Definitions
- the invention relates to a wire section for a paper machine, specifically with the features from the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention is based on the twin wire former known from WO 91/02842.
- Two endless sieve belts form a twin-wire zone there, which can be divided into three sections.
- the two screens run over a curved support surface of a support body, preferably a forming cylinder. There they form a wedge-shaped inlet gap to which the headbox is directly assigned.
- part of the water of the fiber suspension is drained downwards; another part - due to the tension of the top wire - penetrates up through the top wire and is removed by means of negative pressure.
- the drainage pressure is the same in the wrapping area of the screen belts with the forming cylinder.
- both sieve belts run over a further curved support surface of a support body.
- the support body is preferably designed as a forming shoe with a curved surface.
- the support bodies are designed differently, for example as a sieve table with a closed surface or with an opening for the purpose of suction, or as a forming cylinder or as a strip-shaped element.
- the arrangement of the elastically designed blades in relation to the sieve belt supported by the supporting surface and their elasticity are important.
- pressure pulses occur mechanically by means of spindles or pneumatically by means of hoses which rest on the blade body and, due to a change in cross-section, lead to increased bending stress on the blade body and thus to an increase in the contact pressure of the blade body part resting on the screen belt.
- the blade arrangement with the associated adjustment mechanism for changing the contact pressures is characterized by a relatively complicated structure. So essentially only one installation position of the blades is possible.
- the level of the contact pressure depends on the blade properties, especially the elasticity of the blade material. With low contact forces, high blade elasticity and formation of lumps in the fiber suspension, there is a risk of the blade body vibrating.
- the contact pressure and thus the hydraulic pressure in the suspension or the pressure pulse effective in the suspension continue to depend on the blade angle.
- wear on the blade edge leads to a change in the blade angle. This is particularly problematic when the blade edge is worn unevenly across the machine width.
- Another disadvantage of this embodiment is that chunks that are formed from fine material that penetrates through the sieve mesh during dewatering and that can form in front of and behind the blade, into a wedge that is arranged between the blade and the blade by the arrangement of the blade and support surface Support surface is formed, and there damage the sieves.
- the invention is therefore based on the object to develop the possibilities for intensifying the drainage and improving the fibrous web quality by preventing floc formation in the fibrous suspension in a wire section of the type mentioned in such a way that the overall length of the wire section one Paper machine is reduced.
- the disadvantages of the known designs are to be avoided.
- the pressure elements which are designed as strips, squeegees or concave pressure shoes, can extend together or individually over the entire width of the screen. It is also possible to mount these in a tiltable or rotatable manner. Preferably, a plurality of pressure elements are always arranged one behind the other in the direction of the fibrous web and essentially perpendicular to the direction of the fibrous suspension. Furthermore, these can preferably be pressed resiliently onto the inner surface of the screen belt, the contact pressures over time and also under the pressure elements arranged one behind the other for each individual pressure element can be variably adjusted. An arrangement of the pressure elements at an angle to the running direction of the fiber suspension is also conceivable.
- the arrangement of the pressure elements is preferably such that the forces required to press the pressure elements are directed perpendicular to the screen belt. This has the advantage that the full contact pressure can be directed onto the sieve belts as a compressive force.
- the pressure elements are preferably mounted on a support frame that is mounted on the machine frame and can be pivoted away from the support surface.
- the support frame is preferably pivotable about the forming cylinder axis and fastened to the housing of the forming cylinder bearing.
- Figure 1 illustrates a section of a wire section of a twin-wire paper machine.
- the support body 1 is a Forming cylinder 1a. Its jacket can have a closed surface. However, as shown in FIG. 1, it can also be provided with a large number of bores, for example for storing the extruded filtrate or for the purpose of suctioning when two-sided drainage is desired.
- the forming cylinder 1a as the central unit is wrapped around part of its circumference by two endless sieve belts 2 and 3 (wrapping area 4). Along this arc piece on the circumference of the forming cylinder and over a further distance, these sieve belts are guided together and form a twin-wire zone with one another up to a suction roller 5.
