Definitions
- the invention relates to a warhead with a tandem charge according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a warhead with a tandem charge according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US-A-5 107 766.
- a second warhead with a tandem charge is known from US Pat. No. 4,803,928.
- a housing there are target detectors for impact or proximity, a drilling charge according to the hollow charge principle, a guide housing for an axially guided additional charge arranged therein, a propellant charge for the additional charge and ignition means for triggering the borehole charge and the additional charge.
- the guide housing for the refill charge with the propellant charge is pressure-resistant due to the high pressure of the propellant charge and is therefore equipped with a relatively large weight.
- This warhead is therefore suitable for the destruction of aircraft runways in that the drilling charge creates a hole in the concrete slab, into which the additional charge penetrates and detonates in the hole.
- a warhead against aircraft is known from DE-C1 26 29 280, which are housed in shelters.
- This warhead has a structure which is fundamentally similar to that described in US Pat. No. 4,803,928.
- the refill charge which is driven by a partial charge, is designed as a fragmentary projectile to increase the probability of being hit.
- the known warheads are not suitable for combat areas and shelters behind barricades, since the barricades made of heterogeneous material are penetrated, but due to the high kinetic energy of the warhead, the triggering does not take place or takes place too late. Due to the new target criterion, which represents a barricade, it is obvious to implement the sensor technology of the detonator accordingly. This then leads to the unsatisfactory partial result that, although the barricade is perforated by the shaped charge, the additional charge does not take effect due to its post-acceleration.
- cover means house walls, barricades and protective walls.
- the invention solves this problem according to the characterizing features of claim 1.
- the shaped charge hits a channel with a diameter of approx. 50 - 60 mm through the target.

Description
The invention relates to a warhead with a tandem charge according to the preamble of claim 1. A warhead with a tandem charge according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US-A-5 107 766.
A second warhead with a tandem charge is known from US Pat. No. 4,803,928. In a housing there are target detectors for impact or proximity, a drilling charge according to the hollow charge principle, a guide housing for an axially guided additional charge arranged therein, a propellant charge for the additional charge and ignition means for triggering the borehole charge and the additional charge. The guide housing for the refill charge with the propellant charge is pressure-resistant due to the high pressure of the propellant charge and is therefore equipped with a relatively large weight. This warhead is therefore suitable for the destruction of aircraft runways in that the drilling charge creates a hole in the concrete slab, into which the additional charge penetrates and detonates in the hole.
Furthermore, a warhead against aircraft is known from DE-C1 26 29 280, which are housed in shelters. This warhead has a structure which is fundamentally similar to that described in US Pat. No. 4,803,928. However, the refill charge, which is driven by a partial charge, is designed as a fragmentary projectile to increase the probability of being hit.
The known warheads are not suitable for combat areas and shelters behind barricades, since the barricades made of heterogeneous material are penetrated, but due to the high kinetic energy of the warhead, the triggering does not take place or takes place too late.
Due to the new target criterion, which represents a barricade, it is obvious to implement the sensor technology of the detonator accordingly. This then leads to the unsatisfactory partial result that, although the barricade is perforated by the shaped charge, the additional charge does not take effect due to its post-acceleration.
Therefore, it is the object of the invention to create a projectile to combat the opponent in cover, whereby cover means house walls, barricades and protective walls.
Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe gemäß den kennzeichnenden Merkmalen des Anspruches 1.The invention solves this problem according to the characterizing features of claim 1.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen sind den Unteransprüchen zu entnehmen.Advantageous further developments can be found in the subclaims.
With a caliber of 90 mm for the warhead, the shaped charge hits a channel with a diameter of approx. 50 - 60 mm through the target. The fragmentary bullet penetrates the target through this channel and detonates approx. 0.5 - 2.5 meters behind the target with a large fragmentation effect in the adjacent effective area. It is essential that, due to its inertia when the warhead strikes the target, the additional charge continues on its way almost unchecked by the detonation of the shaped charge. A separate acceleration charge for the additional charge is therefore not necessary. This measure according to the invention enables the additional charge to be loaded in a simple manner to bring them into the intended area of action - without additional mechanical or pyrotechnical effort.
According to
An inexpensive warhead equipped with little weight is present according to
An inexpensive insert for the shaped charge is given according to claim 4.
