Definitions
- the invention relates to a flotation cell with at least one injector according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a flotation cell with at least one injector according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a cell is known from EP-A 0277327.
- the screen is located within a feed tube of the flotation cell for the suspension, specifically at the beginning of a mixing tube section this supply line.
- Shortly after the orifice - that is to say downstream - air supply slots are provided in the mixing tube section, and distributed over its circumference.
- practically only one arrangement makes sense in which the openings (holes) of the diaphragm are close to the circumference of the same. This is not a very effective arrangement.
- Attempts have also already been made to increase the small throughput of the orifice described by an arrangement with a multiple injector according to DE 36 34 903.
- the way of working is accompanied by insufficient effectiveness due to the distribution among the different injectors - each of which is designed with its own mixing tube.
- the object of the invention is to provide a flotation device with an injector which operates at very high throughput quantities, i.e. Air bubbles distributed in a sufficient amount in the suspension.
- Each hole of the diaphragm is preferably assigned its own premix tube section in order to achieve the best possible air intake. This high amount of air should be mixed well with the suspension due to high turbulence in the premixing tube.
- FIG. 1 shows in principle a cross section through a flotation cell with the injector according to the invention
- FIG. 3 shows a top view of the latter and in particular the diaphragm
- FIG. 4 shows another diaphragm arrangement.
- the flotation cell according to FIG. 1 has a housing 20 which is essentially oval in cross section and into which an injector 1 is inserted eccentrically - ie in the vicinity of a narrow side thereof - which ends approximately 50-100 cm below the suspension level.
- This level is set by means of a weir 22 which can be adjusted by means of the adjusting rod 25 and over the overflow edge of which the foam containing dirt flows out into the foam channel 21 together with a certain proportion of the suspension.
- the suspension is preferably gassed with air.
- the vertical feed pipe 6 of the injector has an orifice 2 which is provided with through-openings in the form of round holes 3 which are distributed uniformly over the circumference of the orifice (see FIG. 3).
- each hole 3 is followed by a pipe section 7 of small diameter, which serves as a premixing section.
- the distance between the diaphragm and the pipe section 7 preferably has a value between 0.15 times and 1.5 times the hole diameter.
- the length of the small pipe sections 7 is preferably 4 to 10 times their inner diameter or at least 0.8 times the inner diameter of the mixing pipe section 6 'connected downstream of the orifice, which in turn has approximately the same diameter as the outer diameter of the orifice 2.
- the injector preferably has a continuous tube as the outer wall. However, at its end there is a radial diffuser 4 with a base plate 5, which leaves a gap 15 with respect to the tube 6 ', which is approximately 7-14% of the diameter of the mixing tube 6'.
- the average flow velocity to the orifice can be set at about 2 m / s, so that due to the geometric conditions shown, a flow velocity behind the orifice holes of 12.5 m / s and after the premixing tubes 7 of about 4.5 m / s s results.
- the outflow speed from the radial diffuser 4 is then about 2.2 m / s. But this is just an example.
- the air is sucked in through the pipe sections 7, which act as small injectors, in a pipe section 9 of the supply line, which is connected downstream of the diaphragm. This has at least one air connection 10.
- a valve can be switched on here to control the amount of air sucked in.
- the pipe sections 7 protrude at least 10 mm from the air intake section 9.
- the aperture holes need not be exactly circular, just like that Cross-section of the pipe sections 7, for example a relatively uniform polygon or an ellipse.
- the inside diameter of the small pipe sections should be at least 10% larger than the diameter of the holes in the panel.
- FIG. 4 shows that a different, approximately uniform distribution of the holes in the diaphragm can also be provided as in FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the number of holes in the aperture must be limited to 16, since a larger number of holes has hardly any advantages.

Abstract