- Both sieve belts converge in the immediate vicinity of the headbox 6 via a roller 7 or a cylinder - the sieve belt 2 over the forming cylinder 1a and the sieve belt 3 over a breast roll 7 - so that the two sieve belts form a wedge-shaped inlet gap 8 for the fiber suspension at the beginning of the twin-wire zone.
- the forming cylinder is within the endless screen belt 2 and a device 9, which in the exemplary embodiment consists of a support frame 18 and the resiliently supported pressure elements 10 for transmitting the forces to the inner surface of the screen belt 3 in the looping area with the forming cylinder 1a, is inside the endless screen belt 3 arranged.
- the resiliently supported pressure elements are preferably made as in US Patent No. 5,078,835. They can be designed as a strip 12 (FIG. 2) or as a roller — the pressure element is then preferably a roller doctor blade 14 (FIG. 3). Another possibility is to use a pressure shoe 15 with a concave pressure surface (FIG. 4).
- the resiliently supported pressure elements 10 conduct forces, which are generated, for example, by springs or else pneumatically, onto the inner surface of the screen belt 3 and thus generate, depending on the type of filter used Pressure elements point or line loads on the sieve belt, which lead to turbulence in the fiber suspension between the two sieve belts.
- the pulsations introduced prevent the formation of flakes, and more water is excreted due to the pressure present and the associated change in the fabric tension.
- the part of the outer surface of the forming cylinder which extends over the entire width of the wire in the looping area acts as the counterforce to the compressive force.
- the magnitude of the forces introduced which lead to a certain applied pressure due to the action of the pressure elements 10 on the inner surface of the sieve belt 3, is variable and need not be kept constant over the entire wrap area. Due to the design and arrangement of the pressure elements, the forces act so that pressure-free points remain in the wrapping area of the screen belts with the forming cylinder. Pressure-free areas and the resilient support of the pressure elements are necessary in order to avoid backlogs in the fiber suspension caused by possible agglomeration of the fibers.
- the force is preferably applied radially to the forming cylinder axis; however, the possibility of force introduction is also provided in which only one component of the force acts radially to the forming cylinder axis (FIGS. 5 and 6). These figures also illustrate the possibility of using hybrid molds.
- the endless screen belt 3 wraps around a wire screen arrangement, on which the fiber suspension is conventionally pre-dewatered - preferably by guiding the screen belt over strips 16 - a support body 1 - here in the form of a solid jacket roller - on part of its circumference.
- Another endless screen belt 2 is brought together with the screen belt 3 via a roller 17. in the Wrapping area and over another jointly guided route not shown here, the two sieve belts form a twin-wire zone.
- the tangential component F t counteracts the rotating movement of the solid jacket roller as a frictional force.
- the action of the pressure elements 10 leads to an increase in the dewatering already caused by the centrifugal forces occurring during rotation.
- the endless sieve belts 2 and 3 form a twin-wire zone.
- resiliently supported pressure elements 10 which are designed as rotatably or tiltably mounted strips, ie the strips are not stored directly at their ends, but in a region of their length.
- the strips are connected to a fixed bearing via a joint between the strip ends.
- a force acts, for example generated by springs. Due to the lever law, it causes an equal counterforce at the end of the other lever arm.
- the component F r of this counterforce F acting radially to the forming cylinder axis is the compressive force acting directly on the inner surface of the belt.
- the force distribution and effect of the individual force components is carried out analogously to the arrangement shown in FIG. 5.
- FIG. 1 The one shown in FIG. 1 is preferably used as a way of storing the pressure elements.
- the entire device 9 is located within the sieve belt loop 3, the pressure elements 10 are mounted on a swiveling support frame 18, which is supported on the machine frame.
- Another possibility is to mount the pressure elements on a support frame 19, which is preferably attached to the housing 20 of the forming cylinder axis bearing.
- Figures 7 and 7.1 show the storage in two views.
- the pressing of printing elements on a screen belt, which is supported against a support body offers particular advantages especially in the production of multilayer paper, cardboard and also very thin paper, i.e. wherever one-sided drainage is desired.
- the support body must have a closed support surface.
- FIG. 8 shows an embodiment of the invention as it can be used for example for the production of cardboard.
