Description
The subject of the present invention is a packaging for fragile articles which may contain one or more articles, packaging of the type comprising a box whose lid and bottom are each closed by a membrane, a membrane trapping the article when the box is closed so as to that this article is suspended inside the box and is thus protected from shocks.
Several packages of this type exist and are described in particular in document GB-A-640,283; DE-A-1,461,963; US-A-4,087.003. All these packages have thermo-shrinkable plastic membranes to enclose the article to be packaged. The disadvantages of these packages are multiple and the main ones are the need to heat the package after having put the parts in place to cause the shrinkage of the membranes, the difficulty of fixing these heat-shrinkable membranes on the rigid halves of the package, the high pressure to which the articles trapped between the heat-shrinkable membranes may be subjected.
Document FR-A-2,239,878 describes a package in which the article to be protected is held between two sheets between which a vacuum is created. Here also it is necessary to have a special installation for the packaging of articles. In addition, the slightest damage a membrane can completely release the wrapped item.
Document US-A-2,837,208 describes a package comprising a housing making it possible to hold, suspended inside, a strip or support formed by two sheets surrounding objects and welded together so as to hold these objects in place.
Such packaging requires several operations, the production of the support carrying the articles to be packaged, the positioning of this support in the housing and then the destruction of the support when the packaging is opened to dispose of the articles.
Document US-A-2,681,142 also discloses a package comprising two hollow bodies sealed in a sealed manner by a membrane and connected by locking means. Once placed between the membranes and the hollow bodies locked one on the other, each cavity is inflated to apply the membranes against the object to be packaged. Here also the drawback is the handling and the need to have an inflation station for the packaging of these articles.
Finally, document CH-A-630,313 discloses a package formed from a box, the cover of which is provided with a membrane flush with its opening while the bottom is provided with a membrane situated in an intermediate plane between its opening and its front wall. These two membranes are mechanically fixed on the cover, respectively in the bottom, using nested rings, fixed or glued on the cover and the bottom.
The closure of these packages is obtained by fitting, which requires high precision manufacturing and leads to the complexity of providing the bottom membrane in said intermediate plane. In addition, in the closed position, the membranes do not necessarily touch around the wrapped article, which can affect its good maintenance.
The subject of the present invention is a packaging, in particular for fragile articles, of the type comprising two stackable halves each provided with a membrane, tending to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks in that it is easy to produce inexpensively, very easy to use , that is to say that it does not require any tools, inflation station or heating station and that moreover it is reusable.
Cet emballage se distingue par les caractéristiques énumérées à la revendication 1.This packaging is distinguished by the characteristics listed in
The accompanying drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example several embodiments of the packaging according to the invention.
Figure 1 illustrates in perspective a box or packaging according to the invention.
Figure 3 is a section similar to that illustrated in Figure 2, the box being closed.
Figure 4 is a perspective view of a second embodiment of the open box or package.
Figure 5 is a sectional view of a third embodiment of the box or closed package.
The packaging or box illustrated in Figures 1 to 3 consists of a
The
Two packaging halves are thus obtained, each closed by a flexible deformable membrane.
The object to be packaged is then placed on the
Each plastic connecting part has two parts 8, 9 coming from a manufacturing part and connected by a
The
These connecting pieces are obtained by injection of plastic, they are very inexpensive and allow quick and practical fixing of the two halves of the packaging.
To facilitate the closing of the packaging when the part to be packaged causes a relatively large displacement of the
The parts 8, 9 of the connecting parts are symmetrical and can therefore indifferently cooperate with the
Depending on the shape and the size of the
In the second embodiment illustrated in Figure 4, the
In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 5, the packaging comprises in the bottom 1 a continuous
In the closed, illustrated position of the packaging, the
As a result, such packaging can be provided for articles containing liquid, in particular blood samples. So even if the container containing the liquid has a defect or breaks, releasing the liquid, it does not escape from the packaging as long as it is kept in the closed position. This packaging thus provides additional security in the transport of liquid samples.
Many variants of the described packaging are possible without departing from the scope of the claimed protection. Indeed, the shape, the dimension and in particular the depth of the bottom and cover can vary. Matter used is also chosen according to needs.
- manufacturing is easy, inexpensive and can be automated,
- the membrane is easy to fix, exclusively mechanical and does not involve any welding bonding,
- the two halves of the packaging do not fit together, but simply juxtapose in the closed position,
- no tool or inflation, vacuum or heating station is necessary for the packaging of an object.
- the two halves of the packaging, as well as the connecting elements are reusable.
In addition, the packaging can preferably be made of a transparent synthetic material, as are the membranes, which allows an optical or visual verification when sending orders and / or receiving shipments. Similarly, the customs services can inspect the packaged goods without opening the packaging, which guarantees good control and avoids any risk of damage to the packaged parts by handling carried out by non-specialized persons.
