Description

The invention relates to a window system for monitoring the closing process of a motor-driven motor vehicle window pane in a motor vehicle door, with a motor-driven motor vehicle window pane, with a window opening inside the motor vehicle door, with a transmitter and a receiver for electromagnetic radiation, with at least one light-deflecting means which emits the electromagnetic radiation conducts from the transmitter to the receiver and in which the drive of the window pane is stopped or vice versa if the radiation intensity received by a receiver changes during the closing process of the window.

Ein derartiges Fenstersystem ist aus DE-A- 28 21 681 bekannt.Such a window system is known from DE-A-28 21 681.

Such systems are known and are used to prevent the trapping of limbs or objects during the closing process of a motor-driven window.

For example, DE-PS 31 07 847 proposes a device in which a light guide is attached along the closing edge of a window frame and guides a light beam from a transmitter to a receiver by means of total reflection. If this light guide, which is designed as an optical fiber bundle, is pressed together, for example because an object is jammed between the window and the window frame, the light intensity received by the receiver changes, whereupon the window drive is stopped or reversed.

In a further embodiment described in DE 31 07 847, it is proposed that the light guide be used form compressible, internally mirrored plastic tube.

Both embodiments have the disadvantage that a relatively complex and expensive light guide is required for the production of such a monitoring device.

The disadvantage is even more serious that the light guide must be deformed in order to respond to this monitoring device, so that the monitoring device only reacts after an object or a body part has already been pinched with a certain force.

Even if the pinching forces required to respond to the monitoring device are generally not too high, pinching is at least uncomfortable. A shock or panic reaction cannot be ruled out either. Pinching can even be damaging, for example if children's limbs are affected.

In der DE-A-28 21 681 wird ein System mit einem motorisch betriebenen Kraftfahrzeugfenster beschrieben, wobei am Fensterrahmen ein Strahlungsteiler vorgesehen ist, welcher die von einem Lichtsender abgegebenen Lichtimpulse auf mehrere Lichtempfänger verteilt.DE-A-28 21 681 describes a system with a motor-operated motor vehicle window, a radiation splitter being provided on the window frame, which distributes the light pulses emitted by a light transmitter to a plurality of light receivers.

As an alternative to the radiation splitter, the use of a second light transmitter or a light deflection device, which is arranged in the region of the radiation splitter, is also proposed.

This makes it possible to monitor the curved edge area of a window opening, but a relatively large amount of optical means is necessary, since either several light transmitters and / or light receivers or one Radiation splitter or a light deflection device is required.

In addition to the cost, it is also disadvantageous that suitable mounting locations must be found for all optical means and that the radiation splitter or the light deflection device in particular must be arranged in such a way that they do not have a disturbing effect or, in an aesthetic sense, act as foreign bodies.

It is also particularly disadvantageous that the beam path must be precisely adjusted when installing a spatially limited radiation splitter or light deflecting means, which is particularly time-consuming and expensive.

It is therefore the object of the invention to create a window system which is particularly simple and inexpensive and which also avoids the disadvantages described above. In particular, the window system should be able to influence the window pane drive before pinching takes place and, moreover, does not require any complex optical adjustment work during assembly.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the light-deflecting means is designed as a reflecting means, the reflecting means being designed as a metal sheet or a metal foil or as a reflective plastic layer or as a reflective lacquer layer and as part of the upper door pillar, or as part of the door interior trim, or arranged on the inner door panel extends along, at least in part, the upper edge area of the window opening.

Reflective means can be suitably designed flat or concave reflection surfaces, via which the electromagnetic radiation is guided from the transmitter to the receiver by means of single or multiple reflection.

This makes it possible to monitor the entire upper edge region of the window opening in a particularly simple manner, for example with only a simple light barrier arrangement consisting of an infrared transmitter and an infrared receiver. For this purpose, the infrared light is guided to the receiver by the light-deflecting means along the upper edge region of the window opening. If an object or a body part reaches this area during the closing process of the window, only a reduced radiation intensity reaches the receiver, which then causes the pane movement to be stopped or reversed via control electronics.

A particular advantage of such an arrangement is that no light-guiding medium is used, the light-guiding properties of which are changed by an external force, as is the case, for. B. is the case with an optical fiber bundle or with a compressible, internally mirrored hose or tube.

An object or body part at risk of being pinched can thus be sensed without being pinched beforehand. The arrangement is also particularly simple and inexpensive since, despite the curved beam path, only one transmitter and receiver is required.

A number of advantageous variants are possible for the formation of the reflecting means.

For example, an area of the underside of the upper door spar can be designed as a reflective means, for example by polishing its surface and coating it with a reflective lacquer. This configuration is particularly advantageous in view of the low cost of materials.