- the part of a wire section shown in this figure consists of two areas, a four-wire and a twin-wire zone.
- Two headboxes are provided for applying the layers, a primary headbox 21 and a secondary headbox 22.
- the fiber suspension in the fourdrinier area of the wire belt 2 is conventionally pre-dewatered - preferably by passing the wire belt over strips 16 and by additional suction.
- the sieve belt 2 then runs in the immediate vicinity of the secondary stock head 22 via an endless belt 1c, which is guided by a plurality of guide rollers 23, with the sieve belt 3, which runs over a roller 7, so that the two sieve belts merge with one another at the beginning of the twin-wire zone form wedge-shaped inlet gap 8 for the fibrous suspension.
- the endless belt 1c is arranged within the sieve belt 2 and supports it its inner surface in the wrapping area of the sieve belt 2 with the belt 1c. At the same time, the belt 1c supports the outer surface of the sieve belt 3 in the wrapping area of this belt with the belt 1c.
- the device 9 which consists of the support frame and the pressure elements, is arranged within the screen belt 3 so that the surface of the belt 1c acts as a counter pressure surface for the pressure elements.
- the drainage takes place on one side in the direction of the pressure elements away from the support surface of the support belt 1c and essentially only by the pressure impulses introduced, because the sieve belts run in this area due to the guidance of the belt 1c over a plurality of guide rollers which cause a straight belt path between the individual guide rollers , almost parallel.
- the pressure impulses introduced which cause turbulence in the fiber suspension, also prevent flocculation of the individual fibers.
- the two screen belts are separated from one another on the roller 24.
- the arrangement of support bodies / pressure elements can be varied in their embodiment for the respective application.
- a series of arrangements of support bodies and pressure elements is possible.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a wire section for a paper machine, specifically with the features from the preamble of claim 1.
The invention is based on the twin wire former known from WO 91/02842. Two endless sieve belts form a twin-wire zone there, which can be divided into three sections. In the first section, the two screens run over a curved support surface of a support body, preferably a forming cylinder. There they form a wedge-shaped inlet gap to which the headbox is directly assigned. In the area of the forming cylinder, part of the water of the fiber suspension is drained downwards; another part - due to the tension of the top wire - penetrates up through the top wire and is removed by means of negative pressure. The drainage pressure is the same in the wrapping area of the screen belts with the forming cylinder.
In the second section, there are several resiliently supported strips on the lower sieve, and between them in the upper sieve there is a firmly supported strip. In the third section, both sieve belts run over a further curved support surface of a support body. The support body is preferably designed as a forming shoe with a curved surface.
Forces are guided to the inner surface of the bottom wire via the resiliently supported strips in the second section. They cause linear loads which, due to minimal cross-sectional changes in the flow of the fibrous suspension at high working speed, cause turbulence in it and prevent floc formation.
The combination of already known features in this three-part arrangement ensures a relatively good paper web quality with regard to bilateralism, transparency and uniformity of the formation. However, the quality requirements have increased in this regard, so that further improvements are desirable, which should also be possible with a simpler configuration of support elements. A disadvantage of the known arrangement proves that the inner surface of the top wire is subject to wear and tear due to the relative movement between the top wire and the rigid strips. The series of different support bodies in the individual sections I, II and III also has a considerable overall length due to the stringing together.
From EP 0 516 601 A1 it is known that to intensify the drainage and to achieve an optimal basis weight distribution as well as to counteract flocculation in the fiber suspension on the sieve belts in the area of the individual support bodies pressure elements in the form of elastically designed blades can be effective. The blades are arranged in such a way that their blade body rests with one part of its surface essentially transversely to the web running direction and presses it against the support body. In the versions described, the blades are only effective as pressure elements, not as water peeling elements.
The support bodies are designed differently, for example as a sieve table with a closed surface or with an opening for the purpose of suction, or as a forming cylinder or as a strip-shaped element.
