Definitions
- the invention relates to flue gas chimneys, such as are used to derive the harmful smoke and flue gases at heights in commercial combustion plants, in particular power plants, which guarantee a sufficient mixture with atmospheric air and thus, when the gases are precipitated, a dilution, which both humans and the animal and plant world is no longer harmful if possible.
- the chimney draft is the negative pressure that prevails at the mouth of the flue gas duct or at the foot of the chimney. It represents the weight difference between the warm amount of exhaust gas inside the chimney and the same amount of cold outside air. From this theoretically effective tensile strength, the resistances have to be subtracted, which the gases have to overcome on their way from the fresh air entering the fireplace to the chimney outlet .
- the following may be considered: the resistance of the fresh air in the grate and when penetrating the fuel layer, the resistance of the combustion gases in the area of the boiler, in the steam superheater, in the fly ash trap, in the flue gas preheater, in the required filters, denitrification and desulfurization systems, along the flue gas duct and finally in the chimney pipe itself.
- Flue gas chimneys in modern power plants are typically 200 to 300 m high and dimensioned for flue gas quantities of up to 2.5 million m3 / h and more, for example.
- the flue gases themselves are filtered, desulfurized, denitrified and washed for reasons of air pollution control. Nevertheless, it is found that many particulate pollutants are still emitted at the chimney mouth. In coal or oil-fired power plants, these particles contain sulfur, which increases rust damage.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a flue gas chimney which, under the given conditions, enables the residual fractions of solid particles still present after the filtering, desulphurization, denitrification and scrubbing of the flue gases to be eliminated to a very large extent without impermissibly increasing the flow resistances of the flue gases.
- Particle separators such as those used in accordance with the present invention, have hitherto been used exclusively to break down the ground material in a mill to separate coarse and a fine fraction. They process classifying air with a relatively high proportion of classifying material. Particles whose grain is larger than the separation limit are collected in a semolina cone at the bottom of the housing, while the so-called fine material leaves the housing with the classifying air. The fine material is separated from the classifying air in downstream cyclones.
- the so-called dynamic classifier has proven to be the optimal type of particle separator. This has a rotor with blades, fins or rods, which gives the flue gases the swirl required for the separation, while the flue gases can flow without deflection.
- the shaft is above the rotor drive and the rotor is above its shaft.
- the rotor drive itself hangs under an intermediate floor, either under an intermediate floor of the chimney or under an intermediate floor in the classifier housing. Because of this arrangement, the cleaned flue gases have the full cross-section available, so that the flow resistances remain low; in addition, the rotor drive is not exposed to the aggressive smoke gases, so that special Protective measures are unnecessary. Accessibility for maintenance is optimal. The stability is better than with the hanging arrangement.
- the housing of the particle separator can not only stand on an intermediate floor in the chimney, but also on the foundation of the chimney or on a foundation separate from the foundation of the chimney.
- the latter variant has the advantage that vibrations from the rotor do not affect the chimney.
- the rotor drive i.e. the drive motor and the reduction gear are also positioned directly on the foundations.
- the shaft should be mounted on the drive shaft of the rotor drive or the reduction gear so that it can move in an angular manner, preferably by means of a tooth coupling.
- the rotor In order to be able to sufficiently purify a flue gas quantity of, as already mentioned, more than 2.5 million m3 / h, the rotor must have a diameter of typically 10 m. With such dimensions and due to the special arrangement of the rotor shaft and the rotor, it is necessary to additionally support the rotor shaft above or below the rotor.
- this is done by means of radial struts against the housing.
- the struts are conically directed, the arrangement should be chosen so that the flue gases do not flow through the struts and the flow resistances of the flue gases remain minimal.
- the struts as a closed support cone and skillful dimensioning and positioning of the same, the deflection of the flue gases from the horizontal to the vertical can even be influenced favorably.
- All figures show the base of a flue gas chimney 1, built on a foundation 8, with a side opening 2 for a flue gas duct 3.
- the chimney 1 has a height of 270 m, for example, and is dimensioned for a flue gas quantity of 2.8 million m3 / h .
- the flue gas duct 3 then has a height of 10 m.
- the 1 shows an upper intermediate floor 4 and a lower intermediate floor 5 inside the chimney 1, which is additionally supported by supports 7.
- the bottom 6 of a dynamic classifier 10 is fastened on the lower intermediate floor 5.
- the classifier 10 has a housing 11, in the center of which a rotor 14 with vanes is fastened on a rotor shaft 13.
- the rotor shaft 13 is driven with the aid of a speed-controllable rotor drive 15, which is under the intermediate floor 5 or the sifter floor 6 hangs on a special shaft bearing 16.
- Radial struts 17 support the rotor shaft 13 below the rotor 14 against the housing 11.
- the flue gases arriving in the flue gas duct 3 go directly into the classifier housing 11, are freed of the particles still contained therein by means of the rotor 14 and leave the classifier 10 through a flue gas outlet 12 in the ceiling of the classifier housing 11.
- the separated particles fall to the bottom 6 the sifter 10, where they are mechanically removed.
- FIG. 2 shows a variant of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1.
- This variant relates to the additional support of the standing rotor shaft 13.
- the support struts 18 are directed conically, so that they not only do not increase the flow resistance of the flue gases, but under certain circumstances even lower them, since they deflect the flue gases from the horizontal flow direction in the flue gas duct 3 in favor the vertical flow direction in the chimney 1.
- FIG 3 shows an embodiment in which the classifier housing 11 does not stand on an intermediate floor of the chimney 1, but rather directly on a foundation 9 separate from the chimney foundation 8.
- vibrations generated by the rotating classifier parts - rotor 14, rotor shaft 13 and rotor drive 15 - are not conducted into the chimney 1 but into the foundation 9, thereby effectively preventing structural damage.
- FIG. 3 shows an intermediate floor 19 in the classifier housing 11, on which the conically oriented support struts 18 of the standing rotor shaft 13 are supported.
- the support struts 18 are preferred as closed support cone designed to support the aforementioned deflection of the flue gas flow from the horizontal in the flue gas duct 3 into the vertical in the chimney 1.
- FIG. 4 shows an embodiment in which not only the classifier housing 11 but also the rotor drive, consisting of the drive motor 24 and reduction gear 23, are on the base 8 of the chimney 1.
- a tooth coupling 25 is provided between the drive shaft of the reduction gear 23 and the rotor shaft 13, which allows angular movements of the rotor shaft 13.
- the rotor shaft 13 itself is supported against the housing 11 by means of radial struts 22 above the rotor 14.
- An intermediate floor in the housing 11 is designed as a semolina cone 21, from which the separated particles are drawn off with the aid of the lock 20.

Abstract
Description
In kohle- bzw.
- Fig. 1 eine erste Ausführungsform eines Rauchgaskamins,
- Fig. 2 eine zweite Ausführungsform eines Rauchgaskamins,
- Fig. 3 eine dritte Ausführungsform eines Rauchgaskamins und
- Fig. 4 eine vierte Ausführungsform eines Rauchgaskamins.
