Abstract

A description is given of a shuttering for shuttering end surfaces (1c) of two neighbouring concrete structural-part portions (1), having a shuttering wall (3) containing an expanded-metal panel (3a, 3b). Through the end surfaces (1c) of the two concrete-part portions (1) there extends a longitudinal reinforcement (9a, 9b) at a distance from, and essentially parallel to, an adjacent surface (1a, 1b) of the concrete part. In order to be able to produce a shuttering of this type more easily, the invention proposes to produce the shuttering wall (3) from an expanded-metal panel (5) which is reinforced by structural bars (6, 7) which are welded on in a grid-like manner, bars (6) running in the longitudinal direction being arranged on one side of the expanded-metal panel (5) and bars (7) running in the transverse direction being arranged on the other side, to use a grid mat as reinforcement (9a, 9b) and to extend the expanded-metal panel (5) through the grid mat (9a, 9b), to such an extent that a free edge terminates essentially in that surface plane of the grid mat (9a, 9b) which is directed towards the adjacent surface (1a, 1b) of the structural-part portion (1). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a formwork for shuttering the end faces of two adjacent component sections made of concrete of the type explained in the preamble of claim 1.

Such formwork is known from DE-AS 1 259 546. Two strips of expanded metal are used for the known formwork, between which a joint seal is fastened by means of L-shaped intermediate pieces. If reinforcement is required through both component sections, reinforcement bars are pushed through the expanded metal in the longitudinal direction of the component and across the formwork. However, these reinforcing bars require correct work or a holding structure in order to keep them at a predetermined distance from one another and in their predetermined position in the component.

The invention has for its object to provide a formwork that allows a less expensive arrangement of the reinforcement.

The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

The inventive design of the formwork, which projects with its free end edges through the reinforcement, makes it possible to use a mesh mat as a continuous reinforcement, in which the reinforcement bars are at their predetermined position and at a predetermined distance from one another remain. At the same time, concrete is prevented from flowing out between the shorter formwork walls and the reinforcement. Finally, the expanded metal is given sufficient stability by welded-on transverse and longitudinal bars, so that the additional hold caused by the pierced reinforcing bars is no longer necessary.

According to claims 2 and 3, the formwork according to the application is particularly suitable for shuttering joints that are to be bridged with a water barrier or a joint tape.

The measure according to claim 4 on the one hand facilitates the dimensioning of the passage of the expanded metal through the level of the reinforcement, on the other hand the reinforcement can, if desired, be welded to these metal bars.

An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the single drawing, which shows a cross section in plan view of a component section split off with the formwork according to the invention.

A first, already cast component section 1 made of concrete is shown in section from the FIG. A wall is shown. The lateral surfaces 1a and 1b of the component sections are delimited by conventional formwork 2a and 2b. The end face 1c of the first component section 1, to which a second component section (not shown) is to be connected, is delimited by a formwork 3 provided with a conventional toothing groove, which consists of two rigid formwork panels 3a, 3b as lost formwork a metal strip 4 is welded in as a water barrier. Each of the strips 3a, 3b consists of an expanded metal 5 which is reinforced by cross-bars and longitudinal bars welded on in a lattice shape. The longitudinal rods 6 extend approximately parallel to the water barrier 4 and the transverse rods 7 at right angles thereto. The longitudinal bars 6 are welded on one side and the cross bars 7 on the other side of the expanded metal 5.

The formwork 3 of the end face also contains two concrete cover strips 8a and 8b, which connect to the respectively adjacent formwork wall 2a and 2b of the outer surfaces of the component sections and each hold a reinforcement mesh mat 9a and 9b at a predetermined distance from the formwork wall 2a or 2b. The concrete cover strips are located at the level of the formwork 3 for the end faces and each extend essentially halfway into the area of the first component section 1 and into the area of the second component section still to be created.

Each of the lattice mats 9a, 9b consists of cross bars 10 and longitudinal bars 11 crossed at right angles. The lattice mats 9a, 9b are arranged in such a way that the longitudinal bars 11 point to the adjacent outer surface 1a, 1b and run parallel to it.

Each strip 3a, 3b of the formwork wall 3 projects with its free edge, which at this point either consists only of expanded metal 5 or, as shown, expanded metal 5 and the cross bars 7, in the direction of the surfaces 1a, 1b through the lattice mats 9a, 9b by the amount a so far that the free edges with the surface planes facing the surfaces 1a, 1b Essentially complete lattice mats 9a, 9b. This free edge is then covered by the respective concrete cover strip 8a and 8b.

One of the metal bars 6 of each formwork strip running parallel to the cross bars 10 of the lattice mats 9a, 9b is at a distance from the free edge which corresponds approximately to the diameter of the longitudinal bars 11. If a firm connection is thus desired, this metal rod 6 can be welded to the mesh mat 9a, 9b. At the same time, it limits the penetration depth of the mesh mats 9a, 9b, so that the mesh mats 9a, 9b are held in their predetermined position on the one hand by the concrete cover strips 8a, 8b and on the other hand by the formwork 3. At the same time, the formwork material covers the free spaces within the lattice openings of the lattice mats 9a, 9b, so that no concrete can flow out at these locations if concrete is poured in on the side of the formwork shown in the drawing to produce the first component section 1.

In a modification of the described and drawn exemplary embodiment, a joint seal or the like can be provided instead of the welded-in water barrier 4. The toothing groove can also be omitted.