For the size of the pressure impulses introduced, the arrangement of the elastically designed blades in relation to the sieve belt supported by the supporting surface and their elasticity are important. A change in the size of the In the described embodiments, pressure pulses occur mechanically by means of spindles or pneumatically by means of hoses which rest on the blade body and, due to a change in cross-section, lead to increased bending stress on the blade body and thus to an increase in the contact pressure of the blade body part resting on the screen belt. The blade arrangement with the associated adjustment mechanism for changing the contact pressures is characterized by a relatively complicated structure. So essentially only one installation position of the blades is possible. The level of the contact pressure depends on the blade properties, especially the elasticity of the blade material. With low contact forces, high blade elasticity and formation of lumps in the fiber suspension, there is a risk of the blade body vibrating. The contact pressure and thus the hydraulic pressure in the suspension or the pressure pulse effective in the suspension continue to depend on the blade angle. However, wear on the blade edge leads to a change in the blade angle. This is particularly problematic when the blade edge is worn unevenly across the machine width.
Another disadvantage of this embodiment is that chunks that are formed from fine material that penetrates through the sieve mesh during dewatering and that can form in front of and behind the blade, into a wedge that is arranged between the blade and the blade by the arrangement of the blade and support surface Support surface is formed, and there damage the sieves.
The invention is therefore based on the object to develop the possibilities for intensifying the drainage and improving the fibrous web quality by preventing floc formation in the fibrous suspension in a wire section of the type mentioned in such a way that the overall length of the wire section one Paper machine is reduced. The disadvantages of the known designs are to be avoided.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claims 1 to 3 and 7. As support bodies, which are arranged in twin-wire zones and act against pressure elements against their support surface, primarily support elements with a circumferential support surface come into consideration - forming cylinders and belts. This has the advantage that the effects of centrifugal force and the pressure pulses introduced add up and force the drainage. Furthermore, friction on the screen belt is avoided, which contributes to a reduction in wear and the required drive power. However, support surfaces which are rigid in the direction of the pressure action and which cannot deflect in the direction of the pressure action on the screen belts are preferably chosen.
With the pressing of pressure elements it is achieved that line or point loads and, in the case of the concave pressure shoe, surface loads on the screen belt are caused, which lead to turbulence in the fiber suspension between the screen belts, which contributes to the prevention of flocculation and dewatering forced.
The pressure elements, which are designed as strips, squeegees or concave pressure shoes, can extend together or individually over the entire width of the screen.
The arrangement of the pressure elements is preferably such that the forces required to press the pressure elements are directed perpendicular to the screen belt. This has the advantage that the full contact pressure can be directed onto the sieve belts as a compressive force.
The pressure elements are preferably mounted on a support frame that is mounted on the machine frame and can be pivoted away from the support surface. In the case of the forming cylinder, the support frame is preferably pivotable about the forming cylinder axis and fastened to the housing of the forming cylinder bearing.

Figure 1 illustrates a section of a wire section of a twin-wire paper machine. The forming cylinder is within the
The magnitude of the forces introduced, which lead to a certain applied pressure due to the action of the
The force is preferably applied radially to the forming cylinder axis; however, the possibility of force introduction is also provided in which only one component of the force acts radially to the forming cylinder axis (FIGS. 5 and 6). These figures also illustrate the possibility of using hybrid molds.
In Fig. 5, the
The resiliently supported
Analogously to this, in the hybrid former shown in FIG. 6, the
The one shown in FIG. 1 is preferably used as a way of storing the pressure elements. The
The pressing of printing elements on a screen belt, which is supported against a support body, offers particular advantages especially in the production of multilayer paper, cardboard and also very thin paper, i.e. wherever one-sided drainage is desired. For this purpose, the support body must have a closed support surface.
Die beiden Siebbänder werden an der Walze 24 voneinander getrennt.FIG. 8 shows an embodiment of the invention as it can be used for example for the production of cardboard. The part of a wire section shown in this figure consists of two areas, a four-wire and a twin-wire zone. Two headboxes are provided for applying the layers, a
The two screen belts are separated from one another on the
According to the desired drainage effect and to avoid flocculation, the arrangement of support bodies / pressure elements can be varied in their embodiment for the respective application. A series of arrangements of support bodies and pressure elements is possible.
