Abstract

The invention relates firstly to a first mechanical fastening element of a connection which is provided with a multiplicity of hooking means (11) which project from a film-like backing (12), have thickenings (14) at the free ends of flexible knobs (13) and, when pressed against a second mechanical fastening element, become hooked with identical hooking means (21) provided thereon. The hooking means (11) of the first mechanical fastening element are arranged in accordance with a pattern (10) which is based on a grid of grid lines which determine the position of the hooking means (11) in such a way that their knobs (13) form stops for the thickening of the second mechanical fastening element, which stops prevent displacement of one mechanical fastening element relative to the other in any direction parallel to the backing (12). The invention relates secondly to a connection of the first mechanical fastening element to a second mechanical fastening element, in which the central points of the hooking means (21) are arranged at each second junction of lines (25 and 26) forming a grid, and the spacings of the mutually parallel grid lines from one another are half the size of the spacings d) of the grid lines (15 and 16) of the first mechanical fastening element. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to an adhesive connection formed by two adhesive fastener parts, in which a first adhesive fastener part is provided on an active side of a film-shaped carrier with a plurality of hooking means protruding from the carrier, which have thickenings at the free ends of flexible stubble, which become during Press on the active side of a second fastener part with the same hooking means provided on it.

European patent specification 37 652 discloses an adhesive connection of this type, in which the stubble on each fastener part is arranged at substantially equal distances from one another in each direction and in each direction the number of stubble present on a fastener part per unit length varies from the number of distinguishes stubble present on the other fastener part per unit length and does not form an integral multiple of this number in the other fastener part. The aim of this is to ensure that when shear forces acting parallel to the film-shaped carrier act on the adhesive connection, the two adhesive fastener parts cannot move relative to one another. However, this effect is in the known fastener parts not reached to the same extent in all places, so that when shear forces occur, the two fastener parts can twist against each other or even shift in some places.

The invention has for its object to provide an adhesive connection in which the adhesive fastener parts cannot move against each other when shear forces parallel to the film-shaped carrier occur.

This object is achieved according to the invention by combining the following features:
  • a) the hooking means are arranged according to a repeat which is repeated as often as required in two mutually perpendicular directions,
  • b) each repeat is based on a grid which is formed by two grid lines parallel to one another in a first direction and by four grid lines parallel to one another, which intersect at 2 x 4 = 8 crossing points and thereby form four angles at each crossing point,
  • c) at each crossing point, only one hooking means is arranged such that the stubble next to each of the first and second grid lines lies alternately on different sides of the grid line, and
  • d) the distances between the grid lines are equal and each distance is smaller than the sum of the double thickness, measured in the direction of this distance, of a stubble of the first fastener part and a thickening of the second fastener part.

This ensures that the two fastener parts can not move against each other in the two directions mentioned even when shear forces occur. Since shear forces in other directions can be divided into two components that extend in the two directions mentioned, the two adhesive fastener parts can also are not displaced against each other by shear forces which act on the two adhesive fastener parts in the adhesive connection in directions deviating from the first or from the second direction.

So that the interlocking means are not too close to each other and thereby the pressing together of the two fastener parts is hindered, in an advantageous embodiment it is provided that the distance of the grid lines from one another is at least as large as the sum of the thickness of a stubble of the first closure part and measured in the direction of this distance a thickening of the second closure part.

In some special cases it can be advantageous if the two directions mentioned form an acute angle with one another. In an advantageous embodiment, however, it is provided that the first direction is perpendicular to the second direction.

The thickenings can be shaped differently in plan view. The cross section of the stubble can be shaped differently. In an advantageous embodiment it is provided that the thickenings are round and the diameter of the thickening is approximately twice as large as the diameter of the essentially round cross section of the stubble. Hooking means of this type are known and are also referred to as "mushroom heads".

Different shaped adhesive fastener parts can be produced by joining the repeats in different ways. However, it is expedient to arrange the repeats in such a way that the adhesive closure part is in the form of a band and the one, preferably the second, direction extends in the longitudinal direction of the band. Adhesive fastener parts of any length can then be cut off from such a tape, it then being irrelevant whether the interface is currently on a dividing line of two repeats or a repeat cuts through.

In an advantageous embodiment it is provided that in the second fastener part, the centers of the hooking means are arranged at every second crossing point of straight lines forming a grid, which are parallel to two mutually perpendicular directions and whose distances from one another are half as large as the distances from the grid lines of the first fastener part.

