Claims (15)

  1. Apparatus for manufacturing a multi-ply paper or cardboard, having a primary machine wire (10) and a secondary machine wire (16, 18) as a twin-wire former (D), said apparatus depositing one layer of the multi-ply paper or cardboard on another layer, wherein the twin-wire former (D) has a forming roller (24) as a roller for deflecting the course of the twin wire (16, 18) and a strip former is disposed upstream of the forming roller (24) in the direction of travel of the twin wire (16, 18), characterised in that a suction box (32) is disposed in the region of the upper wire of the twin-wire former (D) and in that the water line of the fibre material, generally with a dry matter content of 5 to 8%, lies on the forming roller (24).
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the strip former is equipped with pressure strips (30).
  3. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the quantity of water discharged in the upper wire (18) at the forming roller is drained into a collecting device (31).
  4. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the level of the primary machine wire (10) is below that of the secondary machine wire (16, 18), wherein the twin-wire former (D) deposits an upper layer of the multi-ply paper or cardboard on a lower layer.
  5. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the two wires (16, 18) of the twin-wire former (D) upstream of the forming roller (24) extend together substantially horizontally at least in part.
  6. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the two wires (16, 18) of the twin-wire former (D) downstream of the forming roller (24) extend together substantially vertically at least in part.
  7. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the two wires (16, 18) of the twin-wire former (D) downstream of the forming roller (24) run downwards together at an angle of approximately 45 degrees at least in part.
  8. Apparatus according to claim 7, characterised in that if the twin wire (16, 18) runs horizontally, the suction box (32) is disposed above it and the pressure strip former (30) below it.
  9. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the forming roller (24) is an open forming roller.
  10. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that at least one further water-discharging element (33) is disposed between the strip former and the forming roller (24).
  11. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the twin-wire former (16, 18) is provided with a secondary head-box (23).
  12. Apparatus according to claim 11, characterised in that the secondary head-box (23) is oriented into the angle where the two wires (16, 18) converge.
  13. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the multi-ply web running over the primary machine wire (10) is deposited on a further web lying on a further machine wire (10').
  14. Apparatus according to claim 1 or 13, characterised in that the primary machine wire (10) lies approximately at the same level as the secondary machine wire (16).
  15. Apparatus according to claim 13 or 14, characterised in that the twin-wire former (D) deposits an upper layer of the multi-ply paper or cardboard on a middle layer formed on the primary machine wire (10), and the primary machine wire deposits the two aforesaid layers on a further, bottom layer.
