Description

The invention relates to a filling device for bulk goods with a filling funnel, which is surrounded at its open, discharge-side end by a housing in which two funnel flaps are pivotally mounted.

Filling devices of this type are known, for example, from GB 2 034 904 A and are used, for example, to fill previously weighed bulk goods into bags. Depending on its grain size, the bulk material can very easily tend to form dust.

So it was found in filling devices of the generic type that between the upper end of the funnel flaps and the open end of the filling funnel, which come to lie next to each other when the funnel flaps are open, for example when filling dust-like PVC powder, about 1% by weight of the bulk material to be filled get lost. This means that with 100 filled bags, the contents of an entire bag will be lost.

The object of the present invention is to provide a filling device of the generic type, in which such filling losses are largely suppressed.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the filling funnel has a circumferential profile on its outside and that sealing rubber strips are arranged on the funnel flaps, which bear tightly against the circumferential profile when the funnel flaps are opened. With this inventive measure, the space between the filling funnel and the funnel flaps that extend it is closed dust-tight, so that the losses occurring in the prior art no longer occur.

Guide and sealing plates for closing the open end of the filling funnel can be arranged within the funnel flaps. In this way, by appropriately controlling the funnel flaps, the filling funnel can be closed when the filling device is at a standstill.

In the case of the filling funnels which can be tightly closed according to the invention, blockages or plug formation can occur in the tapering funnel area. In order to avoid such blockages, a dust extraction device can be connected to the housing that surrounds the end of the filling funnel like a hood. This also serves to keep the work area as dust-free as possible.

According to a further aspect of the invention, the generic hopper is therefore to be further developed in such a way that blockages or plug formation in the tapering hopper area are prevented without having to extract air laden with solids.

As can be seen in FIG. 1, the filling funnel 12 forms the core of the filling device 10. The filling funnel 12 is composed of several segments which initially taper only slightly. In its lower region, however, the hopper 12 is tapered towards a tubular end region. The filling funnel 12 has a rectangular cross section. In the lower area it is enclosed by a hood-like housing 14. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1, 2, connecting pieces of a dust extraction 16 are connected to the hood 14. The dust-containing atmosphere in the region of the discharge-side end of the filling funnel 12 can be suctioned off by means of a suction fan (not shown in more detail here).

The discharge-side end of the filling funnel 12 is surrounded by a jacket 38 which runs parallel to the filling funnel 12 and in which two dust compensation lines 34 open. These dust compensation lines run essentially parallel to the hopper and open into the feed end of the hopper.

Fig. 2). As shown in more detail in particular in FIGS. 2 and 3, two funnel flaps 18 and 20 are pivotably mounted in the housing 14 via arms 26 mounted on the pivot axes 28. These two funnel flaps are designed so that they partially overlap on the sides. The respective overlapping parts of the side walls are shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 with dashed lines. The cross section according to FIG. 4 shows in detail how the left funnel flap 18 and the right funnel flap 20 each overlap laterally. A guide and sealing plate 22 or 24 is welded into each of the funnel flaps. In the open position of the funnel flaps 18 and 20, the guide and sealing plates form an extension of the lower end of the filling funnel 12 (cf. FIG. 2). In the controlled position of the funnel flaps 18 and 20, the guide and sealing plates 22 and 24 close the filling funnel 12, as shown in FIG. 3.

Fig. 2). The directed funnel flaps lie with their end region facing the filling funnel parallel to the filling funnel 12 and thus simultaneously to the jacket 36 surrounding it, as shown in FIG. 2. A partially beveled circumferential profile 32 is placed on the outside of the jacket 36. With the bevel of this circumferential profile 32, sealing rubber strips provided on the end regions of the funnel flaps 18 and 20 engage in a sealing manner (cf. FIG. 2). As a result, the filling loss of the bulk material is considerably reduced during the filling process.
