Description

The invention relates to a multi-lane packaging machine for dosing, filling and packaging of pasty products in the food industry, in particular soup paste, with a feed device and associated dosing device, each with dosing elements assigned to the product series.

A multi-lane packaging machine of the type mentioned has become known from the German patent DE-A-38 03 677. This packaging machine has, within a trough, a distribution screw which extends across the width of the product series and in each case paired conveyor screws assigned to the product series, with the aid of which soup paste to be filled is dispensed via the metering device to containers to be filled. Such feeding devices in the form of screw troughs result in a relatively weak product flow, which delivers a satisfactory result with up to four or six adjacent product webs. In the case of multi-lane packaging machines going beyond that, which have about eight, ten, twelve or even more product series, such screw troughs leave something to be desired, since usually a very high mechanical reworking of the products takes place, which not only conflicts with their desired gentle treatment, but also also requires very high energies. In addition, very large flow quantities are necessary until all cavities, such as channels, passages, chambers or the like of the feed device are filled with product when starting up or changing the product. This also means that a comparatively large residual amount has to be removed when changing the product, which also leads to certain disposal problems in packaging machines with a very large number of product series.

Produktwechselzeiten auskommt. The invention has for its object to provide a suitable for dosing, filling and packaging of pasty products, especially soup paste, multi-lane packaging machine of the type mentioned, which can also with a very large number of adjacent product lines, eg. B. more than six product series, characterized by a gentle, uniform and good dosage or packaging of the product and at the same time manages with low commissioning or product change times.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.

Vane pumps of this type are known per se and have been used in the confectionery industry, for example for packaging marzipan.

From DE-A-37 24 456 it has also become known to use a vane pump in a sausage filling machine. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the vane cell pump rotating around a vertical axis is used together with a further pump designed as a gear pump. A spice and ingredient material is transported by the vane pump and meat mass by the gear pump to a stuffing arrangement of the sausage filling machine.

Experiments have now shown that such vane pumps known per se, in particular if they are arranged at a distance from one another in a housing accommodating the product and driven in opposite directions in a packaging machine which operates according to the longitudinal rotor principle, preferably having at least six product webs, for viscous or soft plastic products such as soup paste are particularly suitable. These test results are surprising, since soup pastes in particular have so far only been filled using specially arranged or designed screws or screw troughs.

With the help of the vane pumps arranged according to the invention, the rollers, which are preferably rotatably mounted in the housing and radially therein arranged slots, adjustable ledges in the housing, can now also fill soup paste gently in high-performance packaging machines with preferably more than 165 cycles / min. A meter-dependent control is possible due to the use of vane pumps. The control or adjustment of the strips with the aid of a control device, preferably in the form of a revolving control curve, is relatively easy to implement in such high-performance machines.

It is particularly important for the invention that the rollers near the bottom of the housing are arranged essentially symmetrically to an outlet channel provided in the bottom of the housing, preferably with a funnel-shaped cross section, which is connected to the metering device via an inlet channel, preferably also funnel-shaped in cross section stands.

The direct assignment of the rollers and the metering device results in relatively small residual quantities that have to be removed when changing the product. Likewise, only small lead quantities are required, for example to bring the packaging machine back to production after a product change. Overall, this results in extremely low set-up losses and low disposal problems.

Finally, it is important for the invention that an additional conveying device is arranged within the housing, which, for example for each metering device, has a compensating piston which is essentially vertically adjustable in a guide cylinder fixed to a wall of the housing and extends into the region of the inlet channel of the metering device . With the help of the compensating piston, the delivery of the quantity of product to be measured by the metering device can be controlled and controlled even better. It has proven to be expedient if the compensating piston is arranged between the rollers which are spaced apart from one another and extends through recesses provided in the free ends of the strips of the rollers.

A preferred embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and is explained in more detail below.

In the drawing, a housing 1 is arranged on a multi-lane, for example more than six-lane packaging machine, not shown in detail, for metered filling and packaging of pasty products, such as soup paste, which is delimited on its underside by a base plate 2. On the inside, i.e. H. Within the housing, two vane pumps 3 or rollers 6 are arranged at a distance from one another, while a metering device 4 is arranged on the outside for each product line.

As can be seen from the drawing, the rollers are identical, so that only one is explained in more detail below. The two rollers 6 extend across the width of the housing 1. They are driven in opposite directions around an axis 5 arranged in the lower part of the housing 1. In slots 7 of each roller 6 strips 8 are arranged at a distance from one another, which can be controlled via a control curve 9 indicated by dashed lines in such a way that the product in the container 1 is in each case through the opposite strips of the two rollers 6 from the inlet side 11 to the Outlet side 12 of a feed device 10 is transportable. In the area of each slot 7 of the strips 8, return channels 13 are provided, through which material accumulating at the inner end of each strip 8 can be removed.

Each product series of the packaging machine designed as a longitudinal runner is assigned at least one metering device 4, which in the exemplary embodiment shown has a support body 14, in which an inlet channel 15 which is essentially funnel-shaped in cross section is arranged. This, in turn, is connected to an outlet channel 16 of the housing 1 which has a funnel-shaped cross section. A valve body 18, which rotates about a horizontal axis 17, is arranged symmetrically to the plane between the rollers 6, said valve body selectively connecting the inlet channel 15 to metering elements (cylinder-piston-doser 19) on each side. manufactures. The dosing device 19 has a cylinder 21 and a piston 22 inserted and displaceable therein. While in each case one dosing space of the dosing device 19 located on one side is connected to the inlet channel 15, the dosing space of the other dosing device 19 is connected to an outlet channel 23, via which the product is pushed out into a container (not shown).

Between the two rollers 6, an additional conveyor 24 is arranged, which essentially consists of a guide cylinder 25 fastened to the wall of the container 1 and a compensating piston 26 slidably mounted therein, which is articulated at its upper end to a pivotably mounted lever arm 27 which is pivotable in a manner not shown. The lower end of the compensating piston 26 extends into the funnel-shaped inlet channel 15 of the support body 14 and it has the task of additionally pushing the product into the metering space. So that the compensating piston 26 and the strips 8 of the rollers 6 do not interfere with one another, corresponding recesses 28 are provided in the free ends of the strips 8, through which the compensating piston 26 extends. So that no mutual hindrance of the compensating piston 26 and the control valve 18 occurs, the drive of these two elements is controlled so that no mechanical contact takes place. This can happen, for example, in that the compensating piston 26 is driven twice as fast as the orbital movement of the valve body 18.

It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown, but also allows modifications within the scope of the claims. So it is also conceivable to fill margarine or butter instead of soup paste. However, the cycle speeds of the packaging machine and the number of product lines must be taken into account if necessary.
