Claims (9)

  1. Seitliche Verschlußwand (5) für eine Anlage zum Stranggießen dünner metallischer Bänder zwischen Walzen, mit einer ersten senkrechten Wand (11) aus feuerfestem Material, die die Stirnenden der Walzen (1, 2) berührt und mit einer elektrischen Heizanordnung für diese erste Platte, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Heizanordnung eine zweite steife Platte (12) aus elektrisch leitendem Material aufweist, die an der ersten Platte anliegt sowie eine Anordnung zur Verbindung der beiden Enden (16, 17) dieser Platte mit einer elektrischen Stromquelle (18).
  2. Wand nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die zweite Platte (12) zueinander versetzte Aussparungen (13) aufweist, die abwechselnd von einem ersten Rand (14) der Platte und einem zweiten diesem Rand gegenüberliegenden Rand (15) ausgehen und senkrecht zur Platte verlaufen.
  3. Wand nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Aussparungen (13) senkrecht verlaufen.
  4. Wand nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Abstand (e) zwischen den Aussparungen variabel ist.
  5. Wand nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein isolierendes Material (19) in den Aussparungen (13) angeordnet ist.
  6. Wand nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das elektrisch leitende Material Graphit oder ein in seiner Gesamtheit elektrisch leitendes feuerfestes Material ist.
  7. Wand nach Ansprüchen 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie eine elektrisch isolierende rückwärtige Halte- und Druckplatte (21) aufweist, welche die zweite Platte (12) berührt und auf welche eine Druckanordnung (22) einwirkt, um die Gesamtheit der Verschlußwand in Richtung zu den Walzen hin zu beaufschlagen.
  8. Wand nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Gesamtheit der drei Platten vorteilhafterweise in einem Gehäuse (23) angeordnet ist, welches die Vorderseite der ersten feuerfesten, mit einem inerten Gas versorgten Platte (11) frei laßt.
  9. Stranggußanlage mit Walzen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie zwei seitliche Verschlußwände nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8 aufweist.