A strip of metal foil or sheet metal can also be applied as a reflecting agent along the underside of the upper door spar. Such a design offers the advantage that no special requirements have to be made of the shape of the door spar and that no subsequent shaping measures have to be carried out on it, since the specification of the light path is brought about by the shape of the applied reflecting agent and, for example, easily by bending it a sheet metal strip acting as a reflecting agent can take place.

A comparable advantage results if the reflecting means is designed as part of a door interior trim. Here, too, the direction of reflection can be predefined in a simple manner by the shape of the door interior trim without the need to change the door frame.

In all these cases, it is advantageous to protect the surface acting as a reflecting agent against scratching, for example, by a protective layer. The protective layer can, for. B. be formed as a dark infrared-transparent plastic film or as an infrared-transparent lacquer layer.

Such protective layers can also bring about an improvement in the aesthetic effect of the reflective agent, in particular if the reflective agent is in the form of a brightly polished metal surface.

Two exemplary embodiments of the window system according to the invention are shown in the drawing and are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.

FIG. 1 shows a schematic arrangement of the window system according to the invention,
FIGS. 2 and 3 each show, in two exemplary embodiments, a section through the partial area of FIG. 1 identified by AA.

In der Figur 1 ist die Außenansicht einer Kraftfahrzeugtür, die eine motorisch betriebene Fensterscheibe (1) sowie eine überwachungsvorrichtung aufweist, dargestellt.FIG. 1 shows the external view of a motor vehicle door which has a motor-operated window pane (1) and a monitoring device.

In the area of the upper edge of the window opening (5), a reflective means (4) is attached to the inside of the door in a manner to be described.

An infrared radiation transmitter (2) or an infrared radiation receiver (3) is arranged on the door or embedded in the door on opposite sides of the upper edge region of the window opening.

At least part of the radiation intensity emitted by the transmitter (2) reaches the receiver (3) from the infrared transmitter (2) via single or multiple reflection. A possible beam path is shown as an example in FIG.

Die Bezugszeichen für gleiche oder gleichwirkende Gegenstände entsprechen im folgenden denen der Figur 1.FIGS. 2 and 3 show a cross section through the area marked A-A in FIG. The reference numerals for the same or equivalent objects correspond to those in FIG. 1 below.

Figure 2 shows a cross section through the upper door spar (7). In the upper door spar (7) is one Rubber seal (10) fitted into which the motor-driven window pane (1) runs in during the closing process.

A flat area of the upper door handle (7) is used here as reflecting means (4).

The surface of the door bar plate has been polished in this area to achieve reflective properties. It is advantageous to provide this area of the door spar (7) with a protective cover (9). For example, an infrared-transparent protective lacquer or an infrared-transparent film is suitable for this.

Instead of polishing the area of the door spar (7) provided as reflecting means (4), the door spar (7) can also be provided with a reflective lacquer layer. Polished metal foils or metal sheets which are applied to this area of the door spar (7) are also suitable as reflecting means (4). The shape of the applied metal foil or sheet can easily be used to specify the beam path from the transmitter (2) to the receiver (3).

Another embodiment of the monitoring device according to the invention is shown in FIG. 3. In this embodiment, the upper door spar (7) is provided on the inside of the vehicle with an inner door panel (8). The reflecting means (4) is formed here by a reflecting surface on the inside door panel (8). The reflective surface, which is applied at a suitable point on the door interior trim (8), can also be designed here as a reflective lacquer layer or as a polished metal foil or sheet metal. A particular advantage of this embodiment can be seen in the fact that the adjustment of the light path by means of shaping measures, for example the door interior trim (8) can be done before the door lining (8) is attached to the door spar (7). The assembly and adjustment of the reflecting means (4) can therefore advantageously take place independently of the assembly of the door frame.

The reflective surface (4) applied to the door interior trim (8) is also covered in this exemplary embodiment by a suitable protective layer (infrared-transparent plastic film or infrared-transparent protective lacquer or the like).

In FIG. 1, the beam path (11) of the light directed from the transmitter (2) to the receiver (3) is shown in a highly simplified manner. In fact, different beam paths are possible, in particular depending on the shape of the reflecting means (4), in particular by means of multiple reflections. It is therefore advantageous to design the receiver (3) or the electronics connected to it in such a way that it does not react solely to a lack of light, but already to a reduction in the light intensity, so that the window drive is already influenced when a possible light path is interrupted.

Conversely, it is also possible to use only the light component which is directed directly (ie by means of simple reflection) from the transmitter (2) to the receiver (3) for monitoring. This allows the attachment of reflective means (4) to a smaller portion of the upper edge of the window opening (5).

Other devices belonging to the monitoring device, such as. B. the control circuits or the mechanical part of the window drive are well known, so that it can be omitted here. The only advantageous measures to be proposed here are that the transmitter (2) is operated in pulsed mode and the receiver (3) should be provided with a tube in order to rule out interference from direct or scattered light and to further increase the sensitivity of the system.
