesive to dry or cure, so that the soft foam layer not only sticks to the building wall, but also becomes dimensionally stable and inelastic due to the cured adhesive.
  • the adhesive is therefore not only applied to the surface, but practically spread over the entire soft foam layer. This results in an overall wet state in which it is more compact, so to speak, and wet and soft. If you hold such a cladding element against the building wall, you only need one to apply low pressure in order to obtain a tight fit everywhere.
  • the soft foam layer soaked in the adhesive remains in its resulting position without springing back or the like. is to be feared. If the adhesive then becomes dry, it stabilizes the soft foam layer over its entire volume, so that it becomes permanently dimensionally stable. Therefore, changes can no longer occur in the wall cladding, so that the risk of cracks in the plaster, as mentioned above, is also avoided.
  • a suitable adhesive is at the discretion of the person skilled in the art.
  • water glass can be used.
  • an aqueous, low-viscosity adhesive is advantageous.
  • a fire protection agent can also be added to the adhesive, so that improved fire protection is obtained at the same time.
  • a cladding 2 serving as full heat protection is applied, which is composed of rectangular, essentially plate-shaped or panel-shaped cladding elements 3.
  • the cladding elements 3 are designed in the illustrated case so that they can be joined together with the respectively laterally adjacent cladding element by means of a plug-and-socket connection. For this purpose, they have a groove 5 on one of their vertical edges in the position of use, in the drawing on the longitudinal edge 4, and a groove 5 on the opposite longitudinal edge 6. 2, a laterally adjacent cladding element is indicated by dash-dotted lines. It goes without saying that, depending on the size of the building wall 1, the cladding elements 3 are also arranged vertically one above the other.
  • the cladding elements 3 shown have heat-insulating properties and, for this purpose, can have a heat-insulating core 8 made of heat-insulating material that essentially makes up almost the entire cladding element.
  • a foam of appropriate density and consistency as is customary as a thermal insulation material.
  • polyurethane in brittle form is very suitable, and polystyrene can also be used.
  • the outside of the cladding elements 3 is formed by an outer skin 9 which is applied to the insulation core 8 and which, in the case of a clad building wall 1, can be directly the outside of the wall and thus the visible side facing the viewer.
  • plastering can also be applied to the wall covering formed by the covering elements 3.
  • the cladding element 3 or its insulating core 8 is provided with a soft foam layer 10 firmly connected to it.
  • this layer 10 forms an intermediate layer 11 between the building wall 1 and the insulation core 8.
  • the soft foam layer 10 has an elastic behavior which is similar to that of the soft foam and resembles that of a foam rubber. It suitably consists of accordingly soft polyurethane.
  • the cladding elements 3 are glued to the building wall 1 with their soft foam layer 10.
  • the soft foam layer 10 is soaked with a low-viscosity adhesive before it is attached, so that it is provided with the adhesive over practically its entire volume. Then you press the cladding element against the building wall, so that it is glued there.
  • the soft foam layer is compressed and, due to its flexibility, clings to all unevenness of the wall, so that any unevenness in the wall is filled and cavities impairing the thermal insulation are avoided. Since the soft foam layer is wet due to the adhesive composition applied to it, it clings to the unevenness of the wall even better than when it is dry.
  • a cladding element 3 fastened in this way remains immovably in place, so that, for example, no step formation between adjacent cladding elements can occur, which continues to occur yielding elastic flexible foam layer due to springing over time could result.
  • Water glass for example, can be used as the adhesive.
  • Other additives which promote the properties of the cladding element can also be added to the adhesive, in particular a fire protection agent.
  • outer skin 9 could also be missing in the trim elements 3.
  • Other modifications could also be implemented that lie away from the soft foam layer and its attachment to the building wall.
  • the soft foam layer 10 and the rest of the trim element, i. H. in the embodiment of the insulation core 8, are connected to each other by foaming. However, they could also be glued to one another or otherwise connected to one another.
  • the soft foam layer 10 covers the entire cladding element 3, so that no joints occur when the cladding elements are joined together.
  • the insulation core 8 could also consist of another material with heat-insulating properties, such as cork, wood, etc.
