Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for cutting out blanks from fold-forming flat material, in particular leather, in which the flat material is held down on a cutting table by applying vacuum and the blanks after a material defect detection and a position, shape and size of the material defect taking into account the pattern created in accordance with the pattern created cut out individually, as well as on a cutting table to carry out this process.
So far, cuts made of leather or similar flat material have mostly been produced with the help of punching dies which are to be put on by hand, which is cumbersome and tedious, but allows any material defects to be taken into account when placing the punching dies and also allows wrinkles to form when the material is placed on them. In order to be able to automate the cutting out of such blanks, it has also already been proposed to place the flat material on a work surface of a cutting table which can be pressurized and then to cut the desired blanks accordingly Cut controllable ultrasound, water jet or laser cutting unit individually, in order to control these cutting units first an error detection and then a corresponding cutting pattern creation are carried out, so that, at least theoretically, cuts from largely error-free material while minimizing the remaining material waste from existing pieces of leather or the like. can be cut out. Suitable data processing systems and control programs are already available for error detection and for creating a pattern, although there is a difficulty in recognizing the existing folds as folds and distinguishing them from actual material defects. If the effort of own wrinkle detection is accepted, a cutting pattern that only takes into account the material defects can be created, but the fixation of the material when cutting the blanks is impaired by the wrinkles and the cut quality also suffers from these wrinkles. If, on the other hand, the folds are equated with the material defects, faultless material parts of the fold areas also fall to waste and there is inevitably a very poor use of material.
The invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating these deficiencies and of specifying a method of the type described at the outset which enables rational cutting out of blanks with optimum use of material and perfect cutting conditions. In addition, a cutting table for easy implementation of this method is to be created.
The invention solves this problem in that the negative pressure for holding down the flat material is limited to the cutting table areas assigned to the pattern-appropriate blanks and the negative pressure in these areas is preferably central Starting point is applied progressively from the edge. By coordinating the vacuum areas with the material areas selected for the blanks, on the one hand the performance of the vacuum pressure is reduced to the extent necessary for actually holding the flat material when the blanks are cut out, and on the other hand it ensures that the material strips adjacent to the blanks lie loosely on the work surface that wrinkles can form unhindered here in the intermediate areas belonging to the waste. If, in addition, the negative pressure is progressively applied towards the edge from a point within a table area corresponding to a cut, folds lying within such a material area selected for a cut can be shifted to the edge in the course of the progressive negative pressure application and away from the cut area into the To move between areas where they neither disturb the quality of the cut nor increase the material waste. For the creation of the pattern, it is therefore sufficient to take into account the actual material defects located in a normal material defect detection, since any folds running in the cutting regions are automatically displaced from the cutting region when the flat material is held down for cutting out the blanks, and optimal cutting guides and minimal material waste are guaranteed .
Cutting tables with a work surface that can be pressurized to place and hold down the flat material are well known. In order to be able to carry out the method according to the invention efficiently on such a cutting table, the work surface for the application of negative pressure includes a large number of vacuum suction devices arranged next to one another in a grid-like division, each of which can be connected via a shut-off device to a vacuum source and is one Control device is provided for selective and staggered activation of the shut-off devices. By individually controlling the shut-off devices, the vacuum suction devices arranged in a correspondingly distributed manner can be combined into any groups and activated in the desired order, so that the respective limitation of the vacuum application to certain table areas and the simultaneous or staggered application of the vacuum in these areas is possible without restriction and also to the patterns just created are customizable.
If the control device is connected to a material defect detection and pattern creation device that is known per se and the cut pattern created in each case can be adopted in the control program of the control device, the control process for restricting the vacuum application and the activation of the vacuum suction devices can be automated automatically and matched directly to the cut pattern created in each case.

In order to be able to cut blanks from fold-forming flat material, in particular leather, rationally and under perfect conditions, there is a cutting table 1 with a
As illustrated in Fig. 2, the negative pressure on the
If, as indicated in FIG. 1, the
