Definitions
- the present invention relates to an inner boot interposed between the lower leg and the foot of a skier and a shell of a sports boot such as an alpine ski boot, this boot having a vamp enveloping the foot which is surmounted by '' a rod enveloping the lower leg and consisting of a rear part and a front part respectively forming a rear wedge and a front wedge, associated to constitute a wall of a given thickness intended to play a role in adjusting the fitting between the inner surface of the shoe shell and the lower leg.
- Slippers of this type are known, the walls of which, in particular of the upper, are made of an elastic material, for example of polyurethane, which gives a certain overall comfort but whose major drawback lies in the fact that it is necessary to have available a cover tab with a foot entry opening.
- French patent N ° 2360 271 proposes an internal liner whose rising rod is closed around its entire periphery and has greater circumferential extensibility than the other parts.
- said wall is divided into strips which extend transversely relative to the circumference and which are adjoining alternately, in accordion.
- the liner can expand to allow the passage of the foot, by deployment of the accordion strips forming a sort of bellows.
- this deployment effect of the blades provides a contradictory effect depending on the body size of the skier. In fact, if the latter is large, it will tend to cause the accordion-like slats to be withdrawn and therefore to reduce their resistance, whereas in this case it would rather be necessary to reinforce it, and vice versa.
- the present invention aims not only to achieve this result, but also to obtain a compromise between a controlled compressibility of the thickness of the liner, possibly different depending on the area, independently of a transverse elastic extension of the upper to allow the passage of the foot without using a removable or retractable tongue.
- the invention relates to an internal boot interposed between the lower leg and the foot of a skier and a shell of a sports boot such as an alpine ski boot, this boot comprising a vamp enveloping the foot which is surmounted by a rod enveloping the lower leg and consisting of a posterior part and an anterior part respectively forming a rear wedge and a front wedge, associated to constitute a thick wall data intended to play a role in adjusting the footwear between the internal surface of the shoe shell and the lower leg, characterized in that it consists of a sock extending uniformly and without folds, and having, in the at least one expandable zone, a plurality of distinct and juxtaposed wedging elements which are fixed to it externally to constitute the wall of the liner of a given thickness and compressibility.
- the extensible zone extends at least in the zone corresponding to the flexion fold and the instep of the skier's foot.
- the boot 1 designated overall and shown in Figure 1 is intended to be interposed between the lower leg and the foot of a skier and a shell of a ski boot (not shown).
- the boot 1 includes an upper 2, enveloping the foot, which is surmounted by a rod 3, enveloping the lower leg, and consisting of a rear part 3 a and a front part 3 b respectively forming a rear wedge and a front wedge, associated to constitute a wall of a given thickness "e", intended to play a role in adjusting the footwear between the internal surface of the shoe shell and the lower leg.
- the liner 1 consists of a sock 4 extending uniformly and without folds, extendable at least in the area of the upper 3, and on which sock 4 are fixed externally wedging elements 5, separate and juxtaposed, to form the wall of thickness "e" of a liner 1 of a given compressibility.
- the wedging elements 5 are constituted by bars of quadrangular shape (FIG. 4) which extend in the longitudinal direction of the ankle-foot axis. These are from width "y” and are spaced by a value "x", these values "y” and “x” can be constant or variable depending on certain filling areas to be filled between the foot and the inner wall of the shell of the shoe or depending on a particular effect sought on a specific area of the boot.
- the upper 3 is therefore constituted by the sock 4, made of an extensible fabric covered with a waterproof film 6 also extensible, on which said wedging elements 5 are arranged.
- the upper 2 forming the lower part of the boot 1 is free of elements 5 but can, without departing from the scope of the invention, be provided with it.
- the two parts namely the upper rod 3 and the upper 2, are interconnected by a seam 7.
- the initial footwear volume of the sock 4 at rest, while respecting the extensible zone carrying the wedging elements 5, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D is less than the theoretical internal volume of the boot 1, 1A , 1B for a given size, so that the introduction of the user's foot causes the extension of the sock 4 and consequently the spacing of said elements 5, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, without action on them -even.
- the wedging elements 5 are either attached by bonding to the waterproof film 6, or poured directly onto it.
- the wedging elements 5 are for example made of a material of the same density, but depending on the area where they are located, they can also be made of materials of different densities.
- the posterior part of its shank constituting a rear wedge 3 has to support the lower leg against the shell of the boot, is constituted of wedging elements 5, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D preferably achieved in a high material slightly deformable, even non-deformable density, while its front part constituting a front support wedge 3 b consists of wedging elements 5, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D made of an elastically compressible material.
- the latter material may be of the viscoelastic type of appropriate density, for example a polyurethane foam.
- the rear part 3b of the stem 3 of liner 1 comprises a smooth zone A, in fact a portion of sock 4, free of a succession of wedging elements 5 but provided with '' a unique wedging element to offer a firm support of the rear part of the lower leg against the rigid shell of the shoe.
- This unique wedging element therefore has a relatively large bearing surface.
- the liner 1A represented in FIG. 3 essentially differs from the previous one in the shape and the arrangement of the wedging elements 5A which are constituted by a plurality of plates of disparate shapes.
- the wedging elements 5B differ from the previous 5 in that they are of trapezoidal section, arranged in parallel on the sock 4 by their large base B.
- the wedging elements 5C shown in FIG. 6 are of identical sections to those of the elements 5B, with the only difference that they are arranged alternately on their large base "B” and on their small base "b".
- the wedging elements 5D differ from the previous 5, 5B, 5C in that they are of approximately semi-circular section.
