Abstract

Cette invention concerne un moule annulaire (1) utile pour produire des pellets se présentant sous forme de barres courtes ayant une section transversale triangulaire. Les pellets sont formés par la pression des cylindres (2) s'exerçant sur la partie intérieure (3) du moule (1), ladite pression forçant la neige carbonique réduite en poudre (dioxyde de carbone) à traverser les orifices radiaux. Lesdists orifices comprennent un orifice d'admission convergent, une rainure pourvue de côtés globalement parallèles et un orifice de sortie évasé. Ce système peut également comporter des séparations comprenant un dispositif permettant de couper la barre pour obtenir des pellets courts.
