Die Festlegung der Klemmeinrichtung 31 in einer gewünschten Arbeitsposition erfolgt mittels eines Querbolzens 35, der durch die Hülse 34 und unterschiedlich angeordnete Bohrungen 36 in der Tragstange 33 eingesetzt werden kann. Zur Lösung dieses Querbolzens 35 aus den Bohrungen 36 ist dieser über einen Baudenzug 37 mit einem Betätigungshebel 38 an einer Lenkgabel 39 gekoppelt. Bei Betätigung des Betätigungshebels 38 wird der Querbolzen 35 aus den Bohrungen 36 gezogen, so daß sich die Klemmeinrichtung 31 auf der Tragstange 33 verschieben kann. Dieses Verschieben erfolgt bevorzugt in eine Richtung selbsttätig und zwar unter dem Zug einer Zugfeder 40, welche einerseits an der Klemmeinrichtung 31 festgelegt ist und diese andererseits mit einer hülsenförmigen Halterung 41 verbindet. Die Halterung 41 ist gleichfalls auf der Tragstange 33 verschiebbar angeordnet, wobei zur Festlegung der Halterung 41 auch die Bohrungen 36 dienen können. In diesem Fall werden die Bohrungen 36 von einem, gegebenenfalls federbelasteten Bolzen 42 durchquert. Sollte sich die Klemmeinrichtung 31 zu weit entfernt von der anderen Stirnfläche des Randsteines befinden, so wird der Betätigungshebel 38 gedrückt und der Querbolzen 35 aus der entsprechenden Bohrung 36 in der Tragstange 33 gezogen. Unter dem Zug der Zugfeder 40 erfolgt ein Hinziehen der Klemmeinrichtung 31 bzw. eines entsprechenden Anschlagkissens 56 zur Stirnfläche des Randsteines, wodurch dieser nunmehr zwischen der Klemmeinrichtung 31 und der Klemmeinrichtung 32 sitzt.

Claims (12)

  1. Apparatus for picking-up, setting-down and sinking-in edging stones or similar heavy workpieces for road-building purposes, having an operational tool (20) on a tension cable (16) which is guided on a gallows-like structure via at least one guide roller (14, 15), the operational tool (20) comprising a support bar (33), on which two clamping devices (31, 32) are disposed with a spacing therebetween, one clamping device (32) comprising an angle lever (43) which is connected to the support bar (33) via a pivot joint (44) and is rotatable about the pivot joint (44), characterised in that the angle lever (43) is pivotally mounted substantially centrally on a lever (50), at the free end of which a steering fork (39) is attached, and the other end of said lever (50) forms a hinged connection (45) with the support bar (33), the drive (23) for the tension cable (16) being controllable from the steering fork.
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that a switch box (53), having knobs (54) for operating the drive (23) for the tension cable (16), is situated on the steering fork (39).
  3. Apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that an actuating lever (38) for a Bowden cable (37) is situated on the steering fork (39).
  4. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the other clamping device (31) is displaceably disposed on the support bar (33) via a sleeve (34).
  5. Apparatus according to claim 4, characterised in that the sleeve (34) is traversed by a transverse pin (35) which also engages in a bore (36) in the transverse bar (33).
  6. Apparatus according to claim 5, characterised in that the transverse pin (35) communicates with the Bowden cable (37).
  7. Apparatus according to one of claims 4 to 6, characterised in that the sleeve (34) communicates with a holder (41) on the support bar (33) via a tension spring (40).
  8. Apparatus according to at least one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the gallows-like structure (12) sits on a loading surface (2) which is preferably part of an automatically operating unit.
  9. Apparatus according to claim 8, characterised in that the gallows-like structure is connected to the loading surface (2) via a joint (25).
  10. Apparatus according to one of claims 8 or 9, characterised in that drive assemblies (10) for the automatically operating unit, assemblies (24) for a drive (23) of a drum (22) for the tension cable (16), and containers for workpieces or the like to be manipulated are disposed on the loading surface (2).
  11. Apparatus according to at least one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the gallows-like structure (12) comprises a vertical member (19) and an arm (13), on which the guide roller (14, 15) for the tension cable (16) is disposed.
  12. Apparatus according to claim 11, characterised in that a weight (21) is situated on the arm (13) at the other end from the guide roller (14, 15).
