Definitions
- the invention relates to a kit for the renovation of a worn stair step according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a kit is the subject of DE-U-92 00 795 by the same applicant.
- This comprises a profile with a C-shaped cross-section, which can be pushed over the front of the step to be renovated, that is to say it encompasses its front, most worn area.
- This profile has holes at various points, namely in the area of its leg resting on the top of the step and in its vertical area, through which screws can be screwed in for fastening the profile to the step.
- a tread plate is placed on the top of the step to be renovated and fastened thereon, for example, with an adhesive connection.
- This step plate has on its side facing the step front side a web which is to be brought into engagement with a corresponding groove of a step edge which covers the front side of the step to be renovated.
- This kit has the disadvantage that the joint of the tread plate to the tread edge on the top of the redeveloped step creates a joint.
- this joint is unsightly because of the different grain of the wood between the two abutting components, and secondly, it tends to get dirty quickly and heavily, especially because it is in the most frequently used part of the step. Finally, over time, this shock even tends to form a gradation because the wear properties of the two abutting components are generally different.
- a kit for stair renovation is known in which the tread protrudes beyond the front of the stair step.
- the top of the facing strip lies against the underside of the protruding part of the tread plate and is connected to it in the contact area via a tongue and groove connection.
- the task is to develop the kit so that a uniform, dirt and wear-resistant step top is guaranteed.
- the kit essentially consists of a facing strip 2, a tread plate 4, a C-shaped profile 14 and the new adjusting step 23.
- the facing strip 2 has a longitudinal web 7 on its upper side 6.
- the tread plate 4 is provided on its underside 8 in the region of the long sides 9, 11 with grooves 10, 12 which run parallel to these long sides 9, 11 and whose distance from these long sides 9, 11 is approximately the distance between the web 7 and the upper front edge of the Facing strip 2 corresponds.
- the profile 14 has an upper horizontally extending leg 15 and parallel to it a lower leg 17, which are connected to one another by a vertical middle leg.
- the distance between the legs 15, 17 corresponds to the thickness of the old step 1.
- the lower leg 17 is shorter than the upper leg 15.
- a vertical extension 26 adjoins the lower leg 17.
- the upper leg 15 and the extension 27 have countersunk bores.
- the length of the leg 17 corresponds to the distance between the front edge 3 of the step 1 and the old setting step 24.
- the facing strip 2 and the profile 14 form a preassembled unit, in which the facing strip 2 is connected to the vertical leg of the profile 14 is. This connection is made by screws which are screwed into the facing strip 2 from the inside of the vertical leg of the profile 14. It is also possible for the tread plate 4 and the facing strip 2 to form a preassembled structural unit.
- the profile 14 is pushed over the old step 1, the leg 15 coming to rest on the top 5 of the step 1. Furthermore, the extension 26 is against the old control stage 24. By means of countersunk screws 13, 28, the upper leg 15 is screwed to the top 5 of the step 1 and the extension 26 to the old setting step 24. Cavities 22 between the top 5 and the front 3 on the one hand and the upper leg 15 and the vertical leg of the profile 14 are filled with assembly foam 21.
- a filler material 18 is applied to the area of the upper side 5 of the stair step 1, which is not covered by the upper leg 15, which is preferably a cork board which is glued to the upper side 5 of the stair step 1. The same applies to that part of the old control stage 24 which is not covered by the extension 26 of the profile 14.
- the tread plate 4 is placed on this upper side and connected to the upper side consisting of leg 15 and filling material 18. This connection is preferably done by gluing.
- the groove 10 of the tread plate 4 runs at a distance in front of the vertical leg of the profile 14, the web 7 coming into engagement with the groove 10.
- the top 6 is glued to the protruding part of the bottom 8 of the tread plate 4.
- the new control stage 23 is used, which comes with its upper edge 25 to bear against the lower leg 17 of the profile 14.
- the lower edge of the new adjusting step 23, not shown, lies on the tread plate 4 of the step below.
- the distance between the upper edge 25 and the lower edge of the new setting step is preferably selected so that the new setting step is clamped between the leg 17 and the step plate 4 located underneath.
- the facing strip 2 and the tread plate 4 are preferably made of wood.
- Profile 14 is preferably a metal profile.
- the new control stage 23 can also consist of wood.
- the tread plate 4 If the tread plate 4 is worn on its upper side in the region of the long side 9, then the connection between the leg 15 and the filler material 18 and the connection to the facing strip 2 is released and the new adjusting step 23 which runs vertically above the tread plate 4 is removed and the tread plate 4 by Rotated 180 °, so that now the long side 11 comes to lie at the front of the step and the web 7 now engages in the groove 12.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a kit for the renovation of a worn stair step according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a kit is the subject of DE-U-92 00 795 by the same applicant. This comprises a profile with a C-shaped cross-section, which can be pushed over the front of the step to be renovated, that is to say it encompasses its front, most worn area. This profile has holes at various points, namely in the area of its leg resting on the top of the step and in its vertical area, through which screws can be screwed in for fastening the profile to the step. After assembling the profile, a tread plate is placed on the top of the step to be renovated and fastened thereon, for example, with an adhesive connection. This step plate has on its side facing the step front side a web which is to be brought into engagement with a corresponding groove of a step edge which covers the front side of the step to be renovated.
This kit has the disadvantage that the joint of the tread plate to the tread edge on the top of the redeveloped step creates a joint. First of all, this joint is unsightly because of the different grain of the wood between the two abutting components, and secondly, it tends to get dirty quickly and heavily, especially because it is in the most frequently used part of the step. Finally, over time, this shock even tends to form a gradation because the wear properties of the two abutting components are generally different.
From DE-U-88 15 008 a kit for stair renovation is known in which the tread protrudes beyond the front of the stair step. The top of the facing strip lies against the underside of the protruding part of the tread plate and is connected to it in the contact area via a tongue and groove connection.
The task is to develop the kit so that a uniform, dirt and wear-resistant step top is guaranteed.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Advantageous refinements can be found in the subclaims.

The kit essentially consists of a facing
The facing
To assemble the kit, proceed as follows:
The
If this assembly work is carried out, then there is a flat top of the stair step, consisting of the
Next, the
Then the
The facing
If the
