Definitions

  • a variant is proposed by the publication GB-A-2 158 044, according to which, at least if we are dealing with bottles with a fairly high shoulder, similar to the so-called Bordeaux bottles, the imprints can be folded deep enough to come funnel rest on each lower bed at the height of this shoulder and no longer of the drinker.
  • the publication FR-A-2 625 475 proposes trays thanks to which the bottles are wedged by their bottom between four bosses and kept locked at their necks by the conical walls of simple holes centering drilled between these bosses: the funnels they form carry on the shoulders of the bottles of a given bed, and allow their necks to protrude; the bases of those of the following bed are placed in staggered rows on the seats which remain free between them on the opposite face. They are thus rigid, molded trays, the bottles of which occupy one square mesh out of two, the beds partially fitting into one another, which reconciles good compactness with good load stability. If this load is linked by vertical strapping, it becomes possible to tilt it 90 ° and even turn it 180 ° or on a full turn to carry out the manipulations necessary for the ripening of champagnized wines.
  • the invention mainly defined in claim 1 proposes to use comparable trays but consisting of a simple thermoformed sheet therefore simply semi-rigid: their funnels, on the contrary projecting by their rim at their narrow end on the table forming the support plane of the bases according to a mesh if necessary rhombic but preferably rectangular, themselves constitute, on the corresponding face, moles centering said caps inside their mesh.
  • the ratio of the mesh dimensions is advantageously greater than 1.5 and close to 1.7.
  • the funnels have a nipple profile and, if their opening adapts to the range offered by the shoulder of the bottles, their external contour deviates from it on at least part of their periphery: their root offers thus a steep wall adapted on the contrary to the shape of the jable.
  • their wall will take a median star shape in the middle part, thus coming into contact with the bottle over sufficient areas.
  • the depth of the funnels will be sufficient so that the bottles of the successive beds which constitute the load can be placed not standing on the pallet but on the tip, upside down, the first carrier plate being located - even supported by a suitable base.
  • a suitable base can in particular consist of a centering plate placed on the base of the pallet and receiving studs which play for the first bearing plate a supporting role identical or similar to that played then by the barrels of the bottles. .
  • a normal tray can serve as a cover if the protection provided by the cover is considered sufficient; conversely, the roles of base and cover would be reversed in the conventional loading mode, bottles placed upright.
  • the beds can be made manually or mechanically, the bottles being able to be turned one by one, in whole rows taken from the loading table, or even in whole beds. possibly already maintained by their future carrier plate.
  • the invention is therefore of particular interest for storing and then transporting bottles for still empty carbonated drinks, in particular sparkling wines and especially bottles of champagne of large capacity which, before being put into service, must one by one be hydraulically tested at high pressures to avoid any risk of accident.
  • the method of constituting the charge makes it possible to drain these bottles in place on their pallet to send them directly, the method of ribbing of the plates is obviously chosen so as to allow the water to flow out of the bottles, in practice towards the funnels.
  • the upper plate takes the form of a flat plate 1 a with lowered edges, with two cut sides and two rounded corners, carrying, in a rectangular mesh offset in the external contour, of five transverse rows relatively spaced by six funnels 2 projecting downwardly and tapering of their upper opening 2a towards their lower opening 2b for receiving the shoulders of bottles: two of these are shown in B 1 and B 2, each inserted in an inverted position in its funnel, the first supposed to belong for example to the first bed, the second to the second.
  • the funnels are connected by a table that only here reinforce perpendicular ribs 3 a and 3 b .
  • each of the stops 4 a , 4 b and 4 c draws a cell of sufficient dimensions to serve as a seat, covering the base of a bottle of a lower bed, such as that shown schematically in B1. There are thus thirty funnels and thirty staggered seats.
  • FIG. 3 thus shows, with the tray turned upside down, funnels projecting upwards, a possible drawing of the imprints.
  • the funnels there have a wall 2 e whose reach matches the profile of the shoulder, but they also carry clearances 6 which create as many projections on the opposite face.
  • clearances 6 generates back to the root of the impression a steeper wall 6 a; a wall 6 b extends it, which serves as an inlet for placing each tray on the bases of the previous bed and centering the latter; their assembly reconstitutes discontinuously the walls 2 c and 2 d shown in FIG. 2.
  • each funnel therefore has a star outline but, in the vicinity of its extreme orifices, the walls 6 a and 6 b join here a circular outline, or advantageously almost circular, notches offering a passage in air as in water without imposing on the material a stretching excessive.
  • ribs 3 a and 3 b first intended to stiffen the plate, could protrude and not recess on the upper face, or even then draw a different network.
  • the top of the mounds 4 a to 4 c can receive a relief design which is narrow enough to retain their rim without preventing the dripping of the water still contained inside; in FIG. 3 there are ribs 7 which further contribute to stiffening the plate.
  • the base therefore consists of a conventional pallet 8, carrying studs 9 placed on a base plate 10, namely preferably tubular sockets centered on projections 10 a of this plate 10.
  • a base plate namely preferably tubular sockets centered on projections 10 a of this plate 10.
  • they can have an external diameter equal to that of the heel of the bottles to receive the first bearing plate in at least part of its cells as shown in Figure 1, or an internal diameter corresponding to that of the root of the funnels and even combine these two aspects.
  • a last tray can serve as a cover.
  • a pallet thus formed can carry one hundred and eighty jeroboams (3 l) in six alternating beds, for a total load of the order of six hundred kilograms.
  • Another version would carry for example forty-eight balthazars (12 l) in four alternate beds; it will use for dividers similar trays although of course not identical: in particular, for such large bottles, the choice of mesh is very directly dictated by the choice of footprint, which leads here to provide only four rows of three bottles.
  • a cover is then put in place.
  • Figure 4 shows, this time in the normal position, an advantageous variant; the references therein are homologous to the previous ones.
  • the plate 11 is further subdivided, between the funnels 12, by hollow ribs 13 a and 13 b ; the top of the mounds 14 b ... is slightly rounded and stiffened by radiating ribs 17 with six branches forming in the center a star with a lower core at the mouth of the neck.
  • the design of the funnels is in a certain way opposite to that described above: it has a form of biconical nipple, with two walls 12 c , stiff, at the root and 12 d , clearly convergent, at the top.
  • the wall 12 d is however interrupted by indentations 16 on its external face, the wall of which is connected by a face 16 a to the wall 12 c in order to join the opening 12 b opposite; the outline of the latter is again not entirely circular but in a way polygonal; this drawing therefore offers internally at the shoulder of the bottles a centering formed by raised surfaces 16 b , conveniently four in number, capable of guiding them while leaving free passage to the water flowing from the channels which form the ribs 13 a and 13 b .