Der Durchmesser der koaxial zur Stoppel 13 angeordneten Verdickung 14 beträgt 1 mm.1 and 2 show, on a greatly enlarged scale, the top views of the active side of a first closure part, only the part of the plan view being shown in FIG. 1, which shows a repeat 10 of the distribution of interlocking means 11 on a film-shaped carrier 12. As can be seen from FIG. 3, each hooking means consists of a flexible stubble 13, which protrudes vertically from the film-shaped carrier and carries a mushroom-shaped round thickening 14 at its free end. The stubble 13 is round in cross section and has a diameter of 0.5 mm. The diameter of the thickening 14 arranged coaxially to the stubble 13 is 1 mm.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, the arrangement of the hooking means 11 in the repeat 10 is based on a grid which consists of two grid lines 15 extending parallel in a first direction, namely in the longitudinal direction of the repeat, and four parallel to one another, in one to the other first direction perpendicular second direction, namely the width direction of the repeat, extending raster line 16 is formed. These six grid lines intersect at eight crossing points 17 and thereby form four angles at each crossing point. At each crossing point 17, only one hooking means 11 is arranged such that each stubble 13 is arranged at an angle and thereby touches the two legs of the angle. As a result, each stubble 13 touches one of the two mutually perpendicular grid lines 15 and 16. Along each grid line 15 and 16 there is therefore a series of hooking means 11, the stubble 13 of which touch this grid line. The angles at which the hooking means 11 are located are selected such that in each of these rows touching a grid line 15 or 16, the hooking means are alternately on different sides of the grid line 15 or 16 concerned and for each pair of grid lines, for example 15, the stubble 13 touching a grid line 16 are arranged either on the sides facing away from one another or on the sides of the grid line 15 facing each other.

The distances d between the grid lines 15 and 16 are the same. This distance d is 1.81 mm in the illustrated embodiment. This results in a repeat with the length a = 7.26 mm and the width b = 3.63 mm.

Für die Herstellung des Bandes hat es sich als zweckmäßig erwiesen, als Längsrichtung des Bandes, entgegen dem sich aus Fig. 2 ergebenden Eindruck, die Breitenrichtung des Rapportes, also die in Fig. 2 sich waagerecht erstreckende Richtung zu wählen.FIG. 2 shows the top view of a section of a band in which the hooking means 11 are arranged after the repeat of FIG. 1, two repeats arranged alongside one another in the longitudinal and in the width direction being shown in this exemplary embodiment. Of course, an adhesive fastener part formed by a portion of this tape has a much larger number of repeats in both the length and width directions. For the production of the band, it has proven to be expedient to choose the width direction of the repeat, that is the horizontally extending direction in FIG. 2, as the longitudinal direction of the band, contrary to the impression resulting from FIG. 2.

Die Anzahl der Verhakungsmittel auf den beiden Verschlußteilen verhält sich also wie 1:2.FIG. 4 shows the top view of the active side of a second adhesive fastener part, which forms a particularly good adhesive connection with the first adhesive fastener part. For the arrangement of the hooking means 21, this second adhesive closure part is based on a grid which is formed from two sets of grid lines 25 and 26 which are parallel to one another, which are parallel to two mutually perpendicular directions and whose distances d 'are equal to one another. These distances d 'are half the distances d of the grid lines of the first adhesive fastener part. In this embodiment, the hooking means 21 are arranged such that center points 27 of their plan view coincide with the crossing points of the grid lines 25 and 26, with a hooking means 21 being arranged on every grid line 25 and 26 only at every second crossing point. Since in the second adhesive fastener part on a surface unit corresponding to the repeat according to FIG. 1, instead of two in the first direction twice as many, ie four grid lines and in the second direction instead of four Twice as many, i.e. eight grid lines are arranged, there are 32 intersection points for the same area unit, of which only half are occupied by hooking means, so that the number of eight hooking means on the first closure part and sixteen hooking means on the second closure part are assigned. The number of hooking means on the two closure parts thus behaves as 1: 2.

If the two adhesive fastener parts are pressed against one another with their active sides, then the hooking means 21 of the second locking part press between the hooking means 11 of the first locking part. The distance b of the grid lines of the first closure part from each other in both directions is 1.81 mm. This is less than the sum of the double diameter of a stubble of the first adhesive fastener part and the simple diameter of a thickening of the second adhesive fastener part, which together gives 2 mm. The clear distance between the stubble is 1.81 mm minus twice the diameter of a stubble = 1 mm, i.e. only 0.81 mm, which is less than the diameter of a thickening of the second adhesive fastener part, namely less than 1 mm. As a result, any thickening of the second fastener part strikes the stubble of the first fastener part in an attempt to move it in a direction parallel to the two mutually perpendicular grid lines, these directions in which the stubble of the first fastener part stops form for the thickening of the second fastener part, are different with each thickening of the second fastener part. The two fastener parts are thereby secured against movements parallel to the carrier. It is therefore essential that the distances between the grid lines of the first closure part are smaller than the sum of the double thickness, measured in the direction of these distances, of a stubble of the first adhesive closure part and a thickening of the second adhesive closure part.

A too tight arrangement of the hooking means of the first fastener part with respect to the corresponding thickness of the thickening of the second fastener part could lead to the penetration of the thickenings 21 of the second fastener part between the thickenings of the first fastener part being impeded. For this reason, the distance between the grid lines 15 and 16 of the first adhesive fastener part should be at least as large as the sum of the thickness of a stubble 13 of the first adhesive fastener part and a thickening 21 of the second adhesive fastener part measured in the direction of these distances. In the illustrated embodiment, this distance b = 1.81 mm is greater than the sum of the diameter of a stubble = 0.5 mm and a thickening of the hooking means 21 of the second adhesive fastener part = 1 mm, namely 1.81 mm> 1.5 mm.

The dimensions given above are the dimensions of an advantageous embodiment, these dimensions can have completely different sizes. It is essential that the proportions are correct, as stated above and claimed in the claims.
